*Super. Phantom.* Never did this series prior make it a speed class accessible as a regular feature, and I feel like they could only do it because the track design of 2048 was wider than ever. As for why it's Super Phantom and not Phantom, I found out that the icons in 2048's HD Fury campaign consider Phantom the equivalent of A Class, B for Rapier and C for Flash, and this is reflected in the Stats page of Omega Collection as well because if you've been playing A+ often, it shows your favourite class as Super Phantom. This explains a lot about how chaotic and speedy it is even with the slowest of ships...
I was always hoping for a higher speed class at some point in the Wipeout series. You can always reach higher classes in Zone, but never in regular racing. And now you can! I guess it makes sense that they introduce a new speed class for 2048. In-game, you are told how 2048 speed classes correspond to HD's speed classes. (This means Venom is D Class, something you can't normally access. There is an icon for it in 2048 Zone though.) Since I mainly play HD and not as much 2048, my favorite speed class is Phantom, and not Super-Phantom. Slow ships feel even slower in A+ due to how ship balancing is. We all know how that worked out.
Currently being filtered hard by the a+ challenges (and some time trials and zones) in 2048 & 49 and haven't got too far in '50 yet due to now only settling for elite passes
At the time, I used to use Autopilots far less often, but these days I'm more likely to use them in situations where I will be able to go faster than if I didn't use an Autopilot. I was also still learning Omega Collection at the time, and I'd say I'm much better at the game today than I was years ago. Still helpful nonetheless!

I got 5th place after two ships were killed and claimed victory. LOL
These challenges are insane. Well done mate.
Thank you! I also made things more difficult for myself by using the Auricom Speed, one of my favorite 2048 ships.
You don't know the HALF of it! These challenges are a F*CKING NIGHTMARE!!!

You should've used that Autopilot at 2:15 instead. It's a big help in navigating skill-cuts.

This is impossible. 10 laps and ended up in 8th 🤣🤣🤣 I have finished all wipeout games but maybe I’m getting old or have less patience 😂
