Am full blooded Native American from Arizona and this is amazing to see a culture thousands of miles away from America and seeing how these people eat sheep just like or similar to Native Americans in Arizona. ❤
I am a Hungarian man, and I claim that the way of eating presented in this video is in many ways very similar to the traditional Hungarian feasts, which are still actively practiced in many Hungarian villages. For example, the Hungarian villagers have a dish called "blood sausage", where they mix boiled rice with blood and stuff it into the large intestine... But there is also a way of making so-called "pork cheese", which means that we stuff boiled pork meat and organ meats into a pig's stomach, then this stomach is weighed down for days, and then even smoked... it lasts for a long time without refrigerator and is very tasty! Although I myself have been living in the USA for a decade, I follow the carnivore diet, even its raw version, that is, I eat raw meat and raw offal, but sometimes I directly buy whole pig heads, cook them in whole, and eat them because they are so delicious. Besides, I have a genetic test made, and it turned out that I also have Indian "blood", i.e. genes, although only 0.2% - I don't know where it got into me... But I'm happy about it! My Indian ancestor, from whom I inherited this, may have lived about 250 years ago...
Miss Nergui is a rockstar! Her smile…..such a beautiful soul! How she lives alone, tending all of those goats and sheep is so impressive. I have nothing but respect for her. Utilizing every single organ of that sheep, and cooking them the way that Miss Nergui and her friends did, is absolutely amazing. The way that Sonny and Andrew respected tradition (by assisting), and responded (by eating), every single thing that was handed to them-I just love you guys! It was as if I was right there taste testing with you. I have absolutely LOVED this entire series, and wish it would never end! I do have a question though…… If there’s a medical emergency, where do the folks that live the nomad lifestyle go? Especially, Miss Nergui being all alone out there…….
They die often. All that dairy and meat gives them heart diseases and strokes. Mongolia is #2 in Stroke deaths and #9 in Heart disease deaths in the world.
This is not just a food review channel....This is a cultural documentary that makes me appreciate our planet and I will support this channel till I'm an old woman. 👍👍🥰🥰
Nergui...hasn’t lost an animal. Bloomin brilliant. I was brought up on a Scottish sheep farm. Modern methods, hangars, sheep dogs and we would always find dead sheep on the moor. Sonny couldn’t catch a cold in winter. Let alone a sheep. This lady on a motorbike, cooks amazing food, laughs and the only thing she would change in her life is the weather. Thanks for an amazing series. Eba😘👍👏🙏 I wish countries would plant as many trees as they buy arms. Congrats...most times you get brilliant co-hosts/translators. Eba is one.
love Mongolian and their culture love from Nigeria. and thank you for showing other pple culture, i have learnt a lot about different countries and cultures from your channel. 🙏🏽
I think this is the most touching episode out of your massive video uploads. Miss Nergui is a charming, laid back, simple, but happy woman. Aside from your food trip, it's great to see different culture and showing it to the world. Excellent job, Sonny. :D
love this series. My wife is Mongolian and even she havent eaten or heard some of the food you ate. Amazing work!!! I miss Mongolia. This counrty is so laid back. Its really an amazing country. Lovely people, food and culture. I hope after this covid thing is done, more and more people will visit Mongolia. This is the counrty I will choose to retire in. Very nice clean air and amazing scenery.
When Genghis Khan's father was assassinated and his tribe was breaking apart. It was the Khan's mother who stood in from of a fleeing crowding, holding his family's insignia, commanding the fleeing crowd to be calm and stay together. It was the Khan's mother that nursed him back to health after he was injured, and it was his mother who held enough of his tribe together and to feed and care for the Khan and his brothers during the toughest of the times. If not for the Khan's mother, Temüjin would've died without leaving a trace in history. Mongolian women are not to be trifled with. They are great wives, mothers, and leaders.
Another totally awesome series! I think I love the cultural aspects of these tours as much as the food side of things. It's always better if you get a little bit of context and history to go with the food. In hindsight, I'm very glad your TV show didn't work out, because now we get all this wonderful content, and you get to do what you want and how you want it without a studio and production office stepping on your neck... And we're all richer for it!
I want to thank you and the team soooo much! I love this Mongolia series a lot and learn a lot through their way of living. Thank you sooo much and this made me want to visit this amazing and beautiful country.
Excellent series! Loved this last episode, Nergui's giggles at your shenanigans were gold :) Thanks to you and the Artger team for showing a slice of Mongolia to the rest of us
That is absolutely amazing!! I love this so much. This woman is proof that regardless of any hurdle in life you can still provide for yourself and enjoy life.
