"Very well curated, looks like a record store should be". Now that was a well worded line for sure". Hi Paul, great to see you and Steve hanging out together. Looks like a well packed store. Thanks for sharing it. Rob/Boston
+Paneeks1960 It was great to get out to see a new store. I was telling Steve, that Houston really struggles in the music department given the size of the city. I think a lot of what Houston should have goes to Austin. There are a few really good spots to dig for music but being the forth largest city in the U.S., you would think we would have more.
Nice to see the record shop!!!!!! :-D watching them and seeing the shop owners talk makes me excited and energized! Hahaha... Thank you Paul! Best Regards! Ian.
+HiViNyws channel Thanks Ian. I hope to find a shop sometime that is as clean and high end as the ones you are featuring in Singapore but you last video was very much like the classic American record store. Sorry I couldn't comment on that one as I was watching from my phone on the way into work.
+BarakaPDub no problem Brother!... :-) Hahaha. . the classic vinyl record shop eh? :-D thank you!!! A super well-stocked but horribly messy shop! - Fun :-D See you again soon brother with all your interesting vids. Looking forward to your productions! that's what they are to me. Best Regards! from Ian.
+Channel 33 RPM Yeah...whenever, I make it my way to Canada, I'll have to hook up with you. I am still jealous you have a real record store in your mall. Granted it's the biggest in North America but hey, that's the way it used to be. And always should be.
Paul, I could hear the rain in the video. Buckets! Glad you had the chance to meet Steve and I hope you had a great day. Really cool store. Take care...
I'm glad you were able to stop in there. I agree completely with your take on the place - some interesting rarities, prices are not exactly bargains on average and some things are over priced (I remember that Sydney Bechet... you mention), but they have a cool vibe and overall the selection makes it a worth while stop.
+Andy Glover Didn't see the Turrentine/3 Sounds record that you mentioned so it must have been picked up. Thanks for calling out the store in the video. I probably would have taken Steve somewhere else if it wasn't for you mentioning it in one of your videos just three days prior.
Hey Paul....fun!!! You nailed it. What a pleasure it was meeting you and spending the time together. Thanks for all...lol, the rain pouring on the roof. We will meet again. :) Steve
Hey Paul did you say Houston?. What?. I live in Houston and I had no idea of that record store. LOL. I will check that out sometime soon. I live close to Cactus Music and Vinal Edge so those two are my regulars. I also go to Sound Exchange and rarely to Heights vinyl and Black Dog Records. Good to know that there are more VC members in Houston. Cheers JD
+Spin The Black? Circle (JD) I try and hit Cactus every once in a while when I head into town. I also like the Vinal Edge. The Sound Exchange I hit once...long, long ago. Black Dog is nice but I found some of their stuff to be way to pricey. Black Dog is Bellaire, right? It is cool to know that you in Houston. Have you been to one of the quarterly Record Conventions at the Hilton off of 59?
Agreed about Black Dog being too pricey, that is why I rarely go. I have tried to go to those conventions but there is always something in between. When is the next one?. Maybe we can catch the next one. Hey by the way, in one of your videos you showed Goldfrapp as one of the prices and I started listened to her, amazing!. I bought Tales of Us and the RSD that you showed. Take care man, after watching the Royals kicking NY's butt I am off to bed. JD
+Spin The Black? Circle (JD) Glad you liked the Goldfrapp albums. She constantly evolved her sound from album to album. It's just to bad not all of it is on vinyl (not in print anyway) and I am hoping she will reissue more. The last convention was back at the beginning of October but it wouldn't surprise me if they targeted another one in December. I'll keep you posted when the schedule the next one. It would be cool to hook up.
+BarakaPDub Absolutely Paul. Just let me know if there is another one in December and I will be there. Hey I bought a vinyl flat and saw that you have one video about it. I will just make sure that I don't overcook the album, I have some nasty warps that need to be eliminated. I need to make videos again, It's been forever since I made a video, basically since my wife was about 5 or 6 month pregnant. LOL Take care. JD
$30 for a G+ copy?!? Screw that. Yeah...nothing beats Cactus in Houston. It's still my go to place for records but I haven't been there in eighteen months or more due to COVID.

+Tim Allen Yeah it was really bad...the rain that is. Steve was a really cool guy and I do recommend hooking up with him if you ever get the chance.

Very cool you got to hang out with Steve and visited a new record store.
+dixielandfarm Yep. Nothing better than a dig with a fellow VC member. Someday and I hope someday, I'll go for a dig in North Carolina.

+FlipSideCT I have been out of commission this entire week....slowly getting back. I will explain on vid.
+FlipSideCT Look forward to it Steve. Glad you liked the video.
Great-looking store. Very inviting.
+Speeker If you're ever in the Houston area, check 'em out. Thanks for the watch.
good videoQ
+Trish Mullins Thanks Trish.

Understand completely with the reasons for not doing a video. I've been down that road myself ;)
Definitely overpriced. Lightning Hopkins record was $30 for a G+ copy, went to cactus and found the same one in VG+ for $15.
