I don't think the romantic type of love is special, and I think that the romantic type of love isn't real. I mean about more than half of romantic couples either break up with each other or divorce each other. I think humans should just ditch concepts like dating, marriage, and pair bonding. I feel like this world would be a much better place without romance than it is with it.
In my opinion, romantic love should not be on the highest pedestal. In my opinion, parents and siblings' family love is the strongest. Family knows who you are. Romance is fake for lots of people, put on a false persona and romance on most parts gets ugly real fast. For the reality of romance is no Disney love story.
Parents and siblings' family love is one of the strongest types of love there is. If romantic love is actually real, it would be one of the weakest types of love there is.

You know, you're maybe right in that romantic love should not be on the highest pedestal. It is definitely in part culturally conditioned behaviour to glorify romantic love like this. But, and I cannot stress this enough, you can't get to claim that romantic love isn't real and that the world would be a better place without romance just because of your own experiences. Maybe you just haven't found the right one, had bad experiences, or maybe you are aromantic (i.e. cannot feel romantic feelings). And those are all okay reasons to, at this moment, not believe in love for yourself, even though in the first two cases I'd hope you got to change your mind at some point. But they don't invalidate the experiences of people who have never felt anything greater than romantic love, just like their experiences don't invalidate your feelings.

@@acupofcoffee.please Romantic relationships are not a beautiful thing. Romance causes a lot of problems in this world. Life is a lot better without romance than it is with it. Romantic love is not special at all, and I think that the romantic type of love isn't real. More than half of romantic couples either break up with each other or divorce each other. Romantic relationships are objectively very prone to failure. And most couples who are still together are usually not happy being together.
Also, there are a lot of toxic romantic relationships. Like an example is that abuse happens a lot in romantic relationships.

Romantic love should not be within 30m of a ball cap, and not within 60 if it's backwards. Ruined the entire spirit for me. Are you 11? Really?
