@@darrenhilton7895 lol! I don't mind delivering to the Bowie, the Quincy, the Austonian...but some places downtown are super annoying. Do not like west campus. I had one today to a highrise on Rio grande and the address was not the same as the actual building they lived at. Customer was unavailable. Rio grande has a crap ton of highrises all in a row on several blocks. Nightmare 😂

@@mrcarterfx885 yes, in some parts of Texas. There's a city close to the border (Mexico) that has some great bargains. McAllen I think. Wonder how safe it is. Here in Austin I'll be honest, the home prices are ridiculous. 1 million gets you a starter home in many parts 😬

Only way to make $1000 plus doing food delivery is to put in 80+ hours and 800 miles a week. I’ve done it many times and totally not worth it 😢

@@noseefood1943 in a bad market, definitely. It takes less than 50 hours a week for me to hit $1200. Usually 45. That's all the time I spend sitting in the car waiting for orders too. Only way to make more is to cherry pick and to run as many apps and live near wealthy people in a big metro

Its untaxed money, wear n tear on vehicle, no paid vacation, no medical insurance, no 401k etc that makes this type of work unappealing.

@@billargueta5458 yeah bill as a small business owner, 1099 and not w2, it's the responsibility of a business owner to provide themselves with those benefits. You create your own payroll and take care of taxes. Most people are W2 minded and that arrangement is unpleasant. I happen to like being the boss and I love driving and delivery is fun to me. So it works great!

@@AustinRides7264 i understand this as I run a small buisness and do a 1099. That is a deal breaker. Wear and tear on a vehicle is. If a transmission or head gasket goes out you are out if buisness and have a massive expense especially with bidenomics car prices. I am fortunate to het medical insurance thru my wife's job but that would also be a large expense.

When I was doing amazon in Austin the best homes I saw were right there along the river like right around Mt Bonnell. There's some mega mansions out there.

@@nomaderic 💯 I love how the city is just sitting there in the valley of the franklin mountains. Oh man be prepared dude. If you have a zone you always dash in, stick to it. I think doordash gives you more priority in your "home zone" versus constantly switching zones in search of bangers. So for me they always notify me that sunset valley is busy. That seems to be the zone I've done the most in so doordash feels good about giving me ok orders there it seems
