No. According to our professional BBC correspondent in Chengdu, an interviewed Uyghur PLA officer, whom had requested to remain anonymous, the design of China's 6th Gen aircraft is stolen from BMW, not Mercedes.
The Chengdu project (are we saying J36 yet?) is quite clearly the monster here. Huge size and three engines to enable drone control, ECM, EW, range, et al. This is PLAAN firing on all cylinders. Shengyang's project is much more intriguing.

The official designation will most likely be JH-36. “H” denoting ground attack. The Chengdu is the final product of JH-XX project that has been underway since 2014. A stealthy high altitude multirole strike aircraft to replace the JH-7. The large size makes sense seeing as the internal bay needs to carry some of China’s largest air to surface missiles.

It is natural for China to be stronger than the United States in various aspects due to its large population, abundance of intelligent individuals, and the Chinese people's strong work ethic. China has been a world leader for thousands of years, while the United States has only held that position for a century. The decline of the United States is inevitable, and although China will eventually decline as well, it certainly won't happen now. If the Americans are wise, they will strive to maintain good relations with China, as the Chinese are still very friendly. If they make China their enemy and offend China, China will eventually defeat them, just as the Chinese defeated Mongolia, the Huns, and the Turks in the past.
Right when I seen the two aircraft and they’re drastic design differences, I was thinking it’s probably going to be a high low mix just like that J 20 and the J 35
This is not what a "high-low" mix means. A high-low mix is is when you have a large number of less sophisticated planes with a smaller number of highly sophisticated planes. For example; the J16 and J20 comprise a high-low mix, or the J15 and J35. A future high-low mix for China would be these planes mixed with 5th generation aircraft like the J20 and J35. There's actually not a word for having multiple 6th generation planes. I guess China will have to create such a word.
Probably is a high low mix and thats what the video sort of implies both will go into some form of production....... I also think theres a 3rd one that everyone is forgetting..... if the 6th gen image floating around last yr hasnt been debunked.... the delta with the small canards?
Great China !🇨🇳👍China 6th Gen Fighter Spec: 1.Hypersonic flight "Mach 3". 2.Flight altitude up to 30km (edge of atmosphere). 3.Flight radius at least 3000km. 4. No tail, ultra-flat body, stealth w/o blind spot. 5.Ultra-high-level battlefield sensor. 6. AI assisted control drone (loyal wingmen).
At least provide some reasonable statistics before trying to make a point. The AI assisted drone control is far more impressive then a human operated jet
The darkstar is only a manned reconnaissance plane, China is building hypersonic reconnaissance unmanned drones. In this way they have already surpassed the US's goal for the "darkstar" project.
Slowly but surely, China begins to make steady progress towards its defense industries. China’s 6th generation aircraft features a unique tail-less design, which may make it difficult to detect using conventional radars. The aircraft has a double-delta wing configuration and is propelled by three engines, with two located at the bottom of the fuselage and one on top. It is expected to have substantial internal space to accommodate various payloads or advanced technological systems. The successful test flight of China’s 6th generation aircraft marks a significant milestone of China advancing aviation sector. China is bolstering its military capabilities pertaining to its national security and for its deterrent purpose at potential offenders. China is slowly bolstering its military capabilities and has undergone a transformative upgrade in China defense against an unfriendly country. China is not competing in the race with any countries. China has to prepare and protect itself from the belligerent US in the event of any aggressive threat from the US. China has come a long way and has been making steady progress in its defense industries to protect the country. It is good for China to develops its aircraft to defend and protect itself against unfriendly country.

is there another tailless 6th gen craft? the leaked image of a delta but with canards? was it debunked? it was the first ''china 6th gen'' image doing the rounds on the internet
My thoughts are that the shengyang one is an early prototype for a replacement of the carrier operated J-35 that just entered service whereas the diamond shaped one with three engines is intended to replace the J-20 at some point. Probably the Shengyang is designed with export in mind as well while the other wont be.
Sanctions are effective. After banning the export of rare earth materials, the United States can no longer produce existing fifth generation fighter jets, and the F-35 has not been delivered for a long time
Seems like both of the aircraft are no longer prototype, but a later development build. The number on the Changdo aircraft is 36011, which stand for "JX36 - 11th aircraft built", the Shenyang one is unknown, but both seem to have passed the yellow prototype paint phase, and already received their dark grey colour paint.
From past indications these two are likely close to induction, especially the Chengdu model. Rumours are there are two others that are under development still.
You think that the thing with three engines is going to have the designation j lol Now it means JH 36 lol I really don't know what's more irritating uh the people that think a 3 Engine platform is an fighter jet or They're really hilariously bad articles from the U S news media

