Interesting! I hadn’t seen this one before. I’ll be curious to see some in-hand reviews of it, as the shots on their website seem to be different parts photoshopped together. But generally Mezco does good stuff so it will probably turn out well. Thanks for the tip!
For nearly a decade, I've been wanting an Indiana Jones SHF or Mafex figure since starting my collection. I was happy when Hasbro released their line this year, I was happy in general to see Indy content back with Dial! But I still hoped for SHF or Mafex. I had such high expectations, and man did SHF exceed them! They did not disappoint. Did not expect one this early. The likeness, accessories, details, even swappable looks for variation has me blown away. Jacketless?! 3 heads!? With hat or hair? And they look amazing?! God I love they added his smirk! Harrison has an iconic smirk and a hard face to replicate. Closest was Force Awakens Han SHF imo. They nailed it. The only thing that didn't "meet my expectations" was the whip not being bendable, but it still looks great! I'd be interested in Mafex's take still, but SHF already nailed it. So happy. Would love to see other variations, like Crusade Indy, Dial Indy, or even other characters like Short Round, Marion, or Henry Sr. Besides the figure your review is amazing. I love the attention you bring to nearly every detail especially from the films and the smallest touch, being a fan yourself. Like the satchel detail blew me away or even the belt, AND you know what you're talking about. You covered everything perfectly! Also your poses are badass. You're making me more hyped to get mine! Keep up the great work, man. You do great reviews. I stopped collecting figs for a while too because I barely got space in my room, but this has GOTTA be in my collection and you solidified that decision. This belongs in a museum!
I agree! It really is a great Indy figure, and the attention to detail makes him come to life. I think I might detail him a bit by adding dirt to the shoes and things like that, help bring out that sculpt work. Thanks for watching!
@@ObscureJapan and thank you for the review! Also that’ll make him look better! I did realize they made him incredibly clean especially the jacket. Weathering is the cherry on top 100%
I preordered mine on the Japanese Amazon back when it was first put up. I guess it depends where you live though. Amiami was a site I used to use and they seem to have it up for a good price right now.
The bottle was in a set of mini beer Japanese bottles with a mini milk carton they all fit in. I think it came from a gatchapon machine from what I remember. It’s a pretty good scale for Indy when he’s drinking with the monkey.
It's great to see a smiling face option for a figure. These days they don't wanna make smiling faces, even more so with women figures. Chun li, Cammy and Rainbow Mika don't even come with a smiling facea anymore. How am I supposed to replicate their victory poses from the game.
The smiling face is what really sold me on this particular figure. Having him be able to smile while facing Marion is one of the poses that I’ll switch the figure into from time to time. A lot of fans forget that the expertly timed humor in the first three films was part of the formula that made the IP so enjoyable. It’s a shame that the last two films were so atrocious and never could recapture the magic of the trilogy series. BTW: Fantastic review of the SHF offering, ObscureJapan!😎
@kennychung7592 absolutely! That face was a great addition, it really helps him stand out from the other Indy figures. Although after filming I realized they missed an opportunity to include a pair of gloved hands, I would have liked that.
SHF is alway sparse in their figure accessories. If Mafex offered an Indiana Jones, you’d bet they’d include his 1911 and the gloved hands. Mafex has better functionality when it comes to their offerings. Case in point, Hush Catwoman’s whip is segmented which allowed for different whip motion. Missed opportunities on SHF. The face sculpts are top notch though.
That head sculpt is fantastic. The best I've seen from a mass produced company
Using the indiana jones greatest adventure soundtrack is such a class touch.great review thank you
Haha thanks, generally the copyright gods are less harsh when it comes to game music. Luckily those old Lucas arts games had great OSTs!
Look up the Mezco 6" "Raiders" Indy coming next year with the soft goods clothes - it's amazing.

The head sculpt is impressive considering the size. 80-90's Harrison was one suave handsome man.
Maybe that’s why he’s so hard to sculpt, capturing that effortless charm isn’t easy!
Great review! This might be my favorite 6 inch figure of all time, it's absolutely gorgeous
Thanks! Yeah I agree, he was well worth the cost!

Amazing video. Greetings from Guadalajara México.
Thanks very much!
figure looks awesome... lot of cool inclusions....the face is a bit shiny though could use some matt spray
Maybe he’s just sweaty? When I get some time I do plan on weathering this one a bit to add some dust and dirt to him. Can’t have a clean Indy!
Great review man.
Thanks! Yo’ Da-Man!
I’m going smiling head with no hat and jacket off as I don’t have any of the Hasbro offerings without the jacket
It’s great that with just swapping a few parts you can really change up his look and feel!
Got mine. He's great
Fantastic figure can’t wait to get it ❤
For sure, I’m very glad I ordered it!
19:13 Indiana Jones and The Ministry of Silly Walks.
Someone needs to stop-motion that!
Where do you recommend buying it?

@@ObscureJapan cool thanks. Love this figure

Yeah I’m surprised they wouldn’t do it for Chun-Li since her victory pose needs or for sure!

Mika has a grinning face.
He reminds me of professor from Giligan's island.
Haha with the jacket and hat off they do have a similar look don’t they?
Wish i could afford it but zam 70 bucks for a figure aint it
Figures are definitely not cheap these days!
