Thanks! They only had this engine in the Impala for 2004 and 2005. They are perfect for daily drivers. Reliable and easy to Drive, but also quick and sporty when you want/need it to be. Only an Intake, Computer, and smaller supercharger pulley is needed to make it really fun!
The year 2000’s was the best year for Chevys. Impala SS, and the Cobalt SS LSJ was a hit. My Fiancé and I are very lucky to own both the models. She owns a 04 Impala SS and I own a 07 Cobalt SS LSJ. the 3800 SC and the 2.0 SC LSJ in my opinion are the 2 most solid drivetrain I’ve ever driven. Still solid cars to this day.
I bought the computer from ZZPerformance. You have to give them your VIN number and vehicle info and they will program everything into the computer so a lot of the time you can just swap it out and be all set. Sometimes you may need to perform a "security relearn" which is basically just reprogramming the chip in your key to start the car. Its a fairly easy you can google the procedure... it's basically just turning the key to the on position and waiting 5-10 mins until the security light goes off and then repeating those steps again twice for a total of 3 times. I have used these computers on 2 different cars so far. On my Buick I had to perform the security relearn, on my Impala I did not. As far as actual tuning, no you shouldn't need to tune it. It's already set up to give you more power and throttle response, and the transmission tune they programmed makes the car drive and shift so much better. If you did have any other parts on your vehicle you could tell the people at ZZP when you order and they can set the tune accordingly. Hope that helps!
@@davewhite1602 this makes me miss my Impala. Mine was an Indy edition too 😢 I had a K&N cold air intake, 2.5" ZZP downpipe with the cat, ZZP computer with all the emission codes deleted. I even ditched the resonator for a piece of straight pipe but still kept the factory mufflers only because I still wanted it to look stock. Nailing it on a straight stretch of road with the traction control off was a thing of beauty. Two long black patches every time 😁🤘 and that supercharger whine man........ damn I miss it. My only regret is not switching to e85. I mostly ran either straight premium gas or e30.
@@LXRD-SUPREME- I had to put too much money into it. To be fair I bought it used. But I’ve never had to put so much money into car like that one literally every week something had to be fixed or replaced
These cars are a pain to fix and do have issues with wiring and the coil packs going bad but when working right this car looks beautiful and runs very good, not great on gas but just all in all a fun car to drive, not a fun car to fix
I didn’t know they had an ss version of this year impala. That’s a pretty sweet ride! I bet it’s definitely fun to drive!!

I have an 04 Impala, v6 3.4, after 2 flowmasters, it sounds like an SS
Looks like my 03 Ls.. Need that engine through...
Are the 2004 impala ss and base 2004 impala parts interchangeable?
Think it’s safe to say we all got that dent from changing the front left brake.😂
Nice car
jorge luna, Thanks I have done alot more to it since this video!
Ayy bro I have a question if u don’t mind answering it
Did u have to get a tune wen u plugged in your new computer...?.. Or u can jus plug it in and good to go..,.?

hey i have the same car like you but i have promblems and i have not started in years and i was wondering if you would help me understand what’s wrong
Best advice is to junk it. I hate this car
Is that a buick park Avenue engine?
No but they both came with the 3.8 Supercharged.
👏🏾👏🏾
What does the ZZ computer do
Ch
The computer tunes the car for the 3.5 pulley
This literally the WORST car I’ve ever owned. I can’t believe I honestly bought this POS
Why was it the worst car ?
