- We have been seeing a lot of new OSes, be it Xiaomi's HyperOS or vivo's BlueOS but there is one Android OS that makes sense in 2023!
We are talking about the new GrapheneOS based on Android 14, a non profit and open source Android OS, which brings some really cool privacy features, a de-Googled experience while allowing you to use Google apps and services without all the tracking.

This is the beebom i have subscribed for
...and pornhub.
Then you should uninstall because these are once in a blue moon 🫠
As far as now this is the best solution for the problem kudos to the team who developed this os and also for the beebom team as well for bringing content like this keep it up looking forward for more content like this peace out ✌️
Hey Beebom! it's so encouraging to see companies pushing the boundaries of what's possible in tech. Keep bringing us these exciting updates!
Great content brother! We need more such videos including some GCAMs talks. 😊
That a was very useful, quick and concise video. Good job guys!
Man you are amazing and a real geek
The only tech youtuber that does reviews and has the courage to say how privacy invasive google really is
Keep it up 👍
Great video... If you discussed about battery life on this custom ROM would have helped viewers more....
Network permission is most useful, few apps installed for offline usage, use network to show ads, example mx player.
Its amazing to see Beebom make video on Graphene os. I'm glad.
Don't care whoever is bringing the features in device, as a xiaomi user I'm sure it will be soon available in my device also 😎😎
what ???
No tracking, No ads, full privacy, full security, etc...
you think Chinese company Xiaomi is gonna bring that ? 😂😂😂
even Apple, Samsung and Google don't have that.
edit: lol, all the "TECHNICAL PEOPLE" replying tot his comment.
let me tell you one thing. He wasn't talking about Installing Custom ROMs, cause that has nothing to do with Xiaomi, almost every Android phones based on Snapdragon is able to flash roms.
and secondly GrapheneOS the ROM they are talking about is most useful for security only on PIXEL devices cause it uses their Hardware level security "TITAN CHIPS" just like Samsung has Knox Security.
@@MarcSpctrCustom OS.
@@MarcSpctrXiaomi users can install custom os of any Android phones 😅

Excellent and excited and want to use it 👍
Where can i get wallpaper showed in video ? btw awesome video👍
Background music was insane! Standing ovation to editor
The background music track is dope
i prefer project elixir on my 4 year old device, still runs like butter on a13 and a14 coming soon. Thanks to all developers.
It will be interesting to see battery backup test comparison between graphene OS and vanilla Google rom.
absolutely!
I couldn't find a battery life test for Graphene OS anywhere on the web
i ran graphene os for at least 6 months and battery life was improved by about 12 to 15% on my older pixel 6a, now i have a 7a and haven't switched because Google's rom has Google wallet and that doesn't work in graphene.
I am using Vanilla voltage os with graphene support.
The BB is insane
Excellent work
Unbelievably Amazing!!! I can't believe something like this exists and is functional. Is it a dream??
What happened to Beebom's old intro music. Really missed it 😢
Let's bring that custom os era back.
Og beebom 🔥
I stopped caring about custom ROMs a long ago. No sane man wants his camera compromised. Gcam doesn't justify the sacrifice of stock cam. Headache of banking apps crashing and detecting root. Happy with stick ROMs now.
@@sudhakar7889I've been using custom roms for years now the popular ones have stock camera modded in and all banking apps works and has play protect enabled
@@sudhakar7889 same here but ut was fun until your dad is paying for the phone 😂 sokh papa k paise se hi pure hote he apne paise se to bas jarurate nikalte he.

