When it's over, they've already brought you back home. You should go see them live if you have the chance

I came here after previewing some song samples on the Amazon MP3 store. Listened to this all the way through, went back to Amazon and bought two albums. Been listening to them both for days.

+Mat Greenwood LSD is very mechanical and stressful, in a good or bad way depending on how you respond to the onset. DMT kind of stretches everything as soon as you hit it, slowly things pulsate, change color and melt together or apart in some fashion. There's a noise and everything builds up, the atmosphere and sound rise like a song, coming to a peak where you burst into this "dream." LSD keeps you on your toes, you're very engaged with everything, interested in everything. You're overwhelmed by the beauty of life, ideally, because it's like seeing everything you've ever known for the first time. DMT is like a dream and a dance. It doesn't last long really, but it can feel like it does. If you relax and enjoy it, without trying to grab onto bits and pieces, it's of perfect duration, and is a beautiful message- always relevant to your "situation" in life. Taking these substances is similar to hearing music for the first time, that's why no song could replace them.
I had no idea mellotron prog (a genre in itself?) was still produced today. I think it's awesome. It sounds more like early IQ, though ballsier, than 70 prog rock. It's really excellent.
prog and post rock have totally different sounds. Compare this to Explosions in the Sky and tell me they sound the same. but i see what you're getting at with the instrumental only.
It's like Pink Floyd and Rush mixed. This is awesome.
