I made this deck and it's quite genius. It takes a while to fully understand how to synergize everything together, but it is tight as hell. The only thing I changed is the 2 squid faces. I find having 2 undercity huckster's make a nice early play with the raptors. It fixed a problem I was having with not having enough board control from turn 1-5, plus the death rattle of getting an extra spell is more useful than some extra attack, as it doesn't rely on having a weapon to be useful, and you can get some op spells or minions to use later while waiting for an old gods play. The brann is useful in almost any situation in this deck, very smart addition. Thanks for the deck list
@Kripparian There's a Astral Communion druid deck made by Thijz or whatever his name is that plays C'thun with just double Arakkoa. The deck also runs Y'shaarj so it's two old gods.
+Zen Masta I thought so too, so I crafted one and played 10 games so far with a similar deck and I've never drawn it. It still won a fair amount without it, so the rest of the deck is pretty good on its own as well.
+Zen Masta People were totally missing why Blade is such a good card. It's a 4/4 for 4 and assassinate in 1 card. While separate, those don't seem too impressing, combining those two effects into one card is fantastic. Tempo swing.
As someone who typically only gets to about 5 wins in arena, I have to say Shadow Strike got me to 9 for the first time. Had 3 in my arena deck and they saved my ass so many times.
I use a much prefered Reno version of this. Its pretty hard to lose to aggro if you run shadowstep and shadowcaster to bring back reno, and against control and midrange you have your usual deathrattle nzoth/cthun cards.
+adolfo estrada ive always found it to be useful, as long as you dont topdeck it in a bad spot. Specially with disciple of cthun, blade of cthun and as I said, Reno.
TheGamer583 I think it has a lot to do with my play style, i prefer having niche game winning plays and occasionally missing out on value in other situations.
My deck is also a rogue with the same 2 old gods, but different in many places. I don't have a Xaril, so I added a journey below. Since class cards are weighted to be 4 times more likely on discovers, you have three 1 out of 8 chances to get it. I also included tomb pillagers because it's one of the better deathrattles. It's also a Reno deck, but I've never had to use him yet to win a game.
+Jesse Frederick I get the feeling I need to just try to add you and watch you play or something. Got another friend who does funky things with rogue like that. I don't know what would amuse me during dinner without 'em. Putting Reno in that is curious. Reno feels somewhat win conditiony - the goal is to drop him against a hunter or shaman and they just instantly concede because they already burned reach on your face/taunts. It's probably not necessary - the whole point of the two-old-gods setup is that you have a good variety of win conditions. Stuff like Sylv and Cairne can win off value all on their own, and having cards like Sap or Shadow Strike means you can easily dig out a tempo win. Then again, even Kripp's running Apothecary here, so it's not like Reno is totally out of place. It's just that he's far from the priority he is in most decks that have him.
I watch more Hearthstone than I play these days, but sure, I'd love to have you on my friends list. You're one of the few names here that I recognize for a positive reason lol. The idea behind Reno is to give some longevity to rogue. Rogues naturally use their health as a resource, which is fine in a tempo deck, but in a control deck like this is a real danger towards the end of the game. It helps against the aggro like you mentioned, but also freeze mage and other decks that don't have a lot of minions for apothecary to trigger. Perhaps a more honest reason is it makes deckbuilding easier because I can just add 30 cards I want instead of 12 pairs and leaving some out. I don't think cards like shadowcaster would make the cut otherwise.
Jesse Frederick Yeah, Reno's always a fun excuse - and when making a multi-purpose deck like C'Thun + N'Zoth, which also usually includes a few one-of legendary deathrattles for the latter, it's actually not hard to fit. Mostly means cutting some of the core tempo cards like Saps. Deathrattle is meant to help the freeze mage matchup at least a bit, as does C'thuns burst + set to 1, and Reno just makes it perfect. Also helps the Shaman matchup, but Apothecary or even something like a Cyclopian can do that. And yeah, I think I've played something like 40 matches this year. I mostly watch a friend arena (often multiple runs daily). We average a bit over 7 lately, so it's good fun (barring painful streaks of bad RNG). Dabor#1724
So from what I've seen, this deck needs to be -1 sunfury protector, +1 huckster, -2 cult apothecary, +2 shadowcaster, and -2 squidface, +2 tomb pillager. I also think earthen ring farseer and another defender of argus belong in there, I just can't figure out where. Maybe -1 loot hoarder? Also 2x sap and zero eviscerates makes this deck seem less control oriented and more tempo, which sort of contradicts the inclusion of the 9 and 10 drops (besides maybe N'Zoth). Overall, deck looked pretty fun, but that's my opinion for anyone who wants to make it more competitive for current meta.
