One thing that saves me sooooo much money is making my own cables. 2 x Mogami XLR ends is maybe 10 bucks. Canare cable is few bucks/meter (or less). Soldering kits are not that much either. Make two cables and you've made the inital investment back!

I've used Monorpice cables and they work great i never had any issues with them. Has anyone used them before and how do you feel about them? Oh Yeah" And they're pretty thick" , LMAO
Pig Hog is legit.. i own a couple thousand foot.. they last.. you don't need to replace them every year.. you're wasting money.. but to each their own..
There is simply zero difference in sound for XLR and nobody will pass a double blind test hearing various priced cables. You want a premium cable cool, but the Amazon Basic ones or Monoprice units work fine, and if you're not abusive with them will last forever. I haven't bought new cables fir for 5 years. I use their AA batteries for my mics too, I'll get 2 weddings and still juice for home remotes or whatever after.
Nick you do you, but all these cables are e-waste brother 😬 Their weak links are the solder points. Even if a cable goes bad, a quick resolder does the job. I have some OLD mic cables my dad bought 30+ years ago and they work just fine.
You go right to Amazon and stop listening to other DJ's on Facebook groups that recommend the same guy. They free items and kickbacks. You think it's a good deal and you get no customer service and used equipment that someone returned. Stick with Amazon.

Most of the DJ equipments came from China however, I bought audio cables, dj accessories,etc from Amazon which later bought direct from manufacturer.

Question about fans: how do you plug them in and not get noise through the system?
I've had two of these fans for years, and plug them in alongside the mixer/mics/etc...have never had a noise issue.

Awesome tips Nick! Quick question, how do you use the more robust transmitter with the Donner (or any of the Chinese) color frequency groups?
How do you know what ID corresponds to what colors on the Donner? Trial and error?
So the transmitter has numbers for each channel and it’s in the same order as the colors on the wireless. So 1 is red 2 is blue etc
Received the transmitter today and…it work further distances than the dongle. Thanks for the valuable info including how to use it!
