For Filipinos like me, usually party means, being with family and friends, and eating a lot of food. Mostly also karaoke and drinking alcohol. But since I became a Christian, they do not ask me anymore to drink with them. By the way, usually drinks are with family and close friends. Not really strangers unless they want to treat you like family.
Depends on the type of party. If your church has a Christmas party (assuming you are at a biblically sound church), it’s probably fine. But if it’s a secular party, use caution. If you suspect people getting drunk (since just drinking alcohol is not a sin, but drunkenness is), drugs, basically everything mentioned in the video, it would be best to avoid it, even if you are not doing any of that.
1 Peter 4:3-5 KJV For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: [4] Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: [5] Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. It depends on the party … but no, a Christians can’t go to the kind of parties described in this passage.
Parties with other believers is great. Do it all the time. Happy New Year.
I like that. "We don't want to lead Ourselves into temptations"

Jesus went to parties. It’s our behavior and conduct that matters and the type of parties we engage in.
