    This us very helpful. Thank you. Just a warning about the velcro strips. I used them for some frames photos. They worked great for about 5 years. Then they came off the wall.

      Yes They are time limited. Like all glue products, they do eventually dry out and fall off.

      I don’t make much jewelry. I love the one I wear all the time the most as it’s a piece of sea glass my hubby found a number of years ago. I do wrap pieces for people once and a while.

    Thanks for ideas! I always feel these are made to show light thru. But I dont trust suction cups. I have one in my shower but every so often I find it came undone overnight and is sitting on the shower floor.

      Thanks for sharing that. Suction cups are only good for really small pieces and likely not in a humid environment like a shower.

      @@maryhalaay If your window frame is wood, I'd screw cup hooks in to hang it from. If it's vinyl, I would use the velcro product. Good luck

      @@SeaGlassArtbyJackie If you have done any other projects/crafts with sea glass, that would be fun to see a video on. Maybe something you have done for yourself for your home. Maybe you have made a wreath or glued them on something different like a bottle? I adore sea glass and live at the beach so I am always looking for other ways to use it*

    Hi, Jackie: I have a stained-glass window with a metal frame. It's about the same size as your six-framed window pieced. It has two welded openings on the top of the frame, and the only type of chain that works is very small. I got this from someone and can't really ask them how they hung it. I'm really afraid to try to hang it as the piece is very heavy. I'm wondering if I need to have a wood frame built around it. Any suggestions?

    • @SeaGlassArtbyJackie
      @SeaGlassArtbyJackie  Рік тому +1

      It's hard to tell without seeing it. But I would suggest you weigh it and go the hardware store with the size of the welded openings and ask if there is a chain strong enough to take that weight. Small chains can be very strong. They may suggest building the wooden frame, but it may work without doing that.
      Also consider where you're hanging it re. the amount of sun or movement of opening doors or windows. good luck.

    Don't use suction cups in areas exposed to extreme heat. Mine fell. Luckily the wood blindcaught it or it would have been destroyed.

      Thanks for sharing that tip. Also only use suction cups on very small pieces.
