Just saw one here days ago towing a trailer with a side by side, yet immediately getting up to speed from a dig at the 4-way stop. He had to be going 60 in a 25 … all I could do was laugh and cheer him on as he passed by 🔥

been a car guy forever. And really don’t like mall crawling Wranglers, but this is the exception. Sounds great, looks cool, street speed fun. So many good things. Would just be scared of tipping in this thing because its so high and pretty narrow.

Yeah I could see this being like an option on a standard rubicon that costs 5k or so, but this massive premium is ridiculous.
@@disophisis It is, but you absolutely don't need a giant V8 in a Wrangler. It's purely a toy for the wealthy and a quick cash-grab from Stellantis before they can't sell big V8's anymore. I wish they would have offered a 5.7L hemi option at a $3-5,000 upcharge so you could have torque without dealing with diesel or electricity, but that ship has sailed.
@@DirtyScab Yeah that's a good point. A regular old hemi would make more sense. I have a JK with the 3.6 and honestly it has adequate power anyway so I'm not sure why I'm complaining. I guess if I was running 40s or something the power would be nice.
@@DirtyScab I'm surprised stellantis never stuffed the 5.7 into the wrangler considering the grand cherokee had one for a few years. A 2 door 5.7 would be sweet

I'd love to have new one with the updated dash but it only comes with the red interior.....and it's over $90k. Like he said, it's about $30k over what it should actually cost.
its Dodge, saying 470 or 475... but 485 in the Challenger/Charger Scats, depends on things, headers, intake etc, but they ALL used to fib for car insurance companies back in the 60s/70s... No no it makes 350hp (but ACTUALLY made closer to 500)
Does this accept 91 octane fuel?
The one touch roof is a problem with roof racks, ski racks and especially roof top tents. The acccordian pleats are 7” high requiring tall rack legs.

Great video as always. Too bad Jeep still refuses to fix the underlying paint blistering issues plaguing JL’s since 2018. It’s a deal killer for me ever buying another Jeep again.
This may sound a little heartless but coming from their standpoint of being a car big manufacturer.....they could care less about yourself and everyone that had issues with paint. Why?? They made their money and continue to make money off future buyers. The only time they will care is if there is a class action lawsuit.

Stellantis has started to install zinc plates between the door and the hinge.
@@mini2nut67 that’s a bandaid to help address the blistering at the hinges. That does nothing for the issue of the leading edges of the doors and the leading edge of the hoods that are blistering. Our ‘19 had the issue at all of those places mentioned as do many people.

This is the ultimate small peen energy car out there, not bad but is price like hell.
For me Defender 90/110 are the best to compete with this Jeep, but they fudge up the design , they should keep old school design like Jeep.
Yeah, was at a stop light the other day and took off with what I think was a Jeep 392, least it sounded like this one... Seeing the speedo climb at the pace it did in the video here with a 392 with traction control on/off, makes me feel sad for the guy. Because from about 20 to about 65, we were basically level he maybe had a fender on me... oh right what was I driving? A 20 year old Dakota with the old SOHC 4.7, tuned up a bit making maybe 265hp to the crank now from the OEM 235ish. Imagine that "small peen" energy got even smaller afterword's when he realized he couldnt walk me

I like this interior more than Bronco, but to me exterior of Bronco is better looking.
Search UA-cam. Some guy's new Bronco went kaput while he was off roading up some trail. He went backwards into a tree after losing power and his brakes. You can't make this stuff up.

Wranglers are not worth THAT much money, come on Chrysler/Jeep, get a reality check. Granted it's a nice Wrangler, but still. Also, really dumb on the interior color only can be red on that trim.

For 90k I’d just buy a Lexus GX470
FUN FACT: Jeep make some of the most unreliable vehicles on the road according to Consumer Reports. It's something these youtubers will never know with their 15 minutes in these hand picked press cars.
Jeep doesn't make superbly reliable vehicles, but Consumer Reports is a pretty biased and narrow-minded source. They'd sacrifice 50% fun for 2% more reliability. If you get a base model Wrangler (like you should) then there's very little electronics to fail, which is largely the problem with Jeep. The 3.6L engine is proven. The ZF automatic is great. The big problems are the awful manual transmission (mostly why I sold mine), and dealing with the auxiliary battery (which is a once every few years deal or perform a bypass).
@@DirtyScabJust because CR “would trade 50% fun for 2% of reliability” does not mean that their assessment of the cars reliability is inaccurate or biased. it just means that, at most, they would not explicitly recommend fun cars, which doesnt really have anything to do with the validity of their numbers. if it were the case that anything they saw as fun was considered unreliable, then i could see them as being biased.
also, if you have to get the base barebones model of a car in order for it to be more reliable, thats not really a good thing. they still have a surprising amount of electronics in them despite how barebones they make look or feel anyways. but i also, i believe the only reason one should ever buy a new jeep if they are wanting to get a jeep, is so it comes with a warranty.

Love my '23 Wrangler Sahara 4xe. Been dead solid reliable in the year I've owned it so far. Don't believe everything you read from Consumer Reports.
Fun fact, I don't think the buyer of a jeep 392 cares a whole lot about consumer reports reliability scores. And consumer reports isn't the most useful thing anyways for actual vehicle reliability
