    A tip you might want to include in a future video: if you have a popcorn bucket from the parks you can bring it on board and pay the refill price. You don't have to buy a new bucket on board.

    Great job with this. Thank you! One of things I would like to share is that at each meal, the menu you are provided does not included all that is available. If you saw something at another restaurant or had something you really liked at a previous meal or someplace else on the boat, just BE THEIR GUEST and request it. If your server is more senior AND whatever you are asking for is available, they will get it for you. One other thing you mentioned was the Mickey Bar. We, generally, make a request the first evening and that request is to automatically bring us Mickey Bars at the end of our meal every evening. We are heading out again in June to visit the Greek Islands. We can’t wait!

    Yes! For the motion on the ocean. I don't really get motion sickness but we brought sea bands, bonine, and ginger gum just incase. WE did not need it at all on the Dream except the last night in Animators. It was so rough that night, it was hard to eat. I didn't feel sick to my stomach, but it made me very swimmy headed.

    How do you request your own table? Also is it possible for solo cruisers to have their own table. I'm really wanting to solo cruise by the dining is my biggest hurdle. Don't love the thought of eating with people I don't know.

    • @disneeds
      @disneeds  Рік тому +2

      I have seen solos and we get our own for 2 people, so I think that would be doable except for during the busiest cruises. To request, ask your travel agent or call Disney Cruise Line. I think you might be able to make that request online now under your reservation also.

    • @BMWguy206
      @BMWguy206 Рік тому +2

      I recently went on two Disney cruises, as a solo cruiser, and had my own table. I booked my cruise with a travel agent and told them that I wanted early dining seating and wanted my own table. On my first Disney Cruise, I had early dining and on the second cruise I had late dining. They will try their best to accommodate your request but sometimes you may not get what you want. The early dining fills up fast and during on-line check-in, there is an option to be on a waitlist for early dining. When I boarded the ship on Day 1, I went straight to the Restaurant Guest Services, spoke to the manager about switching my late dining time to early dining and he told me it's possible but I would be seated with another solo cruiser. I told him I'd keep the late dining to see how it works out.

    • @missminpink

      Yes, I found it under dietary request on the Disney Cruise App.( it's mainly for dietary restrictions but they also give you the option to requst solo dinning).

      I was recently on the Magic solo and they paired me with another woman who was traveling solo. The first night the staff asked if that was OK or did I want a solo table.

    • @radtacular2218
      @radtacular2218 Рік тому +1

      How many people do the tables typically seat? I'm going to be traveling in a group of 6, and I'm not sure whether we'd need to request our own table or if we'll just naturally get that with our numbers.
      EDIT - We're traveling on the Wonder, in case that makes a difference for the answer.

    I got room service for breakfast every morning because nobody wanted to go anywhere right away. There are secret menu items including Uncrustables. I almost feel bad for the cast member that went back to the ship from Castaway and back to get one because we somehow ran into one of the servers and they had nothing that I liked there. Then every night after that I got them for dinner 😅🤣 The menu is just a suggestion. If it’s not there, they might have it.

    2:07 can this request be done prior to boarding or a day one guest services question?

    • @disneeds

      You can request your own table prior to the cruise under "My Reservation" "Special Requests" and once you are on-board the dining guest services team can let you know if they were able to accommodate it.

      You can make the request by calling Disney Cruise Line, or requesting through your travel agent if you have one. Recently they added a few more special request sections online and I think you can do it under your reservation now.

    • @disneeds
      @disneeds  Рік тому +1

      There are long lines, especially if you get there early. We usually arrive about 10 minutes late, but not much more. They have to stick with timing for entertainment during meals so good to be there on time.

    I am the queen of motion sickness. I can turn my head and get dizzy. The chewable Bonine works fast in anout 5 to 7 minutes. Dramamine takes longer but doee last just as long. They both make you sleepy but noyhung you cant work through. Bonine and Dramamine have different active ingredients. Peppermint candy, lemon drops, lemon slices, cut green apples, and sea bands work great. If you think you need something heavier, your dr can give you motion sickness stickers that are water proof and last 3 to 5 days. I also like the True crystalozed Lemon, lime or orange powder. They are easy to carry and put in water if you feel nauseous.
    I was very nervous that eating by the window in the dining room would do me in. It wasnt bad. Our beverages didnt even move. We had a second floor port hole in the back of the ship (Royal Carribean). Never felt a thing.

    • @disneeds
      @disneeds  Рік тому +2

      Thank you for the suggestion. They will typically have the deck shows twice for both seating times to attend, OR they will have the deck show in between seatings. It can be a close call at times. I would check the navigator app when you get on the ship. You will be able to look ahead and see what shows you want to see. You can let your dining team know if you need to leave a little early or arrive a little later but it usually works out. I hope you have a great trip!

      Depends. I would consider how many people, type of room, # of port stops, and overall destinations. If 10k is for an inside room with almost all port days, maybe not. If it’s for verandah for more than 2 people and amazing views with lots of ship time, that would be more worth it to me.