I am officially i love with Mongolia and Mongolians. Seriously, i don’t think I’ll ever respect another culture as much as i do these wonderful ppl. I wish that i, as a white person, had more of a connection with my ethnicity/ethnicities...but like most generic white Americans i have no clue who I really am. We are all mutts, if you will...and it really creates a disconnect that we all feel deep within our souls. This is why the new DNA programs are so very popular.... we are the most disconnected from where we started and where we are going. It’s sad and i believe it is the core of what causes so much depression and discord in everyday life. There is nothing wrong with wanting to know who you are, where you came from and what created the people that you hail from. As long as we can do that and respect all other cultures and people.... we should be proud of who we are and where we came from...as well as where we’re continuing to go in the future. And all this without feeling that anyone is superior or inferior....we all just are. ✌🏻 ❤️ 😃
Thank you for visiting my country.🎉 It was pleasure to watch one of your favorite creators visiting and eating your food. It felt like an old friend came by.
What an amazing woman, thank you for interviewing her. Her response to changing anything in her life - that Mongolian herders don't have time to think about those things. I'm going to spend a lot of time thinking about that, I already know.
Just an update, I did actually spend quite a bit of time thinking about woman's perspective and it was very beneficial. Mongolian nomads are dope as hell.
Sonny your channel should have a billion followers. Your channel Teaches so much more besides food. The way you respect, treat and interact with other cultures without prejudice is the most amazing thing a lot of people can get from your channel.
You know what sucks!!... People will just watch this on their TV's and not being signed in to their UA-cam account on the TV which makes it worse, he'll have like 400k Views on his videos but only like 12k Likes or 57k Likes.
So this is why I ALWAYS help him out by making sure I watch the video till it fully ends AND I make sure I always Like the video as well. He definitely deserves it! Always makes us laugh, always in a good mood (somethings that's impossible for us to do!! Lmao) but yeah, the dude definitely fuckin deserves it all!! Great guy! Funny guy! Cool guy! Handsome guy! Guy guy! LOLOLOL!!!! 😂🤣🤣🤣🙃
Just started watching this video now, but I have to say this is by far my favourite food review show, be it on the internet or on TV 😂 Been following for years and I always tell my family about this channel and about how you've traveled to Philippines (where my mom is from) and to Namibia (where I'm from). This is more than just a food review show, it's highly educational and shows people the honest truth about a country's history and what you can expect! Keep up the great work!
Some people might wonder why there is no spice when cooking the meat. I would say, in the gobi, our livestock eats over 300 types of herbs therefore needing no spice, probably except the blood sausage. It is too tasty.
Id imagine its like grass/grain fed and sage fed beef. All my life id only ever eaten grass/grain fed. But then when visiting family in Nevada one year we had beef that was free range and fed on the local sage. Best steaks iv ever had in my life.
it's amazing to see blood sausage has asian roots in the first place. here in Anatolia Turkey blood sausage is forgotten, probably due to dogmatic islamic beliefs wasting so much nutritional blood poured into the sewage system in whole country. there is no blood sausage here in Turkish cuisine and it is a god damn shame, salute!
This is similar to the Navajo tribe food. (my tribe) Blood sausage and sheep head are considered a delicacy. We also make a sausage from the fat and intestines. Great video. Thanks for sharing. Much respect for Mongolians.
It is so relaxing to watch about our culture and traditional food on this episode. Thanks for exhibiting how Mongolian herders work hard. Break a leg guys!
Miss Nergui.. WOW! Any comment I'd make would be lesser than she or comments already posted here. Just this: AMAZING lady!!! Now.. this season with Andrew.. Sonny, it was so important to me this Mongolia tour! I've been thru many personal issues and each episode was the only reason that made me laugh out loud! I'm so like Andrew seems to be... I had so much fun with you guys interacting and was so deeply pleased by these episodes you have no idea how much good you guys did to me! So: THANK YOU ALL! Can't wait the next tour and hate to know you'll skip some days and post all-in-one format for this. I'll wait for the next season and hope Andrew will join you soon again.
The woman does so many jobs, in harsh conditions of nature it's unreal..this life of hard work of self direction/creativity for self sufficiency is seemingly so wild, honorable, yet so tame and satisfying to watch, probably even more to experience. I think if you're going to eat an animal, it's the way they do it .nothing is wasted...using everything as a useful resource..all organically..No 100's of gadgets in the kitchen to cook, just a rich life made from hard work, creativity and simplicity..so rewarding to watch and probably more to experience. Very interesting.
Sunny is one food guy who never disrespect any foody culture. He is best in showing respect, gratitude and humbleness.. We love you sunny❤️ you are the best 😍
the reason why you're show is consistently the best of the current era and one of the best of all time is because you keep showing me new and weird stuff that I've never seen before, and I love watching you eat the weird stuff without (much) hesitation, and you know how to appreciate it even when its a little bit gross!
That women was awesome. Really cool she never lost an animal. Also cool to see them on the motorcycles. Most of the food looked really good. Was fun to watch. Great video
As a vegetarian this mongolia series hasn't had many appetizing dishes, but it has been very fascinating and I can appreciate the way they use every part of the animal. I hope one day I can visit mongolia, always wanted to, who knows, on the steppe with no vegetables, I may just end up trying something like in this video lol.

I heard from some anthrolopologists that native americans and mongolians share similiar DNA
