Omg that die hard was drawn the same angle as that Youngblood piece I’ve been drawing on stream, lol. You shoulda done this video a week ago so I could reference it! 😜
11:00 all the money made from sales of this was a bit over 1 MILLION dollars and Rob Liefeld cut a check for the same amount and gave it to Jack Kirby along with the original art.
This was a brutal review. As usual. lol I'm sure I still have this one and the others issues of Inside IMAGE comics. I loved reading the "inside scoop" back then. Also seeing the artwork in black and white.
Someone of Spielberg’s caliber (also Cruise) has a production office with people dedicated to search and evaluate possible film projects and it’s a shit ton of them, maybe they have their eye on 200 scripts simultaneously, they may even option something and Spielberg himself may not be aware and who knows when anything will reach Spielberg’s desk before graduating to development hell. Liefeld says he met uncle Steven, which may be true, but I would bet that Spielberg remembers nothing worthwhile from Doom’s IV or even Rob himself.
Love your reviews, but man did I hate books like this as a kid. I bought comics for the stories and art, and while I appreciate the details and behind the scenes stuff in things like Wizard magazine, I was always annoyed to see a new Image book that is just talking about themselves. Basically me paying them to advertise to me.
Interesting how there’s no Nirvana on the list, musta been too mainstream for such an edge lord as them what penned those quips, when this was less than a year out from Cobain’s final event.
Nirvana were huge, really fast changed music and then with all the other bands suddenly out there- Nirvana were in the background until unplugged and then Kurt's unexpected death. It was so sad- I remember where i was when i heard the news .
"written by Alan Moore" before he lost his damn mind 😂
Union, I remember back in 93 I had a character called Konflict...it went nowhere of course 😂

that Bloodstrike 3 cover is homage/swipe(?) of Barry Windsor Smith' Daredevil cover

Rob was invited to Spielberg's son's, Max, birthday party. He would remember Rob. 😑
Nice

I never got into image. I thought most of the art was terrible.
