Today I finally came and sat on a rebel 500 the 1100 n the phantom shadow along with the vulcan s and the eliminator in pearl white. N let me tell you at 5'2 I fell in love with both the eliminator n vulcan. I'm getting the eliminator se after I take my class n get my license. I can't wait.
I bought one exactly like that a couple of weeks ago. I'm still breaking it in, so I can't open it up all the way, but so far I absolutely love it. All my other bikes are Harleys, which suck for commuting. I bought this for commuting and it's perfect. Really, I just love it.
Kawasaki didn't "bore it out". The increase in displacement is due to a change in crank to increase the stroke of the piston. This helps increase the torque of the engine. Very nice review.
I rode the 440 Ltd back in the 80s, rode it more bc of the pulled back handlebars. Out of 40yrs riding & 30 street, trail, dual & even maxi scooters the 440 parallel twin is still an all time favorite. Maybe handlebar risers would help this bike bc I don't ride hard on the street anymore.
The engine is actually stroked. I have the 400cc version, identical in all other ways. It's a good handler, it's fun, nice and punchy starting at 7000rpm, it turns into a ripper at 7500rpm and very well planted suspension but the rear will bounce. Very smooth engine. The induction sound and exhaust is shockingly good, way better then my z400. Not great in traffic, or low speeds with passenger.
So I heard you correctly that it has 6 gears? That’s good. And 50 ish horsepower is pretty nice for a “beginner” bike. Not super in love with the looks of it though but most bikes grow on me with time
450 is a good cc for the insurance company. They figure you won't be doing 150mph running from Police so insurance will be easy on you. Get full coverage.
Check your specs, this is NOT a bored 400; it has a 6.8 mm longer stroke for the increase to 451cc. Kawasaki has announced 51 hp (52ps) and 31 lbs-ft torque (42 Nm) in Japan released documents.
You can buy a good used Harley 883 for $6649. Add another $1000 for dealer crap. Probably good bike, but it doesn't weigh enough for good highway stability, in my opinion, from looking at stats on it.
I've been riding motorcycles since 1964 and the only time I wear gloves is when it is below 60 degrees. In the summer time you'll find me wearing a "T" shirt and jeans. I've went well over 300,000 miles like this and only had one accident which broke my left leg. So the leather jacket and gloves would not have helped me anyway.
How about talking about how the bike handles, stops and goes! All you did was talk about the specs and who it may be built for. Is it fun? I guess not, if all you did was ramble about specs that anyone can get with a click of a button.
I am 6 foot tall and weigh 290. Bought one of these and haveput 550 miles on it. In my opinion it handles well. I amvery satisfied with it. I ride backroads andcity streets. Sometimes I hop on interstate for a few miles and I think itdoesokay. Only ran it up to 80mph once and it was fine. Really surprised at how good the motor is. Been getting 54.5 miles per gallon.
Sorry for me folks its a Rebel all day long. The only thing i don't like about the rebel is that a rear seat is an optional extra. I just think the rebel looks better. The eliminator is a good bike. I would choose it over the rebel if it only came in 300cc.

I get that this video is supposed to imply that the kawasaki is a threat to Honda Rebel, but just the fact that majority of viewers clicked on this because of the thumbnail says Honda Rebel proves, that this won't really mess up the Honda Rebel recognition, nor replace it.
There's no proof to your claim that most viewers clicked on this video because of the thumbnail saying Honda Rebel. So it's not a fact, it's a hypothesis.
I can’t believe he’s riding this bike with no gloves, if you come off you put your hands out to try and save yourself, and finally can he not talk without constantly waving his hands all the time, very off putting.
I just got my eliminator SE two days ago. I have not rode in 23 years. I love the bike. I’m definitely rusty.

I bought an Eliminator SE and LOVE it.

What kind of MPG you getting?
@@veryberry- Now that it's broken in, the guage tells me I'm averaging 57.1 mpg.
I sold the last Harley I will ever own and bought an Eliminator SE and LOVE it.

If you're gonna be technical get it right, it's a increase in stroke and there's increase in HP as well as torque.
Well done ..that bike looks nice for a older rider like me it does.

An extra inch is all you need 😏.
Your V/O is unbelievably clear while you're riding. There is almost no wind coming into that helmet.
It's a fly revolt helmet. They're VERY quiet

At minute 3.00. Not bored out. Piston travel was increased to give it 451cc and more torque.
It's called stroke.
Loved the bike but still got the rebel 500 in green and black it just felt so easy and perfect for me. But the eliminator is beautiful
i learned how to ride in florida. no one uses much gear, it's too hot all the time. a helmet and real shoes is the most people hope you do.
So I heard you correctly that it has 6 gears? That’s good. And 50 ish horsepower is pretty nice for a “beginner” bike. Not super in love with the looks of it though but most bikes grow on me with time
Yeah I think we're hearing 51 hp and it is a 6 speed!
It looks miles better than the Rebel 500. Kawasaki should also put this engine in a scrambler.

Thank you.
pretty sure it will be 47hp in Europe.. to comply with the A2 licence (max 35 kW).

Interesting video. Thanks for sharing 👍🏼👍🏼🇧🇷
they should put this engine on a versys 400x
I'd say that's coming. Wouldn't shock me if all the other bikes with that platform get the bigger engine
Great video! Does it have quickshifter?
it does not feature a quick shift unfortunately. Thanks for watching!

Would love to see how (if) this fits taller riders, or those with longer legs. The Rebel 500/1100 are kind of disappointing in that regard.
Definitely still not a great option for a tall person, mid controls. I'd say an Indian scout, Honda Fury, or Vulcan 900 if you want more leg room
@@evelkestriegel Just looking for a unicorn - that smaller-displacement highway-capable good-mpg's twin with room for long legs.
I am 6ft the Rebel is comfortable to me. Looks a little like a Rebel. Nice looking bike.
How do I remove the passenger seat?
Its a great beginner bike but I thinks its priced too high for what you get!
please release in india
Sounds quiet looks smooth
where are you located....what town
Louisville Kentucky area
This is good, new models means people will be selling their older bikes cheaper.
Only makes 45.5 hrsprrs in europe
So basically you’re saying the Rebel is better and to buy that instead.
The only thing in the way of looks which I don’t like is the exhaust other than that tidy
Yes, I think the exhaust is a weak point. A slip on system will improve the looks substantially.
Thinking Honda 1100. Rebel is the best bike for beginners.
1100 is not the best choice for a beginner
@@lusjsjmsmsksm7347 why not?

The frame looks like the crash bars that you see on bikes in India. The bike looks like crap.

This is way better looking than the fat tire Rebel .
