I was at the concert and enjoyed every moment. Thank you for a phenomenal performance 👍
Thank you for coming! Glad you enjoyed it! ❤️
@@TiffanyPoonpianist i also came. great repertoire and playing.
My friend and I came up to see you Tiffany. You were absolutely phenomenal, the Ravel was the best I’ve ever heard.
Nobody would ever have guessed that you were feeling under the weather whilst you were playing!
Also, you know you’ve made it as a pianist when you get 4 pianos with 2 actions each to choose from 😂😂
🥹🙏
I love the retrospective photos of Tiffany the little kid next to the grown up Tiffany. Such a testament to your dedication and how you continue to KEEP STRIVING! ❤🎉
I loved the edit on this one! The piano decision, cutting in little Tiffany playing the same piece, the soft outro with the lovely animals... All the feels 😺. Thank you for your continued efforts in sharing your journey with us.
From personal experience, dissociation on stage was a quite frightening for me, and to see that you have experienced that as well makes me less insecure about my experience. We are all human and Im so thankful that you share your personal experiences with us. ❤️
The piano you chose indeed has such a bright and dynamic tone, delightful!! It's surprising how different pianos even from the same brands can be so different. I guess part of it has a to do with the action, the state of the felt on the hammers? Anyways exciting! And you play the music so beautifully...so nice to hear many familiar pieces playex expertly!
I went to your London debut and it was truly amazing!!! Please do come and perform in London again ❤
So interesting to see the piano selection!! Thanks for sharing these behind the scenes with us
I was so excited when you came to London! I wasn't sure what to expect but I have to say your ravel was outstanding. As it built every noise in the hall fell away and as I was swept along I saw the stage shifting and warping, as if you were on the ocean. It was an experience like no other and is a testament to your virtuosity. It goes to show how a live performance can transcend any other experience. I hope you come back to London again!
dear Tiffany, aww so sorry to hear you were sick, but to me it feels that musically you were in excellent shape!
thanks so much for another beautiful pre-concert video.
Can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate this video! This sequence of choosing the right piano, tipping us off to what you're thinking and hearing educated me and I found myself nodding and understanding. That felt so good to be back into the music again, from this esoteric yet essential level. I also found myself moved, feeling what you felt, feeling what you went through, the little flashbacks to the little you, the feelings about the homemade congee... Well. Moved. I do so love hearing music from the inside, the way you do these things for us.
I was there and would never have noticed you were sick (until you mentioned you’d lost your voice at the end) - you did great!
Congratulations and thank you for taking us along for the ride!
I briefly worked as a small venue sound set-up guy for minor-league pop/jazz gigs. I also played drums, often w/partial house drum kits (especially while on the road). And was a record label touring band manager for a minor artist. I really appreciate the whole potential "saga" of decision-making/etc... involved in meeting the instrument you must play just before your performance! Very impressive.
Amazing video. I also very much liked the piano comparison part. I would love more videos focused on this part of preparation for a concert.
Thank you,
Michael
Beautiful piano music with Tiffany ! I would have been very happy to go to the concert. Schumann 'Papillon' and Ravel 'Valse' exquisite and well chosen Chopin and Bach. I should send you flowers !
I hope that you liked London as much as London liked you.
Perhaps one day you will be back here to appear in the Proms, before what is arguably the most enthusiastic classical music audience.
🙏🙇🏻♀️🤞❤️🇬🇧
Good job! Made me cry by the end. I'm sorry you were sick. I hope you feel better. Beautiful debut in London. Thanks for filming and sharing.
My school’s music department piano was a Danemann. Haven’t played one in over ten years!
Saw you at Southbank - your preludes were impeccable. Loved the whole performance and very happy to finally get to see you live.
I came to see this concert - you were a delight to listen to!
Thank you for coming! :)
Dear Tiffany, You poor lady, catching that dreadful Cold just before the concert. But great professional that you are you seem to have aced it. I would love to have been there. I’ve followed your progress off and on since your Juilliard days. This video was brilliant. Thank-you for hours of enjoyment watching and listening to your mastery of the bestest of all the musical instruments.
Oooh well done. I enjoyed your vlog, especially all the musicy bits with commentary. I felt so sorry for you getting that cold right at the wrong time!
Tiffany pond ❤❤
Thank you for sharing
Steiway Grand piano And Yamaha Grand
Sound is Beautiful and amazing
God bless
❤❤❤❤❤
Such a different focus from Dublin. Doubt free, focus is on the hall, choosing the right piano, getting the set up just right, so that you can perform your program confidently. And apparently you succeeded much to the delight of your audience. Wish I could have attended. Congrats Tiffany! On to Amsterdam!
You sound great. Thanks for producing and sharing with the world.
