The toebox is still narrow. It pushes my big toe more inward and cause pain in the metatarsal. I don't have a bunion like most Nike wearers have so it hurts a bit. Wishes Nike straightens out the toebox a bit rather than curving it inward.
What is the difference between the sockliners (traditional, stable, cushioned), if you are customizing? If you wear a W9, should you get the actual size or go up one size? Will be wearing them for several different types training. Have low arch.
Funny.... almost all the aspects of the new 6 that you said everyone complains about are the things I like (ie the Zig-Zag). Mind you, I've always like the Metcons. The shoes I despise are the Nanos.... just... blech. I switched to NoBull many years ago as the Metcon soles only lasted a year or so. So, I'm reluctant to spend the money as I still have and wear, almost daily, that old pair of NoBulls. In any case, as always, great reviews. Thanks.

I mean Romoleos are the best for power lifts and Olympic lifts. These are all around good gym shoes that prevent you from having to change out shoes at the gym. And why would you not use the lift insert when doing Olympic lifts? The whole concept with Olympic lifts is to have a raised heel.
Reebok Powerlite mids are my goto, but the new SABO deadlift Pro's are my second pick. Past that I'm okay with powerlifting in my strike mvmnt chill pill afs

I broke my foot wearing the 5s doing dumbell steps over the box. The shoe have just to much flexibility and allow your foot to move around to the point its inestable and dangerous. Since then, I wear nano x and I feel more safe. I don't blame the shoe for my injury since I will probably was just exhausted and lose attention over how I execute the movement, but the metcons definitely play a part in it.
Metcon 5 React were the favorite until now, are the Metcon 6 better? In other words which one to go, Metcon 5 React or Metcon 6? Coz cannot buy the react midsole separately...

Having two sizes at the moment. The smaller ones fit very snuggly but with some workouts causing some pain on my big toe. Hope they break in after a couple more workouts. Used them for 3 workouts now
On Nike.com they boast “18% more breathable” than the Metcon 5. I’m sorry but that ain’t enough to get me to cough up $130 to “upgrade” to the newer model. They just didn’t change a lot from the Metcon 5.
@@ibby81ae What are you trying to achieve by using them? They're a training shoe designed around CrossFit - they're going to be good for powerlifting, oly, plyometrics, gymnastics. For most people, theyre going to be overkill. If you want to powerlift, there are better shoes for just SBD, but those are usually flat It sounds like you have mobility problems so something like this is going to be the next best thing unless you wanted to go cheap on some flats for deadlifts and then drop more on some lifters.
@@ibby81ae the heel is already 4mm above the toe, which makes it 12mm with the insert. If you need more mobility, get dedicated lifting shoes which are 20mm.

So I am looking into getting a training shoe for the daily workout weight lifting running etc. Been stuck between these are the reacts what do you recommend?
Running in Metcons sucks. For jumps and weightlifting only. I used them on the stairmill once and it hurt. I have a separate pair of running shoes for those days.
@@dblyolk3535 not in all shoes from the brand. For ex, in my pegasus 360 I wear 11us. But in the Metcon 6, y try in 11us and it's stretch in my big toe. Have to go for 11.5us....a little space in all the shoes, hope work the same way.

I lift heavy with my Metcons. Deadlifts and squats, no problem. They grip very good on horse stall mats.

I just walk in these all day. Very comfortable shoe I have a separate pair for workouts. I’m satisfied!!!

You wanna upgrade, you can notice the 18% breathability as soon as you try them on.
Kip Granger I truthfully never had that issue with the Metcon 5’s so I’m good.

Yeah it should, but the women’s model should have been less dense than the men’s, but it was the other way around.

If you needed heel lift you could just put the inserts in which makes it about half an inch of lift

I think the metcon 6 is not fit for running because of its flat bottom. Running in this shoes maybe bad for your knees.

Depends on how much running youre doing, I would probably go for reacts if you're running 3-5 miles.
