I needed this-- I've watched multiple videos on making meshes and I couldn't wrap my head around most of them. I have a few of your other videos saved and they really help me in a pinch. Thank you!

thank you for such a helpful video, so well made and easy to understand! ❤
do you possibly recommend doing the same method you did with the face with hair strands? I've separated them quite a lot and wondered if that method for their artmeshes would be good so the lines distort less when they're animated? thank you again for the amazing tutorial videos!!

absolutely yes! I actually use a similar method for them myself! the key to artmesh is to think "how much is this going to deform?" and "how will the mesh be affected by the deformation?"

I'm quite new, but it seems like for non-complex models the auto-mesh (with minimal editing) does very well. I drew a triangle with stick arms and legs and basic face parts to experiment on (ha! Triangles again!) and the auto-mesh did the arms and legs just like I would have. I'm wondering about animating other objects in Live2D now, like the logo you used. It seems like it's possible to animate a bouncy logo, then feed that into a video editor to add some extra effects, export the transparency and use it as a scene transition or as you did for a video transition after the introduction. If you read this, would you think it's easier or harder to do that kind of simple animation in L2D and export it to a video editor?

i have been making a simple vtuber model (literally a bunny in a style close to hello kitty) and it has been months, MONTHS, since i've started TRYING to mesh it to work, and i haven't even been SLIGHTLY able to do ANYTHING!!! i'm just hoping this one will work, or else i'll just give up entirely

I'll consider it of course! Were you interested in the art behind it or the little animation, or both even?

@@CutieDragon Both of course! Your thought process while designing it, what techniques you used.. :3

Have you tested 5.0 yet? The auto-mesh looks much nicer
