They are changing the layout to resemble TI calculators with the replacement of the CG50, currently only in France, the Graph Math+. I have mixed feelings.
Love that there is a channel for this stuff. About to be a highschool senior and I love how much these calculators can do. I recently picked up a Nspire CAS 2 and I love it! Thanks for making content like this.

Until 2021, the fx-9750GIII has Python that the TI-84 Plus CE did not. Still, the fx-9750GIII has base conversions, Boolean logic, and vector calculations while the TI-84 Plus CE (Python) does not. The fx-9750GIII is a solid choice.
About the "asymptote" problem, I was able to get around it on the ti-84 by changing from "connected" to " dot" mode, where the calculator plots points without connecting them. I assume that this calculator has a similar feature. It is not a perfect solution but a reasonable workaround for plotting functions with poles, and other discontinuities.
Once you get used to it, it is easy to type on calculator. But yes it does take like 3 weeks to get used too. I made a whole choose your adventure just on a calculator
O think Casio is comparing this model with the greyscale ti-84 family, not the ce. Casio makes the fx cg-50, which is a fairer competitor to the ti-84 ce. Great review 👍
Hey, why did you skip over the program section? I watched all the way to 11:26 and you didn't even mention that it can program in Python as well as Basic, and you didn't show anything about those topics at all...wait...I see a minute or so later you do mention Python but don't demonstrate it.

The bottom menubar takes some getting used to but the idea of "never leaving the screen" almost reminds me of the Playstation 3.

I am turning into a calculator collector. I own a ti-89 titanium, an ti-inspire, an hp prime g2. Just ordered me my old favorite calculator the HP 48sx. I used to own one when it came out. I used to be a Nuclear Electronics Technician in the Navy. Thinking about getting this too! Haha!
I'm thinking about it too. Started on Casio and have had HP and TI. This Casio can be loaded with the overseas firmware and then should be overclockable with ftune and can side load c.basic. That would make it screamingly fast (for a calculator) for home brew algorithms.

hi, i got this calculator recently and this video was beyond helpful in helping me understand all of the mechanics. one tiny question though, when you click shift you can get the other concept assigned to the key, how do you type? get x and stuff like that in a problem?
I honestly prefer AA batteries over lithium ion batteries simply because of the fact that lithium ion batteries degrade quickly. Lithium ion batteries can lose 10% of their capacity every year. If you find a TI 84 During freshman year of high school and plan on using it until senior year of college, you may only have 20% of the battery capacity left. The fact that you could swap out the batteries once they’re dead on the Casio makes it last significantly longer and I don’t mind the extra thickness.
10% every year? That sounds like a lie. I don't have a calculator, but I have smartphones/tablets that have inbuilt Li-io batteries, and even old devices did not lose 80% of capacity as you said. My 7-year-old laptop that I have used almost every day still has 63% capacity.
We would like to see the import, export and programming stuff of this graphing sci-calculator! Sometimes we want to see more the difference betweeen FX9570 and FX9860.
I keep asking myself, why does casio put the DELETE button next to the AC? The Class Pad II has the clear button under the back button. I personally hate that.
It uses alkaline AA batteries. Maybe you could use rechargeable ones but you need to charge them separately. The bonus is that it lasts forever. I have the original fx-9750G which I bought in 1998.

Does your expression contain variables? If so, you are likely getting a zero because all variables are set to zero by default. This calculator cannot evaluate or simplify expressions algebraically, for that you will need a calculator with a computer algebra system (CAS).

@@PaulEstrada1 not at all. The menus resemble the FX-991CW rather than a TI calculator. One thing is for sure. It has a lot of arrow keys.

Yeah navigating the Casio calculator is different than ti. As long as it can perform the same function, it doesn’t really matter.
Casio was (or has been) a famous brand for calculators and electronic dictionaries in Korea.

Don't use the X on the top where the f5 button is, rather press alpha and +. That should allow you to graph.

Click alpha, quick tip, if the word above a button is yellow, click shift to use that one, if it’s red use alpha

Batteries are way better durability and if you run out of power. You can chuck in new batteries.

SHIFT -> MENU (SET UP), Complex Mode: {a+bi}. Then, SHIFT -> 0 (i). Also see OPTN -> F3 (CPLX).
