Replacing the "rotor" pulley STIHL OEM part number 1122-195-0400 on the recoil (inside the pull start assembly) will save you a headache and a heartache later. The STIHL plastic is stronger and the hole for the pull rope is at a 45 degree angle instead of a 90 degree on the Chinese models.
Keep in mind that the real STIHL saw has a Magnesium cover over the starter recoil assembly. The "Chinese copies have plastic covers and if you drop the saw or bang the saw on the side then you might damage the recoil assembly parts very easily.
Be interested to know if the decomp held up. Many of the aftermarket ones from various sources DO NOT. For $15.00 I would have bought the Stihl decomp in a heart beat. Post up on how this decomp has performed. Thanks
Why do so many people buy a stihl cover to put on a holzfforma saw? That's the equivalent of putting a cobra emblem on a v-6 mustang. Why not just leave the holzfforma badge on it?

Couldn't find the exact Compression release that you used. Share a link?
I wish I could. The seller is no longer active on Ebay. Sorry.
@@Scotcho64 Thanks for the reply. Keep your eye peeled and post if you find them else where. I'll do the same.
I will, Thanks. @@Shawnf1977
Where’d ya get your trick badge there?
On Ebay.

In my own case, there was no holzfforma badge that came with it. They were out of stock. I found the Stihl badge for cheap and ordered it.
How to spell Holzfforma