Sólo puedo soñar con escucharla en vivo. Saludos desde Colombia
Bravo ma belle pianiste! What courage and concentration despite this flu! I hear more Chopin less Schumann. A ravel, here's a piece that fits you like a glove. I find that you have this delicacy and sensitivity for more French repertoire, Debussy (petite suite), and perhaps le carnaval des animaux of St-Saēns. I follow your career progress and send you my wishes of success. Bravo ma belle!
🙏👂👀😊
So gutted I missed you!
Oh my goodness I didnt know you got dizzy and almost fainted on the morning of the debut. This makes me appreciate the concert 100x more cos you did amazingly despite what you went through. Praise Jesus!
I saw You in Amersfoort, good luck dear Tiffany,You are the best!🥰😍🤩
😱🙈 Say hi next time! 🙏
Wonderful experience, thanks for sharing
I absolutely love these videos! They always brighten my day so much, and not only make me so happy to see you living your dream, but also gives me hope that as a young musician(16yrs-Classical+jazz guitar), I too someday May live my dream! I truly hope to be able to see you perform live someday! Thanks for everything!
Hey just stumbled upon ur channel and really like it! Even got a little nervous as the debut approached closer lmao. Feels so real. Keep rocking on!
My favourite concert
Oh wow. It's a beautiful cinema.
I was there, enjoyed every piece to the most, congrats!
Wiedermal so ein wunderbares Video. Vielen Dank!
What a cute rabbit in the end 🐰💗 Tiffany you’re amazing!
I appreciate that you're a very busy lady - and I simply adore your latest Schumann release; a more spiritually satisfying recording of the Op. 15 Kinderszenen I have yet to hear! - but I would like to make a humble suggestion for a future recording, if I may be so bold. The only recording of Schumann's Piano Sonata No. 1 that is worth listening to, IMHO, was by Annie Fischer... but that was recorded many moons ago and she preferred live recordings to anything "studio-bound" as she put it. It's a very beautiful and youthful little piece of pianistic enchantment that really needs a modern interpretation to make its magic more widely known... and I think you are just the Schumann devotee to make it happen. All the very best to you... and I simply can't wait for your next release! Impatiently waiting, M. Lee Davis
Some really great, informative and picturesque edits in this video. Loved the inserts of when you were small!
You speak sooo well !! Too 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
How I wish I could have taken you for dinner in London while you were here!! Amazing vid, I hope you had a great time here
Best piano performance ive ever seen
In a fugues Exposition the first theme always appears in the tonic as the subject (in German it’s called "dux" , which is Latin for leader) and is then followed by a second theme-entrance , the answer, on the dominant ( in German it’s called the "comes" (Latin for companion)). The comes/ answer imitates the theme of the dux either "real" (exactly the same Intervalls as in the dux, just one fifth above) or tonal (slightly different Intervalls, so that the answer stays in the same key). Usually the other voices follow again in the tonic or dominant, the exposition is complete, when each voice has had one entrance.
london is the best city ever
You're so skilled, wow
It was fun guessing which option you chose among the myriad of options you were given while watching you try them all out. The differences were actually pretty perceptible.
Glad to see all went well, even though you were under the weather. Fighting the urge to cough, which disrupts flow, must have been a struggle. Surely the congee soup your parents gave you was the much-needed warm relief to get through it. Good luck with your next concert.
Well done, I liked that you stuck with Steinway. The old saying ‘you gotta dance with the one that brung ya’.
19:12 what a gorgeous sixties pop-art design!
I love this place immediately.
the cat was a sister at heart. (or was it a brother?)
the ducks and swans and other animals are some spiritual part of the dharma in this, like the Totem animals to the native Americans.
they make me feel good and soothed.
Tiffany - that was really amazing. My son has been following you and really admire your playing and personality. I hope you can look him up - Haru Mikawa. He currently does his own original composition.
한국엔 언제 오나요?..
When you come to concert in Korea?😅
When will you come play in Los Angeles?
🤞🤞
It was super fun meeting you and listening to you play
SHARING IS CARING.

they would agree... you were the amazing one
Hai Tiffany, I’ve been waiting for your behind the scenes of your Amsterdam concert, is it coming? I was there and enjoying it a lot!! 🎶💓
Thank youuu - tomorrow 😉
@@TiffanyPoonpianist Look forward 💓🎶🎶🍀
Hope you will get better soon. See you in Amsterdam. We're looking forward to it.
Catch you soon!
I am not there but my aunt and my cousin are there,I hope i could see you🦋✨️
You were great Tiffany. 🙂
wish i was at this sounds great
amazing! binging the vlogs now 😂
I AM GLAD FOR YOU THAT YOU DID WELL AT THE CONCERT. IF YOU HAVE AN ORANGE A DAY IT WILL HELP KEEP COLDS AND FLU AWAY. ORANGES HAVE SOMETHING SPECIAL IN THEM WHICH DOES HELP PREVENT COLDS AND FLU. I LEARNT THIS FROM MY MOTHER MANY YEARS AGO.
