That’s a great setup but what I really like is he has his own business manufacturing and selling the equipment that he has an interest in and uses himself. Brilliant, that’s the kind of business that deserves support 👍
Waxed cotton is nice. I’ve got two waxed cotton jackets by Backhouse, from NZ. One is waist length, the other is a full length stockman coat and its great in bad weather as it hangs down to my ankles.
In a lot of ways, the Disco' 3 is my all-time favorite Landie - It looks great, it's new enough to still look "modern", it's long enough to sleep inside easily and the fold-flat seats are ideal for an overland conversion. Just wish JLR had stuck to the solid-axle concept and, basically, built the D3 on a 110 chassis and stuck a TD5 in it. Too many horror stories about the TDV6 engine and too many expensive repairs such as the leccy handbrake and air-suspension, though. A decent lottery win, however, would definitely see a TD5 110 and a D3 in my garage, getting chopped together.
all round great set up. you said you have great LEDs. im the same, i have some bright low power ones for camp but i am just as addicted to the oil lamps :D if you dont have both i recommend getting a storm/hurricane lantern and 4L bottle of paraffin, some times its just nice to have on for ambience and they make good conversation starters :D
@@Bugoutvehiclesuk mine would break if i kept it in the landy lol so many time we have forgot it when camping after wanting to take it. i am all ways worried about breaking uit and its kept in bubble wrap in my camp kitchen laycom box
3 way absorption fridge, good for 25c below ambient, run on a/c at home, 12v travelling, gas on site, half the price of a compressor fridge and no aux batteries, no split charge , and no solar, OK for most of Europe.

I find it odd that you refer to normal camping gear as vintage? I still use my original equipment from the 80’s. It’s not vintage.. it’s camping gear. That is made with more quality than ally of this garbage that’s being made today.
And let’s be real no matter what label I put on that style some one will try and say I’m wrong so I will go with what the owner calls it as it is his job.

Can’t fault him because he uses everything he sells so you know it’s decent

It was nice to see a basic but comfortable set up.
That's a really well thought out car, great for little get aways when it's not worth taking the truck

Discovery 3 at last GREAT VID
If you like that I might have to walk round tinys D3
20 mpg that’s really good try 14,15
Lovely setup . I’m in the process of buying gear for our family trips and debating a 12v fridge or a good quality cool box 🤔any suggestions?? Cheers
50/50. It’s cost v length of trip. I love the fridge but for 2 days I could use a cool box

I'm waiting for the Lamdie tent to be available again, they look like an ideal setup.
I deffo prefer the swag and tarp as it’s stronger but it’s a nice option.
nice vid what rims are those rich on that d3 .... im looking around for some as mines got stupid 20" overfich things on it
