I bought one in august 2024. Now already 6000 km's. Very good bike for everyday commuting in heavy traffic. An I already owned a lot of bikes. Sometimes more than twice thet Cubic inches. But this one is very much fun. Greetings from Belgium!
Nice review. Always appreciated when a "regular" owner gives his honest thoughts.
💯 agreed! Was already thinking of picking one up for my starter bike, but I think now I'm fairly sold on it! Thanks Jack! 🤘
Great comments and overview; couldn't agree more. I just purchased a new 2024 Eliminator ABS in the Pearl White scheme. I also have a Honda Grom; the Eliminator is my first "large" motorcycle and at 70 years old, this is a perfect size for fun and pleasure riding. I'm still getting acquainted with it, but it is so comfortable, easy to ride and not difficult to control during slow maneuvering or cruising at highway speeds. Ride safe!
LOL yes! The Kawasaki Rideology app needs additional development but with some updates it may become a pretty cool way to log/map rides and see basic system information.
3:21 - "It's a V-twin..." It's a parallel-twin, which becomes very apparent when revved. But good review.
@@kenhoward3512 yes I misspoke as I’ve addressed in other comments. It was my first time doing a review so mistakes can be expected. I appreciate the watch! I knew it was a parallel twin my mind was just racing trying to remember my “script” I had
My largest complaint with this bike is the mirrors. Being 5'11" I find that the stock mirrors are useless and I have to lean to one side or the other to see what's going on behind me. That being said, I agree, this a great starter bike.
Yeah I am constantly adjusting my mirrors as well
Hugely helpful. Looking into getting this as my first bike. In chi so I'm getting my learners and taking my MFS course first thing in march.
@@aaroncathey6706 glad it helped!
Good luck bro. I'm looking to get it next year.
If you choose the Eliminator I doubt you will have buyers remorse. Got mine a week ago and just turned 150 miles; riding several days in the freezing weather this week. I look forward to a ride every day.....Spring can't get here soon enough.
lovely look and feel for a 1 person bike !
Bro this is a nice video man… I’m definitely trading my Honda Monkey for one of these!! And you can wheelie this too? Man I’m sold! Kawasaki dealer here I come! 🤟😬
Thank you man I tried really hard on this video so that means a lot
@@jackflashautorepair it’s 4:30am here and I’m already ready to go trade my bike in! Hahaha seriously this video pushed me over the edge to pull the trigger! Thanks again and pls make more videos on the Eliminator. Have a great day bro! 🤟😬
@@cmgzfiveonezero no problem man, I hope you enjoy it! Check out my tiktok for even more clips of it. Jackflashmotomayhem
@@jackflashautorepair hell yeah! Ride safe homie! 🤟😬
Not a v twin a parallel twin , what slip on did you get I’m looking to get rid of the stock thank you cool info😊
@@danieldavis3271 you’re correct, I misspoke. It is a parallel twin. It’s a Honda rebel 500 slip on off Amazon also
@@jackflashautorepair thanks
@@jackflashautorepair so I’m having trouble finding anything aftermarket slip on’s made for the Eliminator so the rebel 500 fits ? Is all Japanese stock exhaust the same ? This might be a dumb question I apologize
@@danieldavis3271 not a dumb question! They’re not all the same, but a lot of manufactures use the same size pipe. So the mounting location may need a little modification but the pipe will often fit. But to answer no, not all Japanese bike exhaust fits each other. They are often similar enough to make it work
@@jackflashautorepair thanks man. This particular bike doesn’t seem to have a lot of aftermarket options hopefully in the future it will , thank you for the info safe riding to you sir
Very impressive
Great video, thanks for sharing your thoughts on the Eliminator. How do you find the bike in terms of vibrations? I have the Z500 and the vibes come through the chassis quite a bit and make the mirrors almost unusable on the highway (although that is often par for the course with the smaller Kawasaki bikes). I am curious how that compares to the Eliminator.
@@jt693 I’ve never felt a problem with vibration but I’m also comin off a supermoto so any improvement was good for me
If you are scrapeing on this then you are riding really fast in some very sharp curves. I have 1300 miles on mine and haven’t scraped yet. About two hours and my butt is pretty sore. Wish it had a little better suspension. Iride easy and get fifty four miles per gallon. It holds 3.7 gallons of gas.
@@tiffinhappy9744 sounds like you’re having a different experience than me
@@tiffinhappy9744 and I’ve scraped going as slow as 15mph. Just have to know how to ride if you wanna get that low
I know. I am 72 years old and I just enjoy riding a lot easier now than I did when I was younger. Probably one reason I have made it this long. Be careful
Would this motorcycle be suitable for travelling 400 miles in a day, down the highway?
@@7come11two you’d be refilling 2-3 times for 400 miles, but comfort/ride wise it will do 400 miles all day if the rider is willing! 👍🏽
Well done jack .but its no v twin
The Eliminator is not a V twin (3:22) it is a parallel twin.
I don't understand how you can stand that loud exhaust..do you outrun the noise so that it is behind you and not so annoying? I have a 2023 z400 and bought a slip on for it that is still in the mail..I'm hoping I didn't waste my money.
Well through the helmet and wind noise no I don’t find myself annoyed by it
@@jackflashautorepair thanks for the prompt reply..well I guess I'll go ahead and install the slip on and find out for myself. I bought it to save weight, the stock can on the z400 weighs over 13 pounds.
What slip on? Can we get a link 🫡
How is it doing above 100 and 120 KMPH ?? Observed any vibrations ??
@@RK-X there’s no steering stabilizer so above 100mph (160kmh) it does shake a little but it is manageable
The Kawasaki 400cc engine platform is renowned for punching above its weight class. For instance, the Ninja/Z 400/500 are significantly quicker than their competitor counterparts. Do you think that advantage also applies to the Eliminator? If so, in what way?
@@robertocojones4471 I’d say that it definitely punches above its class. Having a 450 anything above 110mph on a bone stock bike is impressive in my opinion. I’ve almost gotten this one to 120.
If you consider how far bikes have came, it really shows how powerful this incredibly small engine is for its size. When the eliminator originally came out in 1985 it was a 900cc and it had a top speed of 134mph. Now in 2024 the engine is half the size and is only 20mph slower. Pretty decent
great video mate, i am between elim 500 se and rebel 500 se and i cannot decide, great dilema! any recomandations ? :P
@@equalfps I’ll go kawi every time, they’ve never let me down. I ride this thing real hard and it takes every last bit. 👍🏽
The eliminator is way more comfortable than the rebel. Seat on the rebel is uncomfortable after awhile
@@suesue5694 just arrived home from the bike house, I tried both and eliminator is my choice, already purchased!! Thanx for the reply!!
Honda is more reliable and is a true staple since they’ve been making them for a while. Kawasaki has more bells and whistles and is more comfortable, but with it being a newer bike, maintenance might be a little more expensive than your traditional Honda. You can’t really go wrong with either.
@@1MPUL5IVE Kawasaki small engines last just as long as Honda engines.
Abs stops your wheels from not spinning. TC stops your tires from spinning.
@@drewt.4353 your wheels and tires shouldn’t be spinning separately from each other. ABS=stops brakes locking/sliding. Traction control stops burnouts. ABS controls braking and traction control acceleration
