Great work! just moved into my first proper place and these videos teach me new things all the time. Thank you!
Nice neat job, finished result looks great - but you did that British thing that we all do .."350mm long"..."180mm long".."I have some melamine 1" thick"..
Just love our mixed measurements ;-)
+Andrew Sanderson haha yep! Sometimes it's easier to say an inch rather than 254mm but I prefer metric on the whole
That spacer block to mark the walls is a neat little trick that I am definitely borrowing
Nice idea. Desire is a great album btw.
Very nice use for a space like that! Job well done!
Looks very smart. well done!
wow. nice project. makes such a difference to that otherwise wasted space. really nice
Nice (and frugal) work as always!
+Tim Royal cheers Tim
great work, well done buddy
awesome video buddy.
I did a similar project about 6 weeks ago.
keep up the great work.
Nice work. 👍🏻
just watched your alcove shelves project again, and you did a good job of it,have you got any more projects coming out in the near future? I hope so,your vidios are always a good view, easy on the eye, take care and hope you stayed in good health.
I created some similar shelves. To get the angle i cut a rectangular piece of cardboard the width of the space then used a straight edge to mark the front. I cut this out and used it as a template to mark the material for the shelves without requiring any math.
+Scott Weidemann a great method, as long as you have a big bit of cardboard
Great video. I would have to paint the shelf supports before I put them up as I do not have your steady hand.
Love your style man, easy going, you should put your cat into some of your vids, it does wonders for the view count.
+Mr Frog ok I will!
Nice one fella
Helpful video. But am I missing something? Surely if the side walls are square with the back then you just need to know the side depth measurements then draw a straight line between them to get the angle?
Very cool!
Great video
Im a big Bob Dylan fan also great vid man.
Nice one Keith they look good. One thing though i'm not sure if it's just me, but at the ending part those shelves looked crooked like a 3d illusion? Prob because they are angled shelves gives it that look. Well Done.

Buen trabajo!
Looks great. Nice technique using spacer blocks to place next two shelves. However, I think your shelves were a little too snug lengthwise, which in some cases could cause some walls to develop cracks-especially older plaster walls.
Little late but that would only be an issue with expansion and contraction and melamine doesn't do that
It's great to see someone else using the back of their drill as a hammer.
+Dave Wilkinson haha works every time
Everything has the potential to be used as a hammer!
Did you just use the back of the drill to tap in the raw plug.
+dampwool2000 yeah my hammer was all the way down the bottom of the garden in the workshop haha
lol sounds just like me
great result but so much measuring, you never seen diresta method using masking tape on floor to get exact contour?
+zeroy yep I live by Diresta!! But it wouldn't have worked due to both the skirting board and beading being in the way
Rag 'n' Bone Brown ah yes, good point :) - good job, keep it up man!
Then OCD kicks in and I rip them out of the wall! Nice work though. :)
Love the 80's porno music at the beginning.....
Not good to me.
