It's great to see a choir sing a more MODERN song ( well 1990), instead of the same hymnals. Refreshing actually, and the MESSAGE is very in tune with something that SHOULD be sung by a Choir . Brilliant arrangement, Brilliant voices... All AROUND Brilliant!

This is super fun and the choir sounds great, but this is just begging for something more than piano to accompany them! It would be fun to hear it with organ instead of piano!
@@thebigragu9952 nope. Nightlight in a bathroom looking at a picture of a lighthouse. I honestly have no idea where you get technology having control over us.
@@thebigragu9952 If you can find evidence in the song for it, it's a legit interpretation and everything is on the table even if Linnell has been explicit that this is about a nightlight singing to the occupant of a room. In The Bradley Scout (April 1994) interview, he does mention man vs. machine but he's talking about the folk hero John Henry, and it's only Linnell so maybe not the one you're thinking of? Do you happen to remember where you read it? I'd like to read it. It could be with John Henry on his mind he started seeing the song in that way. Cheers! :)
I could not be trusted not to sing along, as an audience member.
Same 😂
Bro they actually incorporated the car honk in the bridge. Really well done.
When?

It's great to hear the "round" section of this song sung by a actual choir
I can imagine Flans and Linnell sitting amongst the crowd up in the balcony, observing the choir with a critical eye
This is now on TMBG FB page
Give the people what they want: a full TMBG cover album
This is the most beautiful cover of any song I've ever heard!!!❤❤❤❤
That’s so sweet, thank you! ❤

That is insanely beautiful. It's such a weirdly emotional song considering the subject matter
Weirdest love song ever
@@SanFranDentist94301it's not a love song, it's from the perspective of a nightlight
@@Donut-Eater It is from the Blue canary shaped night light. But, it's still love.
What do you think"Bee in my bonnet" meant?

Or the famous TMBG accordion!
Looks like they have the pipes for it...
I think an orchestral backing arrangement would be awesome.
4 clarinets
I think I'm in love with the conductor... and boy, is he getting a workout or what??
Quads of steel
This song will simply never get old.
Why wasn't choir this cool when I was in it?
Lol
Right?
I know!
Underrated video! Seriously, these guys nail it.
WHY AM I CRYING?!?!? So good.
Coming to a forthcoming Netflix trailer near you!
Well my minds blown!! awesome execution, and attention to detail!
This is one of the best videos ever made
This sounds great!
Phenomenal!
man...if you ever feel down, listen to this!
Beautiful!
OK. Gets awesome about 1:10! Anyone else here from the TMBG fan page?
the finish and applause brought an instant smile to my face
Lovely version of this masterpiece and life anthem
This is so dope 🔥
I just stumbled on this and it is FANTASTIC. It makes me so happy!
Amazing
Beautiful version, thank you. This was my childhood
This is all the brilliance!
You guys sound amazing!
I can’t tell you how happy this makes me - spine chilling! Wonderful. Love it! 😍
To the 2 people who gave this a thumbs down: you must not have a soul!!!
Unless it's John and John. Not that anyone would think it is....
Since the Johns shared it on their FB page, I think they like it.
Or they have no birdhouse in their soul...
Well at least a birdhouse not in their soul?
Search "Birdhouse in Your Soul Yu-Gi-Oh" and thank me later 😉
Really great! Makes me want to listen to TMBG again.
Awesome
The funny Thais that most people in the choir probably didn’t realize that the song is about a nightlight’s prospective.
It’s from a nightlights perspective. It’s about the control technology has over us… partially.

This is made of love and win.
Get that organ on the track!
The instrumental bridge is wonderfully sung, the rest too, of course.
Made me so happy to have found the this.
Wow! Fabulous arrangement of one of my favorite songs. Who made this brilliant arrangement?
Thanks for your kind words! I (Marc, director) arranged this one, and you can buy it here :) thechoirsyyj.com/the-choirs-yyj-shop/

Well this just leaves me feeling very happy.
Awesome!!!
Superb 👏🏼👏🏼
This moved me to actual tears
Love this!
I like this version. From S.Korea.
This is amazing! I wish my choir in High School would have done this, Birdhouse is the song that got me into TMBG. Great job everyone!
For me it was either this one, hot dog or weep day
Probably weep day
For me it was Istanbul, i discovered it on just dance when i was younger and I loved it, still love it to this day.
I stumbled on this and Fn' love it! Good on y'all.
Wish I could see this live
That was epic!
LOVE
Where is this arrangement (SATB) available?
the way it was always meant to be performed :D
yeh, man.
nice but I would add drums and horns and it would sound crazy

Have I died and gone to Heaven!? 🥲❤️

This reminds me of something I saw on Instagram recently... (2:23) instagram.com/p/B7RXdBNpjWn/
Birdhouse in your soul is one of my favorite songs but I don't think it translates to choir music very well.
Not everything needs to be remade like whatever. (See: Africa, Weezer coerced into covering)
I LOVE this song but idk it doesnt sound spectacular or anything.
agree.. the phrasing and some of the people are flat af
I almost commented “yikes” lol
love this song and this band, but this rendition is decidedly ...meh
Awesome!
