Mia’s acting was ridiculously good. It was the heart of the series; her breakdowns were heart-wrenching. It’s good to see that Mia is in her teens; I would have worried about her emotional safety if she had been younger.
@@pacificwuxiaI read she was 11 when she recorded her lines. Also, she thought about what it would be like to lose her little brother as Powder lost Vi.
Per the interview, she did all the voice work for Powder when she was 11 so she's not far off at all from the character, age-wise. Her natural speaking voice does still sound suuuper childlike here even at 16.
@@ccwaggoner Honestly, that just makes it even more impressive. For an 11-year-old to pour such authentic emotional weight into the delivery of some of those more intense lines in episode 3 is _insane._
Silco was my favorite character in this show. He was SO intriguing and had so many facets to his persona. The voice actor did a wonderful job conveying all the emotions he went through, some so minute you might just miss it if you blink, and that made me love the character even more despite him being labeled the "main villain" of this season. He was never the villain in my eyes.
I mean, he is the antagonist, so he's the villain in that sense, but I get what you mean, he isn't the stereotypical black/white evil world-dominating villain, he just wants independance and having his people stop getting treated like garbage, his character is more of an anti-hero than anything.
I loved Jinx more with her acting. The little cracks and emotions sometimes in the lines are so insane. But Silco is second for me. He did sooooo good.
@@Dead25m he is an antagonist, but he's not a villain. Villains usually lack depth. Voldemort and Thanos are so two dimensional, you can't feel any sense of attachment to them. But Silco, he's so complex you can't give him such a black and white label
It's funny because I thought exactly what he thought when I first heard it. There's so much profundity in the things he says in that monologue, its unbelievable how much he says in so little in this show.
Agree, its low key terrifying and mesmerizing at the same time I cant help but think about the altercation between Vander and Silco - Im not sure I can see him as the bad guy
Mia freakin owned act 1 I have never in the thousands of shows and movies I've seen been more affected by a character in my life that had to be super hard to do so kudos to her for truly showing so much of herself in that scene
Jason and Mia were, without question, the vocal MVPs of the entire series. Hailee was, of course, her usual exceptional self, but Jason and Mia were on another level, in my view.
I am completely new to League of Legends and the Arcane verse, that I find myself so stunned by this cast. Silco and Jinx SOARED to the top of my favorites while watching the show. I am now so utterly enamored by Jason!
Jason he's smart and experienced enough to analyse and study the character in order to bring the character to life. The guy knows his shit!! Great job!! 👏
I loved the animation style of the show. Reminded me of Into the Spiderverse. Every frame was like a painting. Side note: that Powder voice actress is very brilliant for a 16 y/o
both of you did a FAN TAS TIC job!! mia espacially in episode 3 transported so much emotion that someone began to cut onions next to me .... and i guess i have way more respect and understanding of silco then i should have. i am always fascinated with voice acting but arcane blow my mind and here are my two favorite voices of the show. (well place 2 and 3. its hard to beat Shohreh Aghdashloos voice :D)
Doing voice acting before animation is pretty common in the industry. I learned that from a behind the scenes featurette for animated adaptations of the Book of Mormon. The studio that made them would later go on to make The Swan Princess and the director had worked at Disney prior to starting the company.
Astounding voice acting on their parts! They truly made the show magic. Their voices alone conveyed such huge emotion, and they both had such joy and passion for the characters.
I think that studio would be great for my future idea for a "Railway Series" movie (hopefully for theaters since "Arcane"'s animation would look better that way). That way, it would look like the book illustrations are coming to life. My idea is to make it a mockumentary in the style of "Surf's Up" and the interviews would take place during the events of "The Eight Famous Engines" where the engines are being interviewed about their lives in London and we see footage of the various events that happened in the previous books. It's like the engines are narrating their own books. I even have a little bit of a dream cast including Eddie Redmayne as Thomas (I also thought about Ewan McGregor and someone said they wanna hear James McAvoy do him), Ben Winslaw as Edward, Ralph Fiennes as Gordon, John Oliver as James, and Nick Mohammed as Percy. I also came up with an idea for a second movie focusing on the little engines on the Skarloley railway and the interviews are set in the story where they appear on television (a story that didn't even get televised). In addition, I thought the story "Gordon goes Foreign" could work as its own feature film. I want this to stay faithful to the Rev. W. Awdry's legacy.
They don't exactly hate the game, the community is just so toxic in-game that people who play league regurarly want others to stay away from the dumpsterfire.
"I feel i did my best work"
Girl you made me cry my eyes out.
silcos voice actor is outstanding

Loved him as Vulpes Inculta.
@@pacificwuxia In a sense it was probably not even acting, she had to be quite messed up after that one scene xD

I can't believe she does both
Yes good lord the voice at the end of episode 3 hurt me in my heart.

Man, I just watched Arcane again, and I gotta say that Mia totally nailed the despair of Powder on episode 3. Very moving ):
Wow she's only 16! She is a very skilled voice actor!
And was only 11 when she recorded!
@@Dead25m so they've been working on this since 2016? holy shit

She looks 20, sounds 12 and is 16 haha
I literally stopped the show during the "drowning monologue" Jason refers to TO FIND OUT WHO PLAYED SILCO, because Jesus Christ--it's absolute poetry.

If squid game didn't save Netflix.
Arcane was gonna do it anyways
Mia's voice work in episode 3 literally brought me to tears.
Silco was an amazing villain, relatable, powerfull, yet with beliveable falwes and weaknessnes. But most importantly, the hero of his own story.
Mia freakin owned act 1 I have never in the thousands of shows and movies I've seen been more affected by a character in my life that had to be super hard to do so kudos to her for truly showing so much of herself in that scene

Jason Spisak seems like a cool dude
"Do you ever wonder what it's like to drown" Damn, I got chills. Both are incredible performances.

They are very proud of their work in the show and I love it

@@matthewweatherford6566 Yup, and it's a good thing she's a fire sign like me in astrology. That makes me and her compatible
True. One main reason why Silco was so menacing, is the restrain in the voice. You don't want him to lose patience with you. :)

Mia Sinclair is only 16? Wow, she looks like she's a 25 year old professional (not to be mean, but just that she acts so adult).
Mia is powder in her real life too i think
both very good VA.
So Mia Sinclair literally spent half her life working on Arcane. Wow, bravo.
I really like their voices
They actually look like their characters
We ll Show Them, We will Show them All...
Crazy how Jason sounds almost nothing like Silco
The two best characters of the show
I wonder if Mia could do Jinx's voice now
I wonder if she and/or Jason can imitate several different TV and movie characters. I do it a lot.
Jason is just fantastic
I can’t believe silco is also kid flash
I wonder if he can imitate Looney Tunes characters.
