Hmmmm this goes without saying but I suppose I should say it anyway: If it turns out that your top lip is bigger and your bottom lip is smaller, rotate your mouthpiece so the epoxy is on the lower half meeting your lower lip.

I first started on 5c then went to 7c and now I'm on 3c. And my highest note now is high f and I wanna try to scream double g. But when I try to it always feels like my head about to pop. And idk if I'm not using enough air but I try to play double g and I use air but my head still feels like it's about to pop. And idk what to do

Well Ruby the best thing to do would be take this issue up with your private teacher. There are many reasons for your dilemma. One of them is out of your control and happens to me and everyone else. However, at my level, it doesn't happen very frequently. Your technique may be off. You may not have the chops or strength to contain the air you are trying to push through the horn. Your mouthpiece, 3c, is definitely not one of the best for playing anything above the staff. Your aperture may be too big, but it is possible you don't have the strength to keep it narrow anyway. Maybe you are playing a large (.462 - .470 ) or a medium large (.454 - .460) and that is an inefficient combination with your current 3c mouthpiece. Maybe your set up is not correct. Maybe you are playing center when you should be slightly off to the right or left. You also may be drinking too much alcohol or caffeine or smoking on a regular basis which all conspire to increase pressure in a bad way.
Could be you are not breathing correctly and/or not synchronizing all 3 stages of compression the best way.
Maybe you don't know how to employ tongue arch and are not doing that or maybe you know about it, but are doing it incorrectly.
This is not a 1 day fix as you now have probably guessed and it would be worth your while to work with your private instructor or me if I have any availability.
In the end you invest time, money, and energy regardless of what you do:
Time to practice, money to pay your teacher, energy to keep on truckin'...
      or
Wasted time practicing because you didn't pay money to a teacher which costs you money from not doing something more productive to make money. You gettin' it? You waste your time trying to teach yourself and you get nowhere. If you did that 1 hour a day for 2 years that is about 700 hours wasted. How much would 700 hours pay you at $15 per hour?
      $1000
Either way you must invest your time, energy and money...you can't avoid it.

After becomeing somewhat proficient at playing the trumpet in highschool and lead for several years in college, I had to walk away because of the lack of ability to stay and play in the upper register. I could hit high F's and Double G but with not much power and I just couldn't stay up there long. I think teaching the science of playing higher along with recognizing that not all mouthpieces are created equal has greatly improved the average player's ability to go higher and even play melodies in the upper register. Having retired now, I plan to pick the brass back up again and re-start the journey. Thanks for the inspiration and tip.

@@TRUMPETSIZZLE I almost feel like I need to start over figuring out how to blow the horn. Obviously my technique to obtain higher range wasn't working all those years ago. Some trumpet coaches suggest playing with a relaxed embouchure. I was trained by a college trumpet professor to play with a frown, mouth corners down. Played with a 7c mouthpiece in highschool and struggled even with a high C or D. A fellow player in college suggested a Schilke 13a4a and like magic, my range did improve up to E's and F's, but with diminished volume. Experimenting now with different lip positions and unfurling the lips possibly to achieve more volume in the upper register.

Something else I have noticed is that some players hitting high notes almost look like one of their lips disappears, usually the upper lip, while the other (lower lip) is fully displayed round the edges of the mouthpiece. Not sure what is going on here? It also appears that some successful screamers play off center of their lips, possibly because their lips can vibrate faster to one side or the other, more easily, or maybe there is a tooth issue that improves when they shift and play off center?

amzn.to/2EEHUi0 this is the link for the sander drill I talked about it the video. Yes it's mainly for ladies at the nail salon and has a ladies type color. Don't worry bout that if you're a guy. This is what I used this works.
You should know that if you do get this $10 drill Amazon might send me millions of dollars because I referred you. So if you do buy this drilland you no longer see me on UA-cam it's because I became an instant millionaire and am living and playing my horn on an island somewhere in the South Pacific! 😛

The epoxy will ruin a mouthpiece plus the toxic chemicals in it will go into your mouth when it's used.

What is this obsession with screaming? Who cares. What matters is to be musical and play well.