Actually, the indications are Chengdu may be a multi-role and the Shenyang might be a bomber. But of course all this is speculation from the clues given.
There is no way Shenyang's proposal does not have weapons bay big enough to fit at least smaller anti-ship missiles. Otherwise they won't add much new capabilities compared to China's existing 5th gen fighters.
@@noriakikakyoin6557 If it's a supersonic tailless design, then it's at least a 6th gen fighter, because its stealth would be an order of magnitude above that of 5th gen fighters.
not at all, putting lipstick on a pig doesn't mean that the internals are on par with 5th gen, let alone the bar that the US set for 6th gen. The US has been operating tailless aircraft since the 70s. China has quite a ways to go to be on par with US tech
any other jokes? china can't produce a plastic lining of a coke cans, and it took them until 2017 to manufacture a ballpoint pen and they still import 80% of their ballpoint pens. what makes you think they're capable of making a 6th gen aircraft. lets not even bring up their craptastic semiconductor manufacturing.
@@bosstwind7010 Coke cans must be very important to you 🙂 The US has to steal tech from TSMC to be able to manufacture semicondoctors. It's Taiwan and South Korea which has that tech, not so much the USA. I don’t know about ballpoint pens, though. I guess there are some things the West still can produce. 🙂
The Chengdu fighter is a delta design. Large internal volume for fuel, weapons, and systems. Not maneuverable, but meant to sustain high speeds and altitudes. Not maneuverable at all, and won’t be able to defend and recommit in a BVR exchange. The Shenyang fighter uses what’s called a Lambda wing. Aerodynamically efficient, but structurally deficient compared to the delta, it’s designed with maneuverability in mind, exceeding the delta at all but the highest speeds. This is very obviously their F-22 equivalent. Not necessarily a dogfighter (though I’m sure it will be able to), but good for those intense mid range BVR exchanges. Climbing, firing, defending, and recommitting is what this jet looks very attuned for.
Supposedly the pentagon is having overtime now lol. Chinese PLA watchers seem to be saying one thing, this is the language Americans understand. Power, technology, strength and the fear of being the one dominated instead of them doing the domination.
It’s interesting because from what I’ve seen theorized so far when it comes to 6th gen fighter the focal point is not role but capability, especially the ability to operate drones from the aircraft itself commanding a fleet of drones possibly each of which specialized for a specific role: missile truck drone, advanced radar drone, bomber drone, decoy drone, reconnaissance drone,… So the aircraft itself in the West is way less seen as a final product but more of a component of a system of systems. It seems like the US project is ultimately going to produce a large aircraft with at least 2 crew members and more focused on being a good “mothership” than a fighter itself. And the final product itself is expected to also be crazy expensive, with a price more keen to a ship than an aircraft. So from that point of view having a hi-low combination of 2 aircrafts doesn’t make much sense for the characteristics that the new generation is told to be about. The Shengyang project for example looks more like an advanced 5th gen design more than anything else.
Well thought out comment. The issue remains - "5G" is first and foremost a marketing term by Lockheed to smoke the competition. But if we are to adopt the term 6G, then no country/manufacturer has truly defined the features yet beyond speculation of its perceived capabilities i.e. Drone control & sensor fusion, VLO (tailless), ULRAAMs, Direct energy weapons, perhaps the ability to wage warfare in space even etc. Short answer is - We simply don't know but the country that first fields a platform showcasing some of the above will eventually call the shots on its definition. That said, it is unanimously agreed upon that 6G jets will be significantly larger than all preceding fighter jets before as the next war, if ever, will be conducted over the pacific between the 2 rival powers (US & China). The enlarged fuselage also negates the need for aerial refuelling as those will be vulnerable targets.
i dont think it will require traditional 2D or 3D nozzel, its more like a space craft that has small nozzels on the body and be used for changing directions, more efficient
Wow, China produces two 6th generation stealth supersonic jet fighters from chengdu and shenyang combat aircraft manufacturers. The immediate difference between the two is the number of engines. The "white emperor" from Chengdu has three engines and the Shenyang has two engines. These two top designs 6th generation stealth supersonic jet fighters compliment each other to strengthen China's Airforce. With these two 6th generation stealth supersonic jet fighters China has definitely surpassed the usa in building combat jet fighters.
@canismajoris3910 well, according to the video the Chengdu aircraft has three engines. So my conclusion is that it is the White Emperor. The one at the zhuhai air Show is a mock up but i am not talking about the mock up but the real one.
@@PhilipTan-i1u - having three engines does not equate to "White Emperor". The Chengdu model is definitely not the white emperor. However, there are rumours of two other models that are under development. So it is possible they may be looking into developing something similar to a "white emperor".
Obviously the middle engine is different from the other 2. it’s a scramjet engine. The 2 are responsible for lower altitude and lower speed flight, when it reaches altitude 20000m and above , the middle engine will turn on and the other 2 turbine engine will stop. For much more efficient and faster flight up to 30000m high and 3 Mach of speed. 5th gen fighters like F22 or F35 cannot even touch it on such high altitude and high speed, with enhanced stealth capability.
H20 will probably not be supersonic, but subsonic with extreme range. It hasn't postponed but was supposed to be at the Zhuhai airshow however the aircraft is not ready quite yet.
Something doesn't add up. The clip at 25 seconds shows green foliage which would indicate a much earlier in the year video or, it has been manipulated. All the different trees still have their leafs where in the other clips it shows trees without leafs.
What a great comment ! You are a true American. have you ever been in China? China even today has weather from - 35 in the north currently to 20 degrees in the south ! You think your trees have no leaves anymore it is the same all over the world ? The 2 jets are from 2 different manufacturers, and they did not say where they actually test flying them !
It is currently winter in Chengdu. Other clips show trees with no leafs but that clip looks more like early autumn. Merely an observation. I am not American.
@ Yes it is WInter and I have still green palm trees in front of my house. The question was have you ever been in China? It does not say where the video was taken. The manufacturer is located in Sichuan province, neighbouring province is Yunnan which has all year around sub tropical weather with Bananas, lemon and oranges growing . The vegetation actually looks more sub tropical to me, so if it was in Sichuan then in the south closest to Yunnan. Besides, the video also says “ one of the first public appearances “
I remember seeing the initial reports on the news of the one PLANE being escorted by the other fighter but I was more interested in the 2nd plane because it looked a lot cooler looking. It's the J36 they're calling it or I could be mistaken
There are now 3... There is a new unknown aircraft equipped with a rotary detonation engine, and many citizens took videos of the super cruise test flight.
It looks like an FB-22 concept but with an extra engine. Probably for more electricity or cooling for electronic. Merica 6th has flown broke records and is caught up in the budget. But at some point, everything will look the same.
The only reason they would consider thrust vectoring is for the same reason the su57 has it, they don’t have enough conviction on their stealth defenses
Yes, so they are not a threat to the national security of the United States. Only tricycles are a threat to the national security of the United States. Your suggestion is very good. Don’t mention it again next time!
Yall are forgetting about the US testing their super stealth drone over New Jersey. You spend 100 years chasing an eagle just to be surprised that his claws are sharp.
Yes, this eagle is really great. In North Korea, it was plucked of its feathers, in Vietnam, its face was scratched, in Iran, its head was broken, and in Afghanistan, this eagle still tastes good when grilled...
One looks like a near space interceptor, the other looks more like a traditional fighter. Other than cost, I don't see why China can't use both designs, since they seem to specialize in different roles
Click bate! Why don’t you talk about why no one wants to buy their jets? Their “giant” navy is comprised of mostly coastal vessels, and their submarines sink. Their huge army hasn’t fought a war since the Korean War in the 50s and will probably do as well as the North Koreans in the Ukraine. Do your research and see that is a copy (not unexpected) of a US design.
You are absolutely right. China has not had a war for a long time, and the United States has not had peace for a long time. That is why the United States has conquered North Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iran, Myanmar and the whole world. The most powerful weapon of the United States is your mouth that never remains silent!
This approach speaks a language that the United States and its allied nations can comprehend-perhaps the only way to compel them to truly value and pursue peace.
@@theussmirage Why do you think that this shows that they are catching up? Because they built something with a flying wing design that's been around for decades already? This thing looks very advanced. It looks very small to me. I get the sense this thing is really agile for an aircraft with no tail or vertical stabs. It seems to have solved or at least come close to solving the problem of having a big vertical surface sticking up from the side aspect while maintaining the high agility of a fighter. At least it intends to solve that. When the F-22 and F-35 were drawn up they only reason they have the tail and stabs is because the technology to get rid of them wasnt quite there yet. They took the hit to stealth for the gain of fighter like agility and performance. I wonder if the US will show what we have been cooking soon now. I would imagine the US got early information about these systems and thats why they delay NGAD and went back to the drawing board.

