Saka has got nothing to prove came to the party at the last World Cup, Foden has alot to prove we want to see his city form for england.
When discussing England's best Euros the tornament 1996 should have been mentioned when they reached the semifinals and lost to Germany on penalties.
Fair point, this was a good run too!
Trent inverting from right back allowing Walker Stones Gomez to become a back 3 Bellingham would start next to Rice in the double pivot but become a box to box 8 Saka Palmer Foden behind Kane 4-2-3-1 becoming 3-2-5 depending on ball possession

You forgot about Euro 96 when we beat Holland and Spain en route to a semi final against Germany.
*beat Holland and robbed Spain
We just lost to Iceland 0.1. 🇮🇸 They only have 12 part-time football teams. England have 72 professional clubs, not to mention semi professional. Average England players are on about 100k a week and could not kick a bag of wind into a giant drag fishing net with a few part-timers in the way.
I can’t believe you mentioned the 2 quarter finals whilst completely ignoring 1996!
Don’t worry we have not forgotten! Another agonising loss on penalties 😫.
To be fair UEFA officials did all they could (almost 'duty-like') by not penalising Italy during the match in the last final for at least 5 MAJOR offenses that I can remember of, including a sending off that never occurred for Italy (fouling the last player between defender & goalkeeper!) and a penalty that wasn't given to England (foul on Sterling)... we should have been 2-0 up and playing against 10 men AT WORST by the time they 'scored'! Say what you like but Italy have cheated through most of their empty 'victories'. I'd rather we lose than have to cheat to win. I'm not a bad loser... SALTY maybe (but who wouldn't be) but not a bad loser.
Sorry, you are a sore loser, regardless of the refereeing we were dominated for at least 60 minutes of that game, we were luck to get to extra time, never mind penalties
This is our year we have all the talent in the world we have been starved of glory come on ENGLAND 🏴
🏆
We will lose on penalties or have a goal disallowed, unfair red card, referee decision going against us
pardon for the cynicism , I've followed England at every tournament since 1996.
We have a strong team.
Winning is not guaranteed.
The real issue is Southgate - yes England have had some decent finishes in tournaments with him over the years, but who's to say that they may have have won some of those tournaments if Southgate wasn't the manager.
This really is a special team with some very special and greatly talented players within it, such as Kane, Bellingham, Saka, Foden, Rice, Stones, Palmer, Grealish, Alexander-Arnold, Walker etc etc....
But with Southgate as manager employing a slow, low attacking (at times) style of football in contrast to other countries high attacking, fast paced style, it is clear that without a new manager - England could really struggle to win anything.
Not to say that it is impossible though, but with a NEW manager - England could really do some proper damage with that attack.
The golden generation won nothing. Now England have lost Ben white, the best right back, Maddison, arguably their most creative midfielder, stuck with shaw and McGuire…who aren’t great…and have a manager who doesn’t adapt his game to what is happening on the field. Good luck…
We never learn. We are not winning the Euros. 2 finals both on home soil. Suspect defence.
Check out our brand new video on England’s defence for the Euros!
Home advantage hasn't counted for anything since 1998.
@@businesssecretsofthepharao8901 we are talking about England here, who havent been to a final on foreign soil. Im backing Portugal or Germany, France will be there. We'll huff n puff but probably wont blow any doors down
@@LegPuppy No argument from me, it will be tough.
We know Foden is better as a no 10 or RW but those positions are taken I think a way to get the best out of him is 4-3-3 (or 4-2-3-1) but in possession 3-2-4-1 . Having the right back tuck into to be the 3rd CB, the left back attack up the flank becoming a LW in attack allowing Foden to tuck in becoming LAM next to Bellingham at RAM.
The only problem is who would be LB, as Chilwell has been bad this season and shaw is injured.
This could work Opposite to mine Trippier or Rico Lewis getting forward from left back Walker or Konsa sitting in as a centre back on the right
@@wall-lion94 I agree here too, Trippier starts at LB for me, with either Walker or Trips, going forward at any one time. Let us not forget we have one of the best holding midfielders in the world in Declan Rice, so a strong back 3 plus Rice's powerhouse engine and super-human recovery, we should have a pretty solid defence, without doubt, our most worrying positions in the team, being without a natural LB and missing a second world class CB, but Maguire hasn't let England down yet, so I would be pretty confident we would perform well with this team, especially against France, with Kyle Walker able pocket Mbappe... hopefully
Foden is crap on the right, for England. LW, or no.10, only
@@MultiBurger1 I think it may have been a typo, I mis-read it and assumed he had Foden as LW
Don't forget the under 21 Euros Final success, and the England women's team also winning the last Euros.

