It is a wonderful cutter for those with bad arthritis. It saddens me to see beautiful artists (in all media) unable to do anything because of the pain, my mother is such a person.
This tool is excellant for those who have time and patience.
Thank you for helping those who can't!!!❤🌈⭐️

It was very good to see how an inexperienced artist trying to use it for the first time. Even though I don’t have any problems, I am rubbish at cutting shapes with a pencil cutter, so this will help. Thanks for the video.

I had similar issues with learning that a certain amount of pressure was needed, especially as it seems to be marketed as "perfectly weighted". There is a real lack of instructions or videos on line, so I'm glad they attempted this and showed what a beginner would go through. I think like anything else it takes time to become proficient with the different feel of a big handle. I had trouble controlling it on intricate cutting, so would switch back to my regular cutter and then my pressure would be really messed up trying to go from one to the other! I would say, choose projects with simple cuts to become proficient (which I haven't done yet!)

I have arthritis. In my experience you need not apply pressure, just guide. She’s pushing down….. it was hard to watch. I watched a video a long time ago that changed the game for me when cutting glass. Take a match box car and roll it across a piece of glass…. that’s all the “pressure” one needs. Sometimes I can’t even see my score line, I have to put it under desk lamp, but low and behold, it’s there, and it breaks perfectly. One does not need to “hear the score” to get a proper score line.
It was very difficult to watch her use the cutters mate. I hope she has gotten better with practice.

I have the large version of this. I struggle with straight lines and this has helped me so much with that. I still use my pistol grip for all other cuts. Just finding out what works.

I avoid pistol grip cutters because they hurt my wrist, but that's just me!

Volume was low, but understandable that it was on the fly vid… good explanation at end @ “ do you really need it”?

I do stained glass as a hobby and sell products at shows in NE Kansas and NW Arkansas. I am often asked where one can take classes. I like your videos and would like to refer them directly to you. Do you have a physical shop where one could buy glass and other supplies? I took all my lessons from Rayer Beardens Stained Glass in Wichita KS so do refer those close enough to check them out.

We have a home studio where we teach classes and provide supplies. Our website is www.gsg-art.com

I'm sorry, but I found this video painful to watch. It seemed that nobody bothered to read the instructions before starting. Or maybe there weren't any? It might have been better if someone who was already used to how a score should feel/sound would made a better presenter. It was like watching the blind leading lame.
I've been watching your videos for the past year as I reacquaint my self with this craft. I've watched your entire catalog and enjoyed them very much, coming back to one's I've found helpful over time. This is the first one that has made me cringe. Feel free to delete this comment if you find it inappropriate.

The instructions that come with it aren't great and these guys were just beginning, You saw her open the box. I liked it because it showed how you might go through a learning curve with the product.