What we know so far: 1- China's military hasn't claimed it is a 6th gen fighter. The media and youtubers like you are. 2- One is dorito shaped, and the shape does not make it a 6th gen fighter. That's likely a bomber, which would make more sense seeing it likely has 3 engines. And if that's the case, it's likely not for dog fighting, since maneuvering is less feasible with 3 engines. 3- The second prototype has smokey ass Marlboro engines (not shown in this video, but in others). That's a lot of engine smoke for a "stealth" aircraft. Maybe its stealthy in that it creates smokescreens. 4- These prototypes fly. That's it. Anything else, is pure hype from kids' imagination. Anyone who is talking about "capabilities", is just straight up making it up. Its all obvious propaganda designed to get "leaked" to western media.
What we know so far about China's military aircraft: Chengdu J-20: Despite its advanced stealth design, it struggles with engine reliability and performance compared to Western equivalents. Shenyang J-16: While a capable multirole fighter, it inherits some of the Su-27's limitations, particularly in terms of radar and electronic warfare systems when compared to newer Western fighter jets. This new delta: Got off the ground and landed without crashing.
Have you not looked at news about Chinas development for 10+ years? Chinas 5th gen fighter is J20 and J35. Its estimated at least 300 J20s are in service, it has existed for many years now.
A flying object like Anka 3. How will we see the features of the 6th generation fighter jet? It needs to fly without a pilot. It needs to control, command and assign tasks to many piloted UAVs. It needs to be 100% invisible, etc. etc. The list goes on. Got it, right?