Thanks for the visit! Keep the faith 😃
Doubtful. Kane might be out due to injury already, same with Shaw, and White refuses to play for England.
Theres some heavy blows to the team right off the bat.
And be carful calling so kany players 'world class'. I have yet to see Watkins prove himself in competition and toney havent even had the chance yet.
Shaw is definitely out, so the choice of left footed left back is slim pickings. Luke Shaw is the best by a long shot in my opinion. Kane is now in doubt, and Watkins will not do anything significant on the international stage he ain’t that guy.
I don’t expect England to win
@@JamesCM86 i wouldn't call it just yet, but if they are out England's odds look slimmer. I can only.think of putting Palmer in at number 9 since he's the closest we have to a kane replacement.
Unless Southgate bites the bullet and calls up greenwood. He was meant to be the one to take over...untill...'it' happened.
The loss of kane might well be fatal though.
I think Toney/Watkins are slightly underrated in this. England would still be top 3/4 favourites with no Kane?
@@TheFootball-Library I dunno, depends on the other favourites, but without kane England has no out and out finisher at that level, it's scary how much we rely on kane.
Toney hasn't proved himself at the top level and Watkins is simply not at that level. Don't get me wrong, he is good at what he does, but he will be going up against real giants and he's just not there.
You'd have better luck shoving Palmer into kanes role as his finishing from range is far better. Watkins tends to be on point with his positioning but isn't as good from range.
Kane can do both. That what makes him so good.
I will say that England's chances have taken a very heavy blow without kane up front and Shaw at the back only made worse by White's refusal to play for England.
Like I said earlier, the only other player in England's corner with the potential to be the next Kane is Greenwood. And he isn't going to get picked for obvious reasons.
@@Whoami691Kane remains England's most important player but there is no serious injury concern
Never get your hopes up lads. Never.

"For the bringing Euro HOME for the FIRST time ever..." This sentence best depicts all the nonsense and hillariously foolish "It’s coming home" chant. Yes England have maybe the best squad at least in recent memory but i can already see tabloid covers after Euro: "Sheeps not Lions".."Who is to blame?".."So close yet so far"..
I think we are in with a real chance of winning it, this is gotta be the best squad in years
Great team but most disrespectful fans of all teams
How do you come up with that presumption?
They should ban penalty shoot outs in football as they discriminate against English people. Affirmative action y’all.
😂😂😂
knockout games would go on for days lol
These days players care only for their club salaries. They don't care anymore for the national team. Italy or Croatia will be in the final of Euro 2024 in my opinion.😊
I would consider Portugal as the favourites, with Austria and Hungary as dark horses.
Of course England have a good chance as well, but there's always an element of luck, and poor refereeing decisions to take into account.
Good squad on paper but very rarely do they win games comfortably and never win games against the top teams. Irregardless of how many good players they never play convincingly. Even getting to semis and finals the performances were lack lustre.
We would of won last euros if ref was any good and Italy were disgusting in that game should of had at least 1 player sent off if not 2
That Chiellini shirt pull 😬
Carry on crying .
We were terrible after Luke Shaw's goal in the opening 2 minutes, we were lucky to get to penalties. We were totally dominated, more so in the second half. I however did win that day, I had a 5 quid bet on Shaw to score the first goal for England, I only placed the bet as it was the last fiver I had on my account and he had the longest odds, something like 33/1
How can you complain about the ref wen England got gifted a penalty against Denmark to get into the final 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
When italy win its always the same shit that comes out of English mouths, they are dirty , they were lucky , the ref was crap.when are you English going to look in the mirror a come to terms that you are an ordinary footballing nation. Denmark and Greece have won the same as you ( with respect to these two nations )
It's now or never!!!
We got the players we all know that but not the manager
My money is on Spain and yes I have put a bet on