Nice video bro
Appreciate💯
The issue with all those custom Android ROMs is the camera app. You won't achieve native OS video quality in custom ROMs due to the incompatible camera app that comes with them. It may work well for Pixel series phones because it supports GCam for both photo and video perfectly. Otherwise, you'll be left with GCam providing only good quality photos on other phones.
Gcam is much better than stock rom camera wdym
Also you can get stock camera working on any rom too just ask around and someone will help you
Lol. Not all phones have this issues. I have mi11x and it has stock miui camera working with all features in it.
Official pixel camera is available for grapheneOS phone. I use it on p4a
I doo agree..
both on my OnePlus 5t and LG V30 I couldn't get the same level of videography features. Gcam is a HUGE win in photos, not in videos. In my experience not all devices supported native camera after installing custom ROM.
( Just my opinion no hard feelings )
@@MetaDudeHassan bhai kya haal chaal
Remember me?
The phone was pixel so Google Camera aka Pixel camera is working fine or not? Does the camera have a pixel Camera UI?
May I ask for a video/article of custon ROMs available for various categories like customisation, stock android experience, privacy, performance, etc.?
You should've talked about the camera performance compared to the stock. Also, custom OS has always problems with the payments apps. It would be good to know if payment apps work with Graphene OS
GrapheneOS is a Pixel exclusive device. You can run Play Store apps in sandboxed mode. Other cfws have their own ways of making those apps run but graphene is the easiest. Except I don't like Pixels. 😅
they showed google pay working in the device....
Google Pay does not work but banking apps do work.
Banking apps do work, but you have to enable "exploit protection compatibility mode" for each individual app for most of them to work. I'm using chase, wells fargo, and discover just fine after the above option was enabled.
Bring thse types of video more, does camera work well, other than pixel phone
Superb ❤
i have LG v60 with imie patch
can i install without having any trouble like patch problem or fingerprint sensor not worling etc?
As a Nepalese citizen,
The reasons why I love this guy is he focus on quality content unlike other UA-camrs who just makes video longer and boring.
And the second reason is the way he mention price in short content.
How does you being a Nepali matter here

Typical bot comment. Price in short content? Bhaang khake vdo dekh raha kya?
Why did you just randomly mention how you are nepali
Very good video and yes, grapheneos is an excellent privacy focused os
Have you tried snapping on the Os, does it produce the same quality as google cam would on a Pixel. Please more videos covering more of this would be appreciated
Explain lil bit
I don't think so
@@meowflix69custom OS compromise on camera quality
Custom OS mostly focuses on privacy, not camera quality
No you can get Gcam and import an infinite number of xml made by users to use it as you like
Will this comprise phone's power.. Like in gaming, multitasking and stuff?
I have an TCL 305 phone lying around will GrapheneOS work? I haven't looked around I might try to run a custom ROM on it.
Wooooowww!!! 😳 These Privacy features are so insane! ❤️🔥🤩 I want to buy this type of one phone!
beebom at its best. 🤘🏻
i have iqoo z6 pro 5g. So is stock rom camera better or gcam is better for this phone?
I have used graphene os named as voltage os for Asus Max pro M1 based on Android 13
Does it pass safety net and do the banking apps work? Including googlepay?
The BIG problem is that you need a Pixel device. Hardly anyone has one of those
Shouldn't be that way. They are as easy to get as any other phone.
U can also flash lineage os + microg
I see pixels like everywhere this year in Bangalore
Why pixel device?
@@Hercules_1234because after rooting the Titan security still works unlike other phones.
Hey @beebomco can I use the google account I have right now for the play store on this? Or would I have to make a new one? Just wondering if I can use graphene while keeping all my apps and in app purchases or not
Great video..great os..i would like google to collab with samsung on this in s25 maybe..
Nice trick man, you did not mention that this OS only work for Google Pixel Phone and you allowed everyone to watch till the end.
Already implemented on voltage os for redmi note 10 pro
Samsung book 2 i5 12th gen vs hp pavilion eg2017tu konsa lu suggestion dijiye please.
I guarantee you this phone shown...is a Pixel 7a!! IMO the best Pixel ever created today, all around. Good choice and great video!! I'm waiting for the price to drop in Xmas and I'll get it to install GOS on it.
Update: I got the 8 for the security updates for 7 years.
graphene is that OS, that can be flahed with letting the compromize-check on pixel phones intact? thats realy great - that should deffenetly work on more smartphone, not only on Pixel phones. The feature, to let run google service in a sandbox is also a realy great idea. since modern custom OS don`t come with an easy to install Google Services, thats realy handy. Thats also the only kind of Custom OS, especialy security-focused, that i can see me use in 2023.
having only essential stuff is great but the day I stopped using custom OS/unlocking bootloader was when Netflix, Amazon prime apps started having some DRM issue and wont stream on 1080p. Couldn't figure out any way to bypass it like say the Banking apps. Switched and made myself get used to OneUI (better than touchwiz which made me want to use custom roms in the first place)
That's because of something called SafetyNet. Magisk has a module that can spoof the SafetyNet, thus allowing them to work.
I Used This Type of Rom 5 Years Back I Didn't Remember That Rom Name But Look Similar
The selected files and images option is there in IOS since way before I got it on my 7 plus running iOS 14
Using graphene and love it !
Please make a video for a complete installation.
@beebom How to update the old Android version of mobile to this os or any other. I have a 2gb version mobile phone?? Suggest something..
I saw the same video on this OS , on David Bombal channel

