As always, full of excellent information, so helpful for newbies and returning cruisers alike! Family of the Day is first, then Back-to-Back Cruisers, Concierge is a part of Groups 1 & 2, but can board whenever they want during boarding hours.
I am a Silver Castaway Club Member. I went on my first Disney cruise on the Fantasy in March 2022 back when we had to test and all that good stuff. I remember making a few of these mistakes. I am very glad that you are making these videos to help out the newbies. I am very excited for my second cruise in March 2023. These videos are very helpful and I love the slideshow of videos and pictures of the cruise ships included while you talk about the cruises. Love the info! Love the channel!
I just want to say one thing for people who are going on a cruise I was reading an article and the author complained that they didn't celebrate St. Patrick's day. Just so ya'll know, disney only celebrates Christmas, Halloween, sometimes July 4th (not always) and New years. The reason is because some people are from other countries and St Patrick's day isn't considered a holiday.
We are so excited for our first Disney cruise this month and your videos have been so helpful-so thank you very much! I have one question for you. How/when do we find out when we are allowed to get off the ship on castaway cay day? We want to get there as early as possible but have no clue how that process works!
Thank you. I’m so glad they are useful! When you get on the ship, your navigator app will have the information for every day of the cruise and you can see the exact times there. It’s typically about 8:00 to 4:30 or so and they will pull right up to the port so you can walk on and off the ship. You will need your key to the world card they give you (you use that for all charges as well as when getting on and off the ship). I hope you have a fantastic trip!
@@disneeds Thank you! So everyone has the opportunity to get off the ship at the same time? I have watched some vlogs where there was an assigned time but that may have been during COVID protocol...
One more question: How early are we allowed to park at the terminal before our port arrival time? I've heard you will get turned away if you get there too early but I don't know if that means turned away from parking or turned away from entering the actual terminal. Thanks for your help!
That’s tough. I would probably do concierge if it was easy. Or if it’s a stretch, I would do regular verandah and then concierge next time. That being said, I have not tried concierge yet and many people say once you do it’s hard to go back.
My parents booked one for a Christmas gift. Don’t get to go until September but so excited can’t wait. I remember my first Disney cruise we were chosen to be first on the cruise and got chosen on the second cruise we went on but decided to let them pick another family so they could have the same memory as us
I don’t recommend one over the other but Homewood Suites, Country Inn & Suites, & Especially the Holiday Inn, have some. You definitely need to request it and the higher the floor the better.
Hey Disneeds, I went on the wish I do want to tell you something it’s a “magical” ship no mid ship elevators, the food was bad In the restaurant. I feel like Disney tries to hard to make the food good. The sofa was rock hard that I hurt myself each time I go and sit on it. The bingo prices Is higher than the other ships. (The Dream Is My Favorite Ship) and you can’t serve your food anymore but I get why they do it but Covid was 3 years ago. And there’s no 5-7 days and I kinda fe happy to get off this ship today that’s the negative parts of it. And the other parts of the ship was good The positive parts
@DisNEEDS Yeah it was good. I miss the waiters very much they brighten my day when I see them at dinner. 1 of the waiters was funny at dinner. When I said the food stinks he said “you like it” I just feel sad that I can’t see them soon.
I love placeholders and I think if you even might possibly want to go on another cruise in the next 2 years, and have the $250 to spare, there is no diwn side. I booked a cruise for November on the Wish using my placeholder, but the Disney + discount actually ended up being a way better value to switch to a different sailing on tge Dream. I couldn't combine the 10% and no charge for passenger 3 and 4, but I could use everything I had paid so far on the original cruise. I still think it's better to lock in that 10% discount. If you can't find a better discount, it's a nice slice off the price. If you can, you can sometimes combine, and if not, you can often switch to the better deal.
These videos make me so excited for my first cruise ever on the Disney Magic this summer. Seriously can’t wait! 🎉
How exciting! I hope it’s fabulous!
Nice I'm going in November my first ever too

5k will get off first and then you can typically come and go as long as they don’t have restrictions put in place again.
@@disneeds Thank you, so helpful!
I usually set up a craft beer exchange! so much fun!
Our last cruise group had one of these. Great idea!
Disneeds, my birthday cruise Is in 2 days on the wish. I’m watching all you videos for the information!
How exciting!! I hope you have an Amazing celebration!
Wow I’m leaving tomorrow. I’m so excited!

They will allow you to park about 15 minutes, give or take, before your designated arrival time.
@@disneeds Thank you!!!
question ? First Disney cruse standard room or concierge for your first Disney cruse ?

@@disneeds I do concierge the in hotels and yes it
I can see that. We did an Animal Kingdom suite with the savanna view and it was by far the best room so far!
Thank you for posting this video Disneeds
You’re welcome. Thank you for watching!

What wonderful memories. I love how your family spread the Magic to another family. I hope you all have a wonderful cruise!
What hotel has a view of the ship? Thank you so much for the information!!!
There are usually at least a few for each port. Which port are you sailing from?
@@disneeds Port Canaveral, FL

You mentioned vacuum bags. Is there a way to seal them back up on the cruise?
I have bags that have some type of one way holes at the end. So I sit on it to get the air back out. So much easier!
Disney cruises or overrated and too stressful. Go on Royal and never look back
Royal cruises? Newbie here collecting information and do research
@@titlepending1302 Royal Caribbean. I've been on many. With and without kids. Royal has so much more to do
