It sounds just like my Farmmac F660V with the Hyway Dual Output muffler. I noticed a decent gain as well. It wanted to Rev easier and stay revved more in the cut.
Do you really need the extra power? My 311 cuts down anything. Now you fit a muffler rubbing on the break. I just got a 660. Its frankly too heavy on my back. Haven't cut with it yet.

Did you tune the carb at all after installation?
I think so.
