    this is a great video for anyone using this recently my tip is to make sure that you are gentle with the atennae for the wifi chip at 5:55 bc I have such big hands it came off easily but never went back on, unfortunately replacing the ends of these white and black cables isnt possible so make sure to be gentle when putting them back on!! (luckily i use ethernet anyway but beware if u use wifi)

      Hello! The pink thermal paste around the CPU and GPU can be replaced. The surrounding chips don't generate much heat, so manufacturers often use thermal putty or thermal pads to save costs. Thermal paste generally has better thermal conductivity than these materials, so it should be fine for cooling. Some people say not to use thermal paste because regular thermal pastes are too runny and their flowability and viscosity are not specially optimized. The gaps between the small chips and the heatsink are too large, causing the paste to flow away easily. Therefore, it's important to use high-quality thermal paste. If you want to replace those materials with thermal paste, we recommend using our KOLD-01 thermal paste. Its flowability and viscosity are specially optimized to avoid this issue.

    • @koolingmonster
      @koolingmonster  Рік тому

      Thermal paste is has better heat conduction than thermal pads. Also, thermal pads are solid materials, whereas thermal paste is grease, therefore thermal paste can fill smaller gaps that thermal pads simply can't.
      Here's a link to our article on thermal paste vs. thermal pads. Hope this can help! koolingmonster.com/insights/cpu-thermal-paste-vs-thermal-pad-which-is-the-best

    • @goorthiss
      @goorthiss Рік тому

      @@koolingmonster Instead of thermal pads, for example, on the vrams and power section, it is used thermal putty such as Upsiren UX Pro. In most cases, thermal paste will not adequately efficiently transfer heat because the heatsink will not adhere or the paste layer will be too thick, above a thickness of ~0.5mm also paste transfers heat poorly.
      For the CPU/GPU cores, I recommend applying PTM7950.

    I forgot to disconnect my laptop battery while cleaning and changing thermal paste
    What should I do!!??

      We suggest always disconnecting the laptop battery when accessing the internals. It is also important to wash hands to prevent static electricity from damaging the motherboard. If your laptop turns back on and does not malfunction, you should not worry too much.

      @@koolingmonsterI did the same thing he did but only with the long black wire and the fan wire after I noticed what I did I plugged them back in and did everything else after I was done I plugged my computer in and the charging light turned on for a second and turned off and ever since then nothing’s been responding won’t show it’s charging or turn on

      Sorry to hear about the issue. It sounds like there may have been a short circuit when the wires were unplugged. Try these steps:
      1. Double-check if all connectors are secure.
      2. Reset the battery or disconnect it for a few minutes, then reconnect.
      3. Try powering the laptop with only the charger, without the battery.
      If it still doesn't work, I'd recommend seeing a professional technician. Always disconnect the battery before working internally to prevent issues.@@Chris-pl9ru

      I hope you can follow our tutorial and use our thermal paste! Thank you! Feel free to try our KOLD-01 thermal paste. It's different from the regular thermal pastes you mentioned. Regular thermal pastes use solvent-based formulas, which can evaporate when heated, causing the paste to dry out and lose its thermal conductivity. Our KOLD-01 uses an exclusive solvent-free formula, perfectly solving this problem. Therefore, it provides better thermal performance and longer durability when used in laptops.

    The fans are supose to throw air or suck it?

    • @koolingmonster
      @koolingmonster  Рік тому

      Hi. The fans in a computer suck in cool air from outside and throw out the hot air from inside.

      We are sorry to hear that. Are you using the correct screwdriver bit? Is there a chance that you tried to remove the screws with a wrong bit and the screws are stripped? You can try to remove the screw with rubberband or gaff tape on the screwdriver bit. We have a tutorial specifically on this matter on our website. koolingmonster.com/insights/how-to-remove-a-stripped-screw-from-laptop-and-pc-using-only-household-tools
