I just bought a NA3605 Nakamichi. Problem is as I'm drive with the maps on and radio playing. The radio / music drowns out the turn by turn directions. The installer even can't figure it out. PLEASE HELP !!!!
I just installed a NA3605 and even though both the constant power and switched power are wired correctly it doesn't keep the date or time. I tried reversing them just in case and after doing that it would not keep any settings. Put it back and its back to losing just the date and time. Any ideas? Is there a firmware update? I waited a long time to install it so I can't send it back.
I got this head unit a couple weeks ago however, I can’t seem to get the steering wheel control to work. I e-mailed Nakamichi but never heard back from them. Sucks that they don’t offer support.
@@mustseenow991 Late I know, I also am not a fan of touchscreen in the dash. The Kenwood 501BT is fantastic for double-din. Layout is nice. For single, Kenwood KDC-BT34. Wish Nakamichi had a physical double-din and their CD receivers don't have a nice layout like the Kenwood line.
Hey, i hooked up the steering wires to mine, i think it depends on your vehicle. I used a volt meter to test the wires behind the dash when i removed the stock deck. There was only 2 extra wires, one was a ground and one was 4v. When i tested the 4v wire, i pressed the steering wheel controls buttons one at a time. I have 4 buttons: source, volume up, volume down, and mute. Each button while pressed showed less then 4v, and each button was different. Say 1.4v, then 2v, then 3v, and 3.5v for example. So i knew that was the wire to use. I connected it to the first steering wheel wire, (brown i think?) and the ground to the ground. Once i opened up the SWC settings it was pretty easy to program. Just press the one you want to program on the deck, it highlights, then press the button on your wheel you want to use for that function. And highlight the next one you want to activate, then press the button on the wheel.....then save at the end. I used a button for song advance, vol up, vol down, and mute. Hope that helps. Curtis.
Nakamichi.com has a better Manual then the one in the box. I seen something on there about steering wheel wires. Also super important you ground the pink wire if you want Android Auto/Apple car play to work. Otherwise such a good deck.
I have a Power Acoustik CPAA-70D and it's absolute garbage. When stereo shopping some9ne introduced me to this Nakamichi stereo. So I looked it up and the format looks the same. Are the products related?
I got this deck and Installed it but I can't figure out how to get the capacitive buttons to light up? Is there something in missing it must have lights how can you see the controls at night
You must connect the illumination wire (orange/white) behind the radio, you can connect to the illumination circuit on the vehicle or connec to ACC (accessory).
just bought my wife a 2021 jeep wrangler unlimited, will the factory installed backup camera still work as it does now when i have this installed? Sometimes thats an issue ive read,
This radio, and all other standard double din radios will not work in the 2021 Wrangler (there isn't enought depth to mount it). You need a modular radio such as the Pioneer DMH series, and a special moutning bracket to make these work in your Jeep. As far as I know, the factory camera can be retained with an interface although there may may be a chance you need to replace it with aftermarket. But again, this Nakamichi will not work in a 2021 Wrangler.
The problem that i have with Nakamichi is if you dont connect the bluetooth right after you start the car and decide to connect it later, it wont be able to find your phone. I have to turn off my car for a couple of minutes. And connect it right away. Does this have the same issue?
We have not seen this issue, nor have any clients reported it to us. It should be auto connecting to the phone once the vehicle is turned on, is your Bluetooth off (on the phone) when you enter the vehicle?
Man I really wished you mentioned the pink wire was super important if you want to Use Android Auto!! It won't work without it being grounded and now I have to take it apart again to ground that brake cable :((((
For safety reasons....it is supposed to go the the parking brake. Then only work when the parking brake is on. Grounding it is a "cheat mode" install for sure. Other decks i have installed in the past need a switch to the ground, to act as if you are pulling your brake on and off.

I haven't done an install in yeeeers, and had no idea about this so I just wished it was mentioned so I could of set it up the first time. @@oji-chan hey sorry just seen this. So the easiest way to do it is to ground it to the actual deck metal plate, using one of the screws at the back. I used the little screw thats closest to the pink wire so top left. Works great now! But remember with great power comes great responsibility!😬

I bought a backup camera with this unit but it doesn't display the camera feed when I put it in reverse. Only when I press the AUX button in the menu then it shows me. How do I fix that?
I am just some dude watching this video and saw your comment here, but i just got one of these for my tahoe few days ago. It is one bada$$ unit! The sound quality is probably the best i have ever heard just running door speakers off a head unit with no amp. Im not even going to put an amp in anymore. It has preset EQ's or a custom one with the sliders up and down so you can tune it pretty good. Have not done any sub yet but the sub control section has all the stuff you would want with phasing and level, it has crossover for the sub built in to change Hz all kinds of stuff. The touch screen is again awesome! You never have to hit it more then once and it does what you tell it to right now. Crystal clear, powerful, all sorts of neat tunning capabilities, all around killer unit! I know i probably sound a bit over the top with this, but if you were thinking about getting one of these just buy it you will not regret it.
@@JayRaySpillsBlood if you hook the illumination wire up witch many don't mess with that wire, but this radio it's a must inorder for the volume buttons on the side to light up at night time. They light up blue btw it's nice touch. But in the day the screen is very bright and visible and at night it dims it's self and you can set it to dim more or less as long as the illumination is hooked up to be automatic.
Got this for 198CAD so like 150US, for my 2007 Honda Fit. I have new speakers in the front, stock speakers in the back. This thing f****n bumps! Like legit Huge! Difference in sound quality and volume over stock radio. So happy with it. It takes about 5 to 7 seconds to start everytime you cycle the key but otherwise it's bumping.
I installed mine in a 2005 crv, and re used the factory mounts. Un screwed them from my factory double din, and used the supplied screws to mount them on the nakamichi double din. Fits like a glove, and the supplied trim ring fits perfect too. Not sure how your pathfinder comes from factory, but this deck was simple to install for me. Bought a wire harness, plugged it in to the factory plug, and just matched up the colored wires, twist solder and tape.
I have a Nakamichi NA3610,,,But it doesn't work anymore...it Just start up and shuts down after loading...what could be wrong..Tried changing the Fuse still the same thing

Hi, After 2 months using this av receiver starts doing that, and after a little more days the av receiver didn’t turn on again, so I reset the av receiver and then it started work again. In the front of the receiver there is a rst button. I hope this works for you.
@@jacobkarl3560 These are $300 radios, a replacement screen would be at least $150+ if available (as mentioned it's not), so not really financially worth it to replace a screen that is half the cost of the entire product. How in the world did the screen get broken in the first place?

No the unit has SWC (steering wheel controls) built into it. For certain vehicles though, an external module may still be required.

No it does not, it looks like the they added to the 2300 as it is newer, but have not revised the NA3605 as of yet.

Did you ground the pink wire by piggy backing on the black wire? Or is there an easier way to do it like connecting the wire to the frame?

You have the camera plugged into the video in port, you need to change that to the backup cam port.
I'm certain it's plugged into the backup camera port. It's even powered by the reverse lights

How is the screen for viewing during the day is it very reflective ? The last double din I had I could hardly see anything during the day

Here is a vid i found for the pathfinder. Looks lile you need to buy an adapter piece. Looks pretty simple.
You need a specific dash kit and a harness connector..eBay or Amazon. Cheers.

The illumination wire on the back of the radio needs to be connected in order for the buttons to light up.
