Merry go rounds, also known as roundabouts, were originally powered by human or animal labor. It wasn’t until the invention of the steam engine that they became more popular and could be found in amusement parks. Merry-go rounds became popular in the early 1900s, and during this time, they were often decorated with mirrors and lights to add to their charm and allure.

Carousels, on the other hand, have a longer history than merry go rounds. The first recorded carousel was created in the 17th century, and they were initially designed as a training tool for knights. Eventually, carousels were created for amusement purposes and were powered by hand, before evolving into steam and electric power in the 1800s. Today, carousels are often ornately decorated with intricate designs and have become a classic staple at many amusement parks.

Great video! I’ve been researching this camera for a long time. Did you use the low light mode in the old mill or was it just standard? Are you using the audio from the camera or do you have a mic? I have the osmo pocket 1 but the zoom doesn’t work too well. I loved the stability and some other things but not the zoom. Thanks for the info and footage. I may get one of these.

Thanks!! I did use the low light setting on the old mill. I am using the "DJI mic 2". It's pretty slick, no receiver needed, you just turn it on and it automatically pairs. The zoom isn't great on this one either (I think only a 2x). I did have to jump through some hoops to get it in the park. Staff thought it was a selfie stick and I eventually had to get one of the heads to inspect it and put a tag on it.

Zoom only has a 2x. I started out using my phone but they would constantly overheat if filming in 4k for longer than a minute or two.

I was looking into that camera. The color looks good. Does it has a balancing gimbal???

The camera has a permanent gimbal attached to it and has INCREDIBLE stabilization! I didn't use any stabilization enhancements in editing and I was purposely being a little erratic with how I was holding it to see how it would handle it. Also no filters, everything was in 'auto' mode.
