    Thank you for this!! I love the way you rig your ear movements, so this was awesome to see how you set it up! I can’t wait to give this a shot.

    But thanks so much for this tutorial! I'm making a full body model for the first time after my first chibi one and I managed to make some beautiful ear movements! Had to slow down at the sped up parts to see what's going on but everything worked out in the end!

    This is great and we can definitely see the huge improvements since the last tutorial. Can you make a tutorial for expressive tails too some time?

      @CutieDragon  2 роки тому +1

      I do have a video on a dynamic style of tail but I'm actually looking into a new version of that too!

    First, thank you for your videos!!! Should the animation work in the Physics/Scene Blending Settings window? If they are not working what could I check?

    thank you for the tutorial but i'm confused on how the expressive ears parameters were made.. what is the hierarchy here? can you just set up separate parameters to move the same artmesh?

    • @CutieDragon
      @CutieDragon  Рік тому +1

      My general advice is no more than 2 parameters per artmesh/deformer and my hierarchy is Main X/Y/Z movement -> Expression based components (E.g. Ear linking) -> Physics Deformers -> Artmesh
      It's more preferable to seperate the expressive part (for linking to eyebrows for example) to its own deformer/parameter so it won't conflict with anything else

    Hi there! Super excited to try this later when I do my rigging, thank you so so much for taking the time to show this!! 🥰🥰
    Quick question! If the ears are two different colors, say one brown ear and one cream ear, is there any way to still keep the rigging the same on both? 😯
    Thank you and looking forward to future content! ☺️

    • @CutieDragon
      @CutieDragon  Рік тому +1

      You may be able to reflect the deformers if the ears are the same shape but you may encounter some issues if they aren't identical in shape!

    When I export the animation to Vtube Studio, the movement is less pronounced than in Live2d Cubism, like they have limitation. For example, I use a simple rotation deformer for swinging bells, in Cubism, the animation can go to 45 degree angle, but in Studio it is only 10 degree. Is this a problem from how I export it?

    • @tibo6749
      @tibo6749 Рік тому

      I think there are limiters

    • @ChaoCatto
      @ChaoCatto 5 місяців тому +1

      From a different video I've seen, it can actually be caused by vtube studio rather than live2d cubism. The parameters for things like eyes and mouths are also in the studio and you can change the outputs to be more sensitive to your face

    I set up the ears R and L seperate in the physic folders as explained, I added a group for the eye ear blink trigger. (because the blinking parameter was set to 0,1,2) and now only the moving ear physics works OR the ear blinking trigger. WHY? I don't get it!

  • @Sinamuna
    @Sinamuna 25 днів тому +1

    Is there a way to do the ear-brow syncing in VTS? Or do you NEED to do it through L2D? I'm not a rigger and my model doesn't have the sync params set up (I originally requested leaving it out, but now I want them to lower when I scrunch my eyebrows--not when I blink).

    • @CutieDragon
      @CutieDragon  23 дні тому +1

      You can set an ear rotation parameter through VTS! Only thing is the rotation parameter needs to be made in Live2D in order for VTS to use it

    Wouldn't reflect also work on the ears? It looks like so much work.

    • @CutieDragon
      @CutieDragon  2 роки тому +2

      Yup! I do mention it briefly in the video that ordinarily I'd reflect identical ears, but I set up both individually in the video for the best example for those with asymmetrical ears! ^^

    Hello!! Can I clarify on the part when you do the main ear where you stated set the right side to 30. The text show "left: -30 , right:30" but in the video both are set to 30(?) so before I deform anything,do I set it based on the text setting or what you said verbally and shown in the video? Thanks for the clarification in advance 🙇‍♀️

    • @thefaeriealtar

      left and right can't both be 30 LMAO. do left -30 right 30

  • @saberraimu

    I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong because I'm using all the same parameters and ears and set it up (and it works fine when I press play in the animation section of live2d), but the animation does not play at all in vtube studio matter what I do, it literally does nothing. I can't figure out what's going on.

    • @CutieDragon

      Double check the animation is set to the idle in vtubestudio! I sometimes forget to do it so it's easily missed x.x

    Wouldnt sticking the expressive ear into the brows in Cubism produce the same result ?

    • @CutieDragon
      @CutieDragon  2 роки тому

      You can do that too! I just find I have a bit more control doing it through vtubestudio - with editing the outputs/smoothness to suit my needs

    7:50 For some reason my other ear is a bit off to the side, and in the Physics model Settings Angle is 12.. I don't know what I did wrong there tbh

    • @CutieDragon
      @CutieDragon  Рік тому +1

      Oo that's odd, if you need to adjust the position, I'd suggest putting a rotation deformer above it and using that to shift it over then deleting the rotation

      I know this is a late reply, but this is most likely because your eye open parameter is set to 0 to 1.0 instead of -30 to 30. This makes it so when you set the angle normalization input to -30 to 30 it messes with the eye parameter and thinks that 0 on eye open is instead -30 and that it is at an angle when it's open, which it is not. I fixed it by making a new group for the eye triggered ear movement and setting the maximum angle input to 0, hope this helps!

  • @unknownxx9842
    @unknownxx9842 2 роки тому +1

    When I set the EyeL Angle to 40 it skews the pendulum and throws everything off? Is there a setting or something to make it not do that, because even if I open a new model entirely it throws it off kilter.