Apologies for the late comment, but I was there at the concert and enjoyed it very much! Unfortunately I couldn’t make it to the CD signing as I had jury duty (murder and kidnapping charges, we ruled guilty). Was definitely worth the commute in and out of London 👍🏴
Any plans to include Medtner in a future recital?
can you please play John Cage's 4'33 in one of your concerts? I love this piece
🌁LONDON☁💧☔⛅🌂
Playlist of this concert,
please...👂😐👂...
Stay healthy!...
You said your parents made you congee. Did they fly to London ? They will be so proud of you.
Hong kong , hong kong , hong kong , hong kong
When’s the concert? Did I miss it?
I have a question about the rights: who owns the rights to the London performance? Will the “rights owner” put the performance online one day?
wow! I love this radio station. Congrats. Please take care & try to eat well (its expensive in London), don't faint. Interesting way of learning your pieces ... haha. Nice piece tho.
I always love your travel & food vlog bits (and all the animal friends 🦆🦢🐈⬛🐇🥰)
Blind pursuit of classical revival is a dangerous thing
It is right that scholars who study classical literature in the United States are not part of the mainstream of society and culture. The United States is a country that values technological innovation and individualistic culture.
The essence of tradition is a kind of imprisonment in thought
Why should be dangerous? 🤨
You may want to consider upping your vitamin d3 supplementation a week or so before concert dates. Glad you were able to endure through it all, though.💛🐦
you needed a Fazioli on that stage!
3:20-3:21
Pls play blackpink shutdown 🙏
I wonder, have you ever been to Japan and South Korea?
Not yet! 🤞
I guessed you getting B2 without finishing watching till 13:00
Tiffany ~ Is your MBTI Type INFP?🤣
4:02 , chopin thought schumann's work was terrible, which is quite surprising
Interesting, since Chopin dedicated Ballade #2 to Schumann.
Noice
I would "get ready" with the impressive & outstanding Tiffany any time! 👍(Where can we see a video of the London debut?)
En passant.. see
YOU PLAYED GRAND GALOP CHROMATIQUE AT THE AGE OF 12?!???!?!? Liszt pieces are not safe from children 😭
01:17 On behalf of everyone in the UK, Tiffany, can I apologise for the terrible state of the piano that the BBC made available to you! I've seen better public-play pianos in railway stations and outside shops!
Hi Tiffany. Congrats on your success. However, clever, talented and accomplished artists like you don't spend their time making debutS... A debut is the first public appearence, period; it's supposed to mark the special moment a musician transitions into "artisthood". Then what you do next is "playing for the first time" in whatever new place you may go to. You know, you did prove your worth in so many situations before. Thou shalt not make it sound like thou art somehow
underrating yourself.

Darling Tiffany,...You must more,.. Attend u Self,... Not So much Piano.
These videos are so up close and personal, so intimate. Greatly appreciated 😊😅
Love this video Tiffany, so interesting to see your process in selecting the piano and the depth of critique you brought to the process. You made a very wise choice and tamed the piano beautifully during the concert. I think your performance of la valse will live in my memory always, simply outstanding. Great saying hello to you afterwards despite having to run for my train home (well worth it!). Please come back to the UK soon (try up north, lots of great places here!).
Aww I don't know why exactly, I teared up watching this ❤ 🎉 Congratulations!
Aww thank you for following my journey 🥰
As a boy I had the joy of playing on our own Steinway at home, and I will never forget the force and power of the low end and the pearly mid highs, so I was saying "A1 A1" as you were picking your piano, but you chose wiser for such a large hall. It's interesting how much you listen to each instrument and the hall as well and talk to them. It's like a dialogue, or a dance.
That sounds amazing... I want the opportunity to play on a Steinway so bad... one day!
Sean Rafferty is a wonderful broadcaster - aswell as being a good interviewer, he has made a real point on In Tune of providing encouragement and exposure to young and interesting artists, for decades now. We are lucky to have him.
Wonderful to hear you on Radio 3! Only the very best musicians are invited onto the 'In Tune' programme - Sean Rafferty is a great presenter and very good at introducing young artists to a wider audience.
I'm so annoyed I won't be able to attend the Amsterdam debut...
They've got you a great venue though. The Muziekgebouw is very nice (try to get as high up as they'll let you to see the sunset). Just get/keep the Concertgebouw on your list of venue to play.
Hi Tiffany! I know you probably don’t take requests but could you PLEASE learn op 24 no 2 mazurka in C major by chopin? Its a very beautiful and short piece!
Really enjoyed the piano selection! Great editing, and could really hear the differences.
This was a fantastic video! Thank you for sharing and congratulations on your performance! I find it so admirable that you were so strong through your cold, I can’t work and be sick! You have super powers! 🙌🙌
