For those who have asked for updates YES we did get married, and I adopted the star of the song, my little girl Alexis. We've also added a few other additions to our family: another baby girl named Sawyer, and a puppy named Gryffindor!

I am a professional musician and spotted my future wife while on stage. She had 2 little girls. We married after 3 weeks of seeing each other and I adopted my daughters a month after getting married. That was 50 years ago. Crazy, but still happily married, still performing, and with 6 grandkids and two great grandkids. Sometimes you just know it’s right. Nice video and be happy.

oh absolutely! We have been fortunate enough to have blended our family. My daughters father and his finance are now some of our best friends and live right next door to us. You do what works for your kids to make them happy!

@@crystalnavarro8006 I guess should've made clear that I was single for many years. Trust me, it took me over 18 years to find the right one. Be patient and picky. It's ok to be picky cuz you're a single mom.
@@kerrycissne6080 oh I understand. I've been single for years because I am being super picky. After being treated like crap for so long I refuse to settle and let my kids go through what my mom put us through growing up
@@crystalnavarro8006 good for you. You've learned a lot faster than me. Kids are resilient and they will bounce back. I have 2 adult sons who went through complete hell because of my choices and I've always been open and honest with them. I also tried to use those experiences as a learning tool. My oldest who is 30 and just got engaged to a wonderful person, and my youngest who is 21 and in the Air Force. They both took opposite baths and my oldest struggled the most, but he came out of it stronger I think. My youngest took notes from both of our mistakes and has chosen a better path for himself. I also tried to explain to ALL my kids (I have 3 step kids) that no relationship is a waste of time as long as you come out of it learning something about yourself. My last marriage was with my youngest father who was a crack addict and I was with him for 7 years. I definitely came out of that stronger and more empowered. So don't be hard on yourself and be careful where you meet people. I was lucky. My current husband I met on a dating site over 14 years ago, before it was well known. I didn't marry him till 2018 lol. Sorry this is so long. Take care and stay safe

As a guy who met my wife 4 1/2 years ago, her having 3 children already and me being a young wild teenage guy. I stepped in and stepped up,she had two boys and one girl. We now have 4 children one together and the 3 she already had. Blood couldnt make them anymore mine. Im proud of the maan theyve made me and proud of them as they. Continue to grow! This song really hit home for me

That was so special! Reminded me of when my husband and I got married! That was the first true time my boys knew how it was to have a mom and dad that loved them no matter what!! (Their dad was around just not a great man or person!). All their friends thought he was their dad! When he passed they were more upset than when their dad passed a few years later! Being raised by a Navy Vet that met my mom when I was four. I Love this song. He was Dad from Day one but Six Years later he decided to make it Official when he wanted to adopt me and my brother. He did and I changed my name to his as did my Mom. We had a great many adventures then as we traveled the world with Him. He apologized to me one day when I was in my 40's for the way he raised us and I said Why I had an awesome Childhood... Living in Puerto Rico, Maryland, Maine, Scotland , and finally Germany. Where I left home and went out on my own. I am a good man because of the Values he gave me, I served in the Navy for 10 years because of him.... It reminds me of the video He didn't have to be by Brad Paisley. Dude you need to pursue a carreer in this !
