I love doing my own website! I honestly don't know if COULD let someone else do it. I enjoy it so much.

Solid insights on the team vs. solopreneur debate. For entrepreneurs considering a team, remember that a lean approach with a focus on high-impact hires can often yield better ROI than a larger team that's not as aligned with your business goals. Keep it strategic and growth-oriented.

I recently read Company of One as well and it definitely solidified that I do not want full time employees/a big team (and I laughed when you talked about having big employee retreats - definite no for me lol!) but I have embraced delegating and having some part-time help over the past couple years that has really helped give me back some time.

Loved this episode! Thanks for a peak behind the curtains on how you've been running your biz. Trying to grow a biz had been a bit challenging for me. My entire life I've always been the "Robin" to someone else's "Batman". I'm VERY good at being the number 2 and the catch all and simplification to making this easier for the number 1 to comprehend and deal with. Doing this on my own now, it feels so foreign to me. It shouldn't, but I think the mindset of knowing I could take more risk as the number 2 since I wasn't at the top of the food chain is hurting me now. I've been encouraged by so many people in my life to keep going. Hearing that I'm a natural leader or so inspirational that others flock to me ends up messing with my head. Giving off this impression while feeling something completely different in my mind is challenging. Any way, thanks again for this week's episode!

I understand what you're saying. Despite having had an 11-year career as a solopreneur-a small entrepreneur-I've consistently delivered better results and felt better when invited to participate as a non-leading partner in other projects. I believe there should be a personalized formula for each individual that best suits them.

I’m so happy you made this video because as an introverted designer, at my school the director keeps saying that working with and sound people as a designer is necessary, and you’ll never make it if you can’t be a “people person”.
People also have expressed hate for the idea of being a “lone wolf” as far as being a lifestyle choice. I love being alone, working alone and going off of my own energy, with some interaction from time to time.

Love this video topic Latasha!! This is something I’m currently battling because it would be soooo nice to have help with my community, my socials, video editing and creation, a personal assistant, etc.
But on the other hand, Ive been doing well as a solo entrepreneur!
This tug of the two is something we all relate to❤

Thank you for this video! The ideas were helpful. In my journey so far I've found that figuring out what your necessary systems are is very important, especially when it comes to knowing how many and what kinds of helpers you may need. Depending on who you choose to serve and how you choose to serve them (one on one, course, group coaching, done for you services, etc) makes a big difference in how much support you may need. But I really feel that knowing yourself and not getting caught up in the hyped version of working for yourself that many use to get more sales will help to keep you from having more supporting staff than you need. And in your case as you enjoy and are good at doing some things that others might need someone else to do you are enjoying a great experience as a solopreneur.
I wish I had gotten VA support earlier in my journey and spent less on other events/programs. I think it takes time to figure out your offer and what areas create the most results. I look forward to learning more from you.

Thank you so much for your honest sharing. 😍Your video reached me just in time when I was contemplating that I definitely didn't want to return to the agency format, where 5-7 people were working for me every single day. There are formulas for growing income without increasing headcount. Nowadays, with all the services available to automate our businesses, it's more than possible. It was incredibly helpful for me to see that other solopreneurs don't tend to operate with huge teams.

I remember scaling back my team and it was so freeing. A VA or Operations Coordinator would be the consistent employee I’d keep on board like yourself.

I love what you did @9:45 😂 I appreciate your thought about being a solopreneur. I have always been on the edge. I want to grow to the scale where I can try working with a team and alone. Then choose from there.
My ultimate goal is to be able to provide my parents.

I prefer working with a team because it gives me someone to work for, a reason to actually build my business in a more structured way. Having someone else who depends on whether I'm showing up and I'm doing my part keeps me on track as opposed to doing nothing that moves the needle when it's just me.

The day time TV goal is fun. Mine was to get paid to write stiff from home. I never have to commute to an office ever again unless I'm visiting a client. I also came to a point where I decided the empire can wait. I just wanna make enough to buy any book I want and to retire my mom.

I'm definitely more solopreneur and that's been the "north star" ever since I've had thoughts about leaving the 9-5 world. The goal is to invest for my main source of income and have supplemental solopreneur projects on the side in things that I'm at least somewhat passionate about. I'm open to hiring freelance for help. I've done that a couple times and that was cool. But to operate a business with employees just feels exhausting just thinking about it. lol

Girl, I have been watching you for years! I bought your course and everything but sadly never went through with it. I lacked confidence and couldn't speak as well as you do. My dream was to also watch TV 😂 which is why I knew I liked your content. Crazy how many years passed and did absolutely nothing with your information. When you pop up on my feed, I be getting all sad, lol. You're awesome, though ❤ "I actually did it myself, yeahhh" 😂
