Andy Falco, John Stickley, and Billy Strings jamming together is absolutely face meltingly joyful. Wish these three would share the stage more often. They are the best, each a genius in his own right. Can't get enough of this!
Saw the Stringdusters years ago at a small brewpub in southwest Michigan. The last hour or so of their set they came down off the little stage and played in the middle of the floor without any amplification, and we all stood around them and marveled at the incredible musicianship. Not sure how long ago, but the dobro player had no grey hair, and they had a wonderful mandolin player. One of the most astounding shows I have seen.
You probably dont give a shit but does anybody know a trick to log back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my login password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me.
@Colin Aden Thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
I just found it, listened 5 times already. Jerry Garcia kinda had this one down too. American Bluegrass ....nothing more beautiful made by humans exists...imho 🌌
Its called a D. I. box, Stage Box, or Pre -amp box. Can be active with a battery and pre=amp or Passive to boost the signal. Just Google them for full specs.
Ever notice how like 75% of flatpickers have gone to playing mahogany dreads? They cut through better, seems to me. I still dig rosewood, though - pre-war D-28s are hard to beat.
@@daveguitarnowski4402 - Cool. I like them, too. In 2010, I got a second-hand Taylor 614c, was red cedar on _maple_ , and was a really loud guitar, good for chord playing, AND soloing, & fingerstyle... @@belascialoja4812 mine's cedar on rosewood. It's one of the Supernatural series. TAN15C, if I recall correctly. I'm not much of a flatpicker in the bluegrass sense, so I'm not sure how it stands up to that sort of abuse lol.
@@daveandpentarnowski4517 - Oh yeah, cedar topped rosewood guitars can be awesome. That's the Taylor 710ce standard, and it's gorgeous-sounding. You can flatpick those, but I guess for the full-bore, Billy Strings-level ass-kicking bluegrass, you need an Adirondack spruce top. On rosewood or mahogany, maybe. I have a classical guitar that's cedar & rosewood, is a beautiful-sounding guitar.

Bloody outstanding 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️🔥
So much talent on this stage.
I'm gonna have to cut loose a dollar to see these cats sometime soon. The future of stringed musicianship is alive and well
It's the rest of the world just circling the drain. There's substantial hope for us all just given this. Ernest best regards.
Do it Earnest, life is short bro. 🤠
I never get tired of watching Billy play....so expressive. Good for my soul. All these guys are on fire. 🔥

That kicked ass
anyone know what the little boxes between the cable and mic are? Like a stand mounter pre amp or buffer or something?

I swear I heard a little Jack Bruce on that bass break!
And at the end of the guitar jam.
Pure Americana
Good good good
The bass solo.....

Ironically since this video was taken all three have switched to rosewood, and Falco an OM. Go figure.
I got a cedar top Takamine. It has some great qualities. Cutting through might not be one of them. Nice sound, though.

Billy acts like Tommy😅👍
Do you mean Tommy Emmanuel? Tommy said he uses his entire body as a metronome so I can see a resemblance.
