You can also get RainX in a windshield wiper fluid so that anytime you use it you recoat the windows. It works really well.
I found this on Iowa's DMV site: Iowa law requires you to title and register your motor vehicle with the county treasurer’s office in your county, or an Iowa county contiguous (bordering) your county, within 30 days from the date you establish residency. Iowa registration is required, even though your license plates may still be valid in another state.
The following documents are required to be surrendered to the county treasurer's office:
Your current ownership document (certificate of title).
A completed application for an Iowa certificate of title and/or registration. The application must be signed by all owners. If there is a lien against the vehicle, it should be noted on the application.
As of January 1, 2022, a bill of sale is required per Iowa Department of Revenue.
If you move from one county to another, you must report your change of address to the county treasurer in your former county of residence within 10 days after your move so your motor vehicle registration information can be forwarded to the county where you now live.
What you should do is when you are in the state you are moving to. Go in and talk to where you get the car tags and ask them how it works for that state.
Can I make a suggestion that you take your smaller clear bag and put your pens and markers in it and then put it in your bigger clear bag. Organizing into the organizer 🤷🏼♀️🤣 Also I live in Iowa I’m happy to help you with how it works!
Here, the cost of tags depends on the year of the vehicle. And you can pay for one or two years.
Iowa has it where you have 30 days after you fully move to get new tags. It is more expensive the first year than it goes down the next year do to taxes and other things. Depending on year of car depends on cost I have a 2005 and my tags are 25(Lived in Iowa my whole life).My dad has a 2017 and pays 110 for tags.

Now that you named the state you’re moving to I did a little research and you’ll have to transfer your vehicle title within 30 days of establishing residency in Iowa. You’ll pay transfer/registration fees for both your car registration and driver’s license I think. Best of luck on the move
Look at your new states web page for info on your tags and their cost coming from a new state.
Welcome back,❤ hope you guys fill better soon.😊you should be able to use your tags for 30 days after you move then you go to dmv and turn in Mississippi tag and they you buy the new tags for that state and yes the first time getting tags in normally higher depending on that state taxes % I hope that makes better sense 😊

I live in Wisconsin and it’s a flat $85.00 a year or that’s what I’ve always paid. It’s like $95.00 with tax here. But I know a lot of people wait until there tags are about to expire before they move there tags to the state they live in. I’m not sure if that’s something you could do or if you wanted to do. I’m not sure when your tags expire.

Just wait until your Mississippi tag is about to expire and then register your car in Iowa. We did that when we moved to Oklahoma from Missouri. I even got pulled over for speeding and the state trooper didn’t say anything!

Good luck on your move. I'm moving at end of March too, but only about 90 miles. Moving to the lower thumb area in Michigan. That includes getting a different job in another hospital, I'm a nurse. So that will be interesting after working over 20 years in one place. But my son is moving into my current house. So not everything has to be moved at once. Be safe.

Hi Jordan! Hey I was thinking we’re you able to get any of your money back from the bad landlord?
Not yet! I have 5 years to take her to court. I've been displaced/struggling thanks to her so I really haven't had the time, energy, or resources to fight with her right now. I do hope to take her to court and at a minimum get my security deposit back as well as some other fees associated with our abrupt move and the stress/loss of work during it all. At this point though, its on pause while I focus on getting us properly housed. ❤
I have driven to Iowa many times from South carolina, get the new wipers n rain x. The weather can change just like that. I didn't 1 time and hit a small town on the way home at 7pm and all things where closing. The last auto store I stood there n cried, the dude opened the door and said it's all ok what do you need, wipers please he helped me. When Noone eles would.. everyone eles said closed. I was by my self on a 19hr drive. Get the wipers to be safe. I was in storms from sc to Iowa, n Iowa to SC..