It'd be amazing if the Chengdu craft's 3rd engine is a ramjet.

If the Pentagon has not known about these Projects, what are those 17 "Intelligence services" good for? Oh wait, snooping on friends.
ENI, can I just say how happy I am that you didn't start your video with 'salutations'. You're just better than that.
i dont think it will require traditional 2D or 3D nozzel, its more like a space craft that has small nozzels on the body and be used for changing directions, more efficient
The Chengdu 6th Gen is NOT the "White Emperor", the white emperor at the Zhuhai Air show was just a mock up of a game model.
@canismajoris3910 well, u r quite right. Probably they are building more than two 6th generation stealth supersonic jet fighters at the same time.
5th gen fighters like F22 or F35 cannot even touch it on such high altitude and high speed, with enhanced stealth capability.
the bigger one is actually a long range supersonic bomber it means they postponed h20 bomber or give it up.

HEY HEY! Bruh don't be like that, it took a lot of chop sticks and duct tape to stick that kite on to three old migs.
Yup
Nah I’m calling you out if this was uk or USA tech you’d all be mocking China etc…
@@riccccccardo Naw. Nobody cares about when USA shows upgrades. Not even americans, unfortunately.
So when Biden is leaking, he gains a capability? I think i understand now. It's not always what they want though.
What we know so far about China's military aircraft:
Chengdu J-20: Despite its advanced stealth design, it struggles with engine reliability and performance compared to Western equivalents.
Shenyang J-16: While a capable multirole fighter, it inherits some of the Su-27's limitations, particularly in terms of radar and electronic warfare systems when compared to newer Western fighter jets.
This new delta: Got off the ground and landed without crashing.
Where is the 5th generation at?! We just can't skip around China 😂
Have you not looked at news about Chinas development for 10+ years? Chinas 5th gen fighter is J20 and J35. Its estimated at least 300 J20s are in service, it has existed for many years now.
這些發言也太抽象了
time to wake up from the Middle age
A flying object like Anka 3. How will we see the features of the 6th generation fighter jet? It needs to fly without a pilot. It needs to control, command and assign tasks to many piloted UAVs. It needs to be 100% invisible, etc. etc. The list goes on. Got it, right?
中国🇨🇳👍🇨🇳👍🇨🇳👍🇨🇳👍🇨🇳👍
It was The US who was The First
To Fly a 6th Generation Fighter & Bomber.
I Also Let's Not Forget, that The USAF
Declared Back in 2020
That it Fly Tested a technology Demonstrator
Of The 6th Generation NGAD Fighter
That Beat All Previous established Records
Set by Any of it Previous Fighters,
Now, I'm Quoting Someone Else Here:
"...the US might not have
Doned it In a Flashy way,
But they Nevertheless Did It..."
Again, they were The First.
It took 2 years to design the 747. It's going to take 13 years to get the 777x certified.... American engineering has issues
America has issues! Fullstop!
America needs to bring back the Star Wars project, and really do it this time, not just CGI concept videos. That'll show em.
That shit doesn't work. Or has very little chance to intercept anything. Also. it's hard to replace kinetic kill vehicles in space. Once you used them, they are gone. ($-hegemony won't save you) How many rocket launches to even replace the necessary ones from a single Oreshnik intercept? (36 kill vehicles) 2-6 ?
Da Chen Do Fightah...howevah lol. I can't get over the accent lol.
could be used on type 076 to control the UCAVS once airborne
Remember: it is not the plane, it is the pilot! America needs maverick!
This is not a sixth generation fighter jet at all, it's just a J10 with a new shell, named J10G。
China: If you do not understand peace, then I must teach you what peace means firsthand.🙂
