I most definitely have all 4 issues of this mini series. And if I remember I was pretty much excited about this series & art work. Great comicbook review
Oh and Brett has been the regular artist on Spawn for over a year, before that he did a couple years on Gunslinger Spawn. He is drawing more comics now than he ever did before.
Kindred was the talk around my class back then. Always saying it was a great book. Missed out on it to be honest and I had no idea on the hype. But I did manage to get issue 4 and from what I remembered it had someone from Team 7 and all. I think this series was a set up for Backlash's own series and I gotta admit; thanks to my classmates back then I was introduced to Brett Booth. By the way I think Brett Booth recently did some work on Gunslinger Spawn though I don't know which issues was he involved with.
I did some inking on issue 4 while I was still in my 'internship' period at WS. They were not good. LOL BTW --- doesn't say "Wildstorm" because that name was BRAND NEW at the time.
7:28 Any bullshit like that gets IMMEDIATELY torn out of my books. It's like a fucking bookmark that you can't move otherwise! I really hate shit like that. Don't try to distract me with stupid gimmicks --- just write and draw solid material.
I really dug backlashs charachter design and powers, and once he got his own book, booth art was more his own rarher than just a lee clone. I will say the character never seemed to develop much depth to me.

Absolutely love the videos
10:44 There WAS a Spider-man/Backlash crossover -- with pencils by Booth and inks by Tom McWeeney. Great inking from Tom on that stuff.
the second mini series, Kindred 2, is really good. Brett's art greatly improves.
Nice shit ! 👍🏻 it !

I don't remember this comic. I do remember that TV show Kindred: The Embraced. I guess hot vampires trump a goofy comic any day 😂

I love listening to your stories about working at Wildstorm. It's like listening to a veteran telling old war stories 😎
@@MrDman21 --- Well there was that one time Jim Lee and I charged a machine gun nest... 🤣🤣🤣

One thing consistent about Image books is the inconsistency. Did the wheelchair bound friend lose his beard on the page where Grifter comes in?
Lol the slats thru which grifter can clearly be seen
