    Thank you for all the info. I’m really researching on Japanese gel polish. Our favorite tech went back home and we haven’t found a tech that we enjoy. So I’m taking an interest to go soft gel.

    i really love a barrel safety bit more than a tapered bit - especially for beginners and DIYers. when i first used the tapered bit i DEFINITELY cut my cuticle using it first and i started bleeding LOL. i would also definitely not use it using a non dominant hand.

    Thank you for the information. I have the Eric Sciver bit. I do like it for removal of the cuticle on the nail bed. It is very gentle. I have another bit that is similar to the Flame bit that I use for bulky removal or if I have embellishments on the nail. Even works great on glitter polish. Since that is really difficult to remove. The ceramic bit is only a 6 mth lasting bit? I don't know if I would like that for such a short duration. Did I understand that correctly? Thanks again for sharing.

      Hi Marisol, Yes. I used my removal bits, ceramic and titanium, a TON in the salon, and I wore both down by the year. Ceramics a bit quicker 6 months sounds about right. I still keep it for shaping, but no longer for full removal, as it causes heat because of the teeth been so worn down.

    Thanks Paola!! I appreciate your videos and learn so much from you. May I offer a suggestion to please speak up in your videos? I turn my volume waaaayy up just to hear you speak and it feels like you’re whispering or doing ASMR lol your voice is super soothing but it’s hard to follow sometimes.

    The yellow silicone bit is no longer available, please could you recommend one that I can use to prep the surface of the nail instead of a throw away buffer?

    I am left handed and I only found a corn shape and cone for lefties. Are Those suitable for shaping too?

    • @PaolaPonceNails
      @PaolaPonceNails  3 роки тому +1

      Yes they are, use the belly of the bit more for that.

    Awesome! Can the silicone bit go in high level disinfectant (Barbacide)?

    • @PaolaPonceNails
      @PaolaPonceNails  4 роки тому +1

      I did mine. It doesn't damage it. However, auto-clave is probably best.

    What grit do you use for the Érica bit? Coarse, fine, or medium?

    • @PaolaPonceNails
      @PaolaPonceNails  2 роки тому

      Medium, typically, but I moved away from Erica's products to Nashlynails now.

    #paolaponcenails I have restarted my interest in the nail industry and I am enrolled to start my certificate 3 in nailology in Australia that is what is required to be a professional nail technician. I want to be the best nail technician I possibly can and your videos really have been helping. Have you got experience with Arylic?? If yes what do you recommend for powders and monomer for beginners.
