- Here's my explanation on how to effectively do your kickoffs in Rocket League Sideswipe! As of making this I am the #1 player globally for 2s, but I'm sure that won't stay for long. Whatever the case, I have been asked many times to make a video on how to kickoff, so here it is.

Question dude - is Controller objectively superior to using the touch screen on the phone?
Not really, like they are in many ways the same. Several GC players are on touch, and it's absolutely competitive. Most people play touch ,but some like myself just prefer the controller

I've seen quite a few people in discord having this issue but I have no idea what actually causes it. Try restarting, swapping between wifi and data, etc.
That happens to me when I’m on data, but when I’m on wifi it works fine

rn im a plat 5 so idk if this works in higher ranks...but i usually stay back(with the occasional full send to not let them predict what i do) and when i do stay back....ill stay on the ground...and if the ball doesnt fly up and stays on the ground...i hit it without flipping or anything and itll fly up hopefully towards the goal...im a very defensive player so i dont think itll work in higher ranks but its been pretty good to me

i am in gold 2 and i cant Even pick up the ball from ground there's not much info on the yt for it and i keep missing free net goals even and literally most of the UA-camrs are playing with controllers 🗿 ..
What about the kickoffs whare the ball just gos strate at the gole and the other player doesn't have the opportunity to do everything

Is airrolling essential in sideswipe?
The 180 degree spin is certainly useful for when you are going for a reset or just need a slightly different touch on the ball, but the full on air rolling is basically just style points. In theory it can be practical because of the extra movement but nobody is refined enough yet for that to make a real difference. I would personally recommend not bothering with it, especially on touch, until you are solid with just normal air dribbles and chain resets and stuff

What if we’re actually playing on mobile and not using a controller which is the whole point of it being mobile not to use a controller
The game is made specifically with controller in mind. Touch is basically the exact same except virtual joystick and buttons instead of physical. Some of the top players are on touch.
Would anyone know why when I use a controller, my boost holds down on its own a sometimes it doesn’t jump
And how to fix it
I've seen a couple people talk about this, but I get the feeling its actually a physical controller issue. I guess its also possible if your device is laggy that it doesnt detect you lifting the button, but I'm not sure. I haven't had it happen to me personally.

yes you just do a basic front flip, gets a solid 50 and makes sure you dont go flying!

I've been seeing this stupid kickoff where they just point their car facing up and trap the ball, I like to just fake kickoff if I have someone that is doing that and it'll work most of the time (not not always), have you found a better way to counter this?

Hello I just got to diamond and I have a question. Will I receive the diamond badge/tag at the end of seoson even if I don’t have 10 wins in that league. Also I am wondering since I only have doubles diamond 1 and the rest platinum 1 will I receive the diamond badge or platinum? Will I need 10 wins like rocket league requires?

How do you feel abut the pancake kickoff? Do you think it works or it's ineffective?
It works well in lower ranks, but you'll want to phase it out for higher level games. I've been using this kickoff my entire time playing the game without issues, so of course I'll be recommending it, but pancake would work in like plat and below I guess

Why do you use the merc it’s hit box is smaller than the majority of the merc skin making it harder to know where the hit box is
All hitboxes are the same and I just like using it, works for me
So its not about the kickoff, its about abusing the use of a controller

Hey what do you think is better playing kn phone or pc?
Pc has some advantages like lower latency and a bigger screen but phone lets you do the 180 air roll, for some reason doesn't work on pc. No big deal but is a difference. Personally I play on pc mainly for the big screen

You can press both at the same time
Best way is to got onto the joystick placement and just over lap slightly in the middle of boost and jump buttons