Beeboom always rocks.✌️
After using this os can i use my one ui Features?
That's cool scopes
Graphene os is only available for pixel devices. Though there are many other degoogled custom roms, some of which also have support for sandboxed gapps like voltage os.
Lineage is is good alternative too
@@HackAlert1 lineage doesn't support sandboxed gapps bruh
you can lock bootloader and have verified boot in pixels. Other devices dont support this level of security with custom roms
@@Lynx_0_7 ofcourse but not everyone buys a pixel right, the next best thing is something like I mentioned

Well i think i should port it to moto edge 40, but getting kernel source is a problem with mediatek phones

The only issue is it only supports a few phones. Does it have the new oneUI 6 updated?
@beebom it's work with samsung a20?
No cheap jokes, no shits. Just infos and infos. Thats beebom
The main reason graphene is available only on pixel is due to the fact that bootloader can be re-locked with user defined custom keys.
None of the other Android phones have that.
Fastboot oem lock
@@OmaxDnapster That relocks the phone with the OEM key not user defined key
@@OmaxDnapsterlock that on a custom rom and you will have a brick 💀. Only pixel have ability to lock bootloader on customer rom as of my knowledge 😊
There are a few other prerequisites, like firmware support and IOMMU isolation. Each phone candidate gets pentested before it gets approval, otherwise you'd be getting a subpar phone.
@@LDRTHMFirmware sure.
IOMMU would be SoC dependent right?
So two smartphones with the same SoC should be equal in that regard. ie Unless companies are fusing off sections of the CPU.
can you make full installation process of graphene os..
bro what about camera app and bank apps????
Does it is available for realme 6 ? And I'm using arch Linux for all this flashing and other stuffs please help

no only google pixel
Make a video on HyperOS, which will be replaced by MIUI. It will be similar yet different at the same time.

Limited to Google pixel 😅 bt how to install other phone??
How does this compare to LineageOS or other OS's? How convenient is the process to change from stock to Graphene? How does it hold up for devices older than 2-3 years?
Only available for pixel phones
More secure and feature complete than stock lineage os, but lineage os also runs on way more devices, while graphene is only for pixels.
can i able to install it on realme x2 ?
For me the major drawback of custom rom is widevine L1 not available.
@@akibjabarbhat9589 meaning explain
But this os cant be installed in every phone right?
Voltage OS does better, bring graphene stuff to other devices as well, but there's one thing I hate is that their unprofessional customisation and stuff, they do mess on that side.
eg. removing header color from header bar in settings, in past they included improper m3 switches, and just doesn't provide the perfection feel..
If anyone install this as a custom rom , can he get OS update continuously like normal system update or he will have to boot the rom like he did at first time when he installed this through twrp or anything.
But what about the security features which gets stop when we unlock developer mode and turn off OEM. No encryption will work in messaging app.
BS.
Encryption has nothing to do with the bootloader and dev options.
But is it really Secure (Open source or trust me bro thing)
would have been great to see if theres a huge battery life improvement.
Battery lasts much longer in grapheneos
Custom ROMs won't improve battery life. It totally depends on CPU, Display brightness and your use cases.
If your current uses too much CPU then you can see difference in battery life in Custom ROM as they use less CPU and RAM.
@@karthikeyan53 kinda makes sense, but i was just wondering since the phone wont be running pretty much anything in the background and wont be always listening and tracking and stuff, so would have been great to see how much that aspect of a phone effects your battery life.
