Amazing generosity and caring by Charlie … Wow 🤩… $402,000 more in honor of beloved, beautiful Mama bear 402 … thank you 🙏 so much❣️ Thank you for all the cams❣️
Thanks so much Charlie for your generosity in memory of 402. I have learnt so much as a first timer to the cams this year and I have become more aware of my footprint on the world and have changed my behaviour. It’s so therapeutic to watch the bears and see nature at its most raw and beautiful. Thanks to Explore, Mike and Naomi. Really making a different to our appreciation of the natural world.
Thank you to explore for including the fan names of the bears in the FBW bracket. Unnamed bears don't seem to get very far (except 901) in the voting. I understand the reason the park doesn't name them anymore, but I wish they did. It really doesn't keep us from having emotional connections to them, (I still cried for two days when we lost 402), it just makes it harder to remember their identifier.
I missed the live chat but I wanted to make a comment about Charlie's donation on behalf of bear 402. One of the reasons that I donated is because of the incredibly pure sincerity I perceive in Mike, Naomi, Sarah & Charlie. There is no doubt in my heart that these people love the bears I have come so to admire so much. I love the Bear cams but to know that the people surrounding the Explore & Katmai conservancy feel the same way i do Is what makes me feel this is truly family & a beautiful investment of my hard earned dollars.
I enjoyed the live stream thanks Mike and Charlie for explaining more about the bears and it was great seeing Charlie on the live stream it was great to have him in it 👍
This season was so rich in memories both beautiful and heartbreaking. I have been watching the bears for about 5 years now and every year i learn so much. Thank you to all the Rangers, Mike, Naomi, Sarah and Explore for this amazing experience. Here's to next year with more salmon, more bears, more cameras!✨💗🐻
Thank you Charlie, for mentioning Jane Goodall! Where would research be without her? She clearly showed you can be a scientist and invested in the individual animal as well!
Thank you Charlie! If you do discover that bear hideout, please don’t divulge the location. 🙏🏽 Let’s let our beloved bears and other wildlife have their sacred space. 👑480_4EVA🐻
128 was my gateway bear! Ive seen all.the great bears, from 747/ 151/ 128/ ofc 402/ .164/ 910s/ 909s etc I didnt get to see him at the time of, butttt!! My favorite bear was 🐻 68! Thanx for these vids ,along with yt ers, who post awareness , of these majestic 🐻!!
Speaking of polar bears, is there a time when we are likely to see more of them? I love the polar bears but it does require more patience than the Brooks cams.
Around the first two weeks of November is the best time to see multiple polar bears congregate. This is when the “first” heavy snows come through the Canadian Tundra and the harbors start to freeze up.

I'd love to have Margot Creek cams! I think a lot of the moms and babies go there on walkabout. ❤️
Thank you both for this.
I volunteer as tribute to go with Charlie and look for Otis, Holly, Divot, Amelia, Popeye and Pepper!
I as well! We must find them!💗🐻☝🏼
I would rather have a documentary cams open the door for more human interaction

Please - one or two cameras further up the river. The place where it was suspected that 128 went ‘walkabout’.

I took this pic of 402 and cub last fall and made it my profile pic, not knowing at the time that it's 402. How wonderful to have this pic ❤️

RIP 402 BROOKE and SMALLS💔💔 My gateway bears were Otis and Grazer ❤❤
It seems late in the season to search for Otis but it will be a great idea
We follow the bears in my classroom. The students love Katmai and the bears. They love Otis by the old videos I showed them. 🤎🐻🤎
