I just went to Honda dealership in Roseville CA. Bought 5 quarts for $75. Now letting my car to cool down and eager to replace the ATF! Thank you again!
They are serviceable, I just bought my 2 filters for my hr-v cvt. The normal big filter that in on the transmission's pan and the small filter that go into the transmission's oil cooling circuit. That is why many people complain about this transmission, but the problem are the people, they do not replace both filters when they service this transmission.
Thanks so much for a very informative, well spoken, to the point and no BS musical intro. This is how a video should be done. (PS, please center your tire ramps for your own safety that looked a little scary).
Torque specs are 36ft/lb for the transmission drain bolt, 32 ft/lb for the check bolt. There are actually 2 filters for this transmission type, they should be changed on the 3rd transmission fluid change. Please do the check bolt next time, to ensure you don’t overfill it.
You’re a life saver thank you for this video!! I only wished you showed how to take out the cover underneath but I’ll figure it out I guess. Overall awesome video and very thorough 👍👍👌
Hey, there 👋 thanks for commenting. That cover has to come off and go on every oil change so I figured most folks had done that before. Hope you got it squared away 👍.
It’s about 13 screws and clips of various sizes and shapes, truly a pain in the butt, I bought a bunch of miscellaneous ones so I can replace a few that were missing
Thank you for the video. I need to perform this service on my daughters 2022. Seems just about as easy as an oil change. I will be using AMSOIL CVT fluid.
Another solid video, Joe. Just straight to the point with everything! We specifically produce LEDs for auto. Can we invite you to do a review for our product? If so,how can we connect with you?
In general, you should get it as level as possible to help with draining and filling properly. Being slightly off shouldn't make a significant difference.
I dont think so cause he knows how much is gonna take to fill so the level will be the same no matter the level if is 4.6 is gonna be 4.6 no matter what
I have the same car mine is a lx 2wd and when I did mine 4.2 was way to much it ended up being 3.5 my car was level on a lift and it was 3.5 quarters b4 it started dripping out the check plug
It doesn’t look to hard to do it I got quoted 280 dollars plus tax at the dealer for this job plus 90 dollars for the oil change 370 dollars 💵 lot of money!!
Right on. Sounds like you know everyone has their own recipe for success when it comes to servicing their vehicles. Would definitely suggest to everyone to consult their local dealership/owners manual/etc. Thanks for watching 🙏.
Thank you! You saved me from BRAKE MASTERS shop CHARGE OF $309 for a simple trans drain and fill!!!!
I told the Brake master rep “what a rip off!!!”

Glad it was helpful. Thanks for taking a second to comment. But yes, absolutely. If you can handle an oil change, this is just as easy.
This was so helpful! Thank you!
That's great. Really appreciate your time to comment.
Good time to check your transmission vent tube as well. They get clogged easily

I see you have an Instagram. You can DM me there at the same name with details.

Might check the owners manual, I believe the 2 wheel is 3.7 qts and 4 wheel is 4.2 qts.
I’ll check that, thanks!
Very good detail instructions

Hello! Quick question: do you know if the car doesn't have to be level to do this job?
In general, you should get it as level as possible to help with draining and filling properly. Being slightly off shouldn't make a significant difference.
I dont think so cause he knows how much is gonna take to fill so the level will be the same no matter the level if is 4.6 is gonna be 4.6 no matter what
I have the same car mine is a lx 2wd and when I did mine 4.2 was way to much it ended up being 3.5 my car was level on a lift and it was 3.5 quarters b4 it started dripping out the check plug
Don’t forget to chock your rear wheels and set your parking brake for safety’s sake.
Solid advice 💪
4.2 or 3.7? For the all-wheel drive and the two-wheel drive it's completely different?
Just fill it until it overflows. then drive it and check the level again and make sure it overfills.
How often we have to do this?
Like every 30-35k miles
Hi Bro, does HRV 2024 have differential fluid that we need to change?
Mine is front wheel drive, but if you have an awd model, I'm sure it does.
Thank you!!
Glad it helped. Thanks for taking a second to comment 🙏🙏!
Don’t forget to remove & clean the breather.
It doesn’t look to hard to do it I got quoted 280 dollars plus tax at the dealer for this job plus 90 dollars for the oil change 370 dollars 💵 lot of money!!
Whoa, that's a good bit of money. It isn't any more difficult than an oil change in my opinion. Let me know if you get it knocked out 👊.
hi....4L +200 m.L?
4.2 quarts is the given spec.
Hcf2 in Malaysia 3.5l 1bottle@@JoDempseySales
I have a 2019 HRV, 31+K.. When should I change the OIL..?
Every 50-60k miles.
Spanner size?
3/8" drive ratchet
Whoever told you no filters is a liar there’s 2 I just dos them on my sister in laws 19
Yes, there are filters. They are just not part of the 30k mile service interval is what the dealer explained to me.
@ awe my buddy is a foreman at local he told me to do the pan filter every 30 and the upper ever 60 knock on wood 160k on original transmission
