Seen a lot a of newer comments saying this video has 'aged like milk' now despite the fact that when this was written Elemental was one of the worst performing pixar movies of all time, whilst other studios were innovating and finding success. I've also seen a lot of comments about Elemental apparently beating 'Across the Spider-Verse' when that hasn't been the case, that's just mis leading media outlets. What Elemental has done 'so far' is beat Across the Spider-verse internationally, domestically it's flopped, and overall Across the Spider-verse is currently still winning. Subjectively I didn't enjoy Elemental, and objectively when writing it was one of the lowest performing pixar movies of all time. Meat-riding Pixar is so strange because you're giving them a pass too make really bland films and that's my take. Video may have aged like milk to some, but to me I'm happy knowing that making this video has transformed the traction to my channel greatly and for that I'm thankful to everyone who liked the video and subscribed
Because Sony has one of the most profitable characters ever, a story that never gets old no matter how many times it’s told. Not to mention the many writers and unique animation style they have chosen.
Honestly, Elemental surprised me when I went to go see it last week. It wasn’t anything crazy, but the movie was incredibly charming and sweet. I think the movie didn’t deserve the hate it was getting.
I think the big thing is that movies prices are so expensive and you're watching a film that doesnt really justify the means of paying that amount of money in the cinema.
@@ltcobra. You are right I’m ashamed to admit I spent 30 fucking dollars watching the movie and buying food for me and my brother. It wasn’t really worth the experience, although I did see spiderverse a month earlier and spent the same amount of money and honestly it was more worth it. The movie was amazing and it justified my purchase.
It wasn’t a bad movie by no means but I felt like there are some things that did bother me with the film nothing that could make hate its guts (unlike most people who may have there reasons). It’s an okay film and it may be basic and predictable but it’s has something to work with and I would recommend some changes here and there but that’s just me. But I will say two things definitively killed elementals box office, across the spider verse and the awful way Disney and Pixar decided to advertise the film. Seriously I can see why people jumped the boat especially with that clod post.
At least for me, it’s not that the movies are bad, but that you’d expect a lot more for a budget of 200 million. At best they give a mostly-recycled mediocre plot, which isn’t always bad but definitely not worth the cost and far under the standards they should be held to.
I’m not going to lie, I actually really like that people care whether a movie is good or puts in effort/cares more than if its from a recognizable franchise or company. It allows creative and passionate films the chance to shine and boy have they shone. I’m a cynic when it comes to movies and the first to hate what everyone else loves, but its amazing we’ve had movies as good as Everything Everywhere all at Once, Puss in Boots Last Wish, and Across the Spider-Verse so soon after one another. And they’ve all seen good critical and box office success. Obviously not to the levels of Avatar 2 or Disney Star Wars (even at their worst with ROS still taking home a billion), but they’ve done incredibly well for their namesakes, mediums, and budgets. Everything Everywhere all at Once was an independent movie on a 25mil budget and released during the pandemic. Puss in Boots is a shrek spin off that already had lost a lot of wind (in its name) on a 90ish million budget arguably still released in covid cinema era. Across the Spider-Verse has a massive name and excitement, but is still in the animation medium (traditionally not as wide an audience) and only has a $100 million budget. With how big film studios are sacrificing everything to churn out the most popular franchises in lifeless fashion and with production budgets rising to insane costs for very little pay off in actual movie quality and story telling, I’d love to see the downfall of more major franchises and studios. Not into oblivion but at least to the point where they HAVE to start being creative and making the type of breakout movies that put them on the map in the first place.
The answer is simple: Love and Care. Sony puts love and care into their projects, Pixar on the other hand, recently has just been making whatever will get them a quick buck.

Actually the Sony animation and marvel film across the SpiderVerse is now on Netflix in the USA after 18 months later, it will then be on Disney+ likely sometime in around mid to late 2025 to increase those prices for Disney
