Great review. I had the chance to hit this club today for the first time and glad that I picked it up. I'm using a 9deg face, XS shaft - glad to have the 9deg face as the launch is quite high. Extremely playable driver. Highly recommended.
Picked one of these up from a garage sale for $50 on the weekend... of course you’ve got a review from 10yrs ago on it😂 Your dress sense has almost improved as much as the camera framing 😁
The best description for Mizuno drivers is that they're under-rated. What I like about them is that they have a classic, clean look and aren't crammed with over-branding and 'gimmicks' like some *cough* TaylorMade *cough* drivers. Try one out and see if you like it.
Thanks Mark! Been keen to hear your thoughts on this club. How do you think it compares to the MX700? I have the MX700 and have loved it so wondering if I should "upgrade!" And what do you think of the 3 wood? Best wishes, Paul
I purchased the mx560 after your review a few years ago and love it...long balls crank out to 350 like a laser. Is this club any better then my 560 and is their any realistic benefits? thank you in advance
I found the mx700 to sit slightly closed, is this the same? Will this club be available in left handed as well? Could you do some testing with trackman as to spin rate and launch angle in comparison to something like a d2. How much draw are we talking about? I use a g10 would this compare and be similar.
@eh82007 Well I had Mizuno run the serial number for me and they said it was authentic, it's SS11. But I played with it today and the sound is just terrible. I've never known Mizuno to do this with their woods. I"ve played their clubs for years but after today this driver is going back. Oh, I bought it from a dealer on ebay, he says he's an authorized dealer. I wish I could find one somewhere to demo so I could be sure. Thanks
Has anyone notice that the sound of these Drivers are really loud and sort of like a metal coke bottle? I just bought one, it's already got a small crack below the hosel on the back and next to the face plate. I've read where a couple of other guys have the same problem. My question is , is this crack causing this or they just normally sound this way? help?

I like the 10 gram weight inside. It is bringing some of the features on older drivers and is a bit sporty. Very nice.

can you comment a little bit on the shaft options for the club?
will the 5 grams in the heal fix my over the top swing?
joking
what shaft comes in it
@superscootkid It comes in exsar DS5
JPX800 does not sit at all closed. Very square to the eye.