We've seen lots of C'Thun and N'Zoth decks, and even a few Yogg-Saron, so when do we get to see one with Y'Shaarj? I bet Kripp could make a crazy ramp druid deck with it!
Samuel Alphabet That was more of a focus on Astral Communion as opposed to ramping up to Y'Shaarj. I feel like Kripp could build another Old God focused deck using more removal and board clear to make it efficient.
Eric O A 10 mana 10/10 isn't bad by any means... It's literally a Faceless Behemoth with a pretty crazy and potentially game changing effect attached for free. Getting Sylvanas or Deathwing on the board without doing anything but playing Y'Shaarj sounds pretty incredible to me. I will admit that playing Y'Shaarj and getting a Disciple of C'Thun, however, would be absolutely terrible, so I can see why people think it's a bad card.
I play a C'thun deck with 3 C'thun cards, Standard Dragon Paladin + 2x Disciples + C'thun Maybe -Tirion and +Twin emperors It's a nice finisher for how controlly my deck is.
I use something similar to this but just with one blade, one pandas and one 4/2. Oh! And it's a Reno deck! It's not that hard to make it, most of the cards in the deck can be replaced for a similar card and you can add Reno.
I've made a deck very similar to this. Didn't include squidface or apothecary but I think that I like your reasoning for them. flattered that you came with the same concept haha.
+xGisbitus I don't run N'Zoth. I put more emphasis on battlecries and use the shadow caster to get cheap copies. Ideally I can shadow aster bran and get a one mans bran that can be combined with hand of cthun to ramp it up by more than +12/12 in a turn
Kripparrian should make another update video on the status of his dust collection and close he is to pushing the button with all the new cards released.
I just watched the intro.. deck seems cool, but i'm quite confused about Southsea Squidface.. it is good but you tend to take a lot of damage to abuse your weapon and we're talking about control rogue so.. can this deck live through the aggression? Is Cult Apothecary and the weapon buff enough to justify them? I'm just asking simply because to me make much more sense to play Tomb Pillager instead (..that might opens up a Sir Finley Mrrgglton?) based on the high curve of the deck
+InfectedAmaro After trying it for about 30 games, I would say it doesn't work. Like you said you end up taking way too much damage and Cult Apothecary doesn't make up for it, as the only time you will get a good heal from it is if your opponent has flooded the board, which means you're already behind and unless you already have Brann out the heal won't be enough to save you.
i didn't have xaril or thalnos so i put in gang up. its not quite as good but is worth it for the insane games that sometimes happen (i once played 2 n'zoths against a warrior who used his removal too early).I also recommend the brann doomcaller combo.
This looks almost identical to a deck I've been running all week. Just a 9 card difference, I run finnly, hucksters, c'thuns chosen, journey below, and eviscerate instead of the sap, the azures, south seas, cult apothecary, and the 2 taunt givers.
Have you had a chance to try Hotform's Moonkin Druid? I've tried it with an Elise and Reno/Trueheart package as well as one built around Malygos. The former is goes to Fatigue (right up your alley) and the latter focuses on sending nukes to the face.
Last days I've been playing with a all spell hunter deck, it's quite fun and works better than expected. I'm wondering what your magic could do with it. I'm even still missing out on important spells and have won 3-0 on rank 17 ladder and 2-1 on common with it
Hey Kripp can you maybe do an guide on the deck tracker i tried it myself couldnt figured it out tho how it looks on youre screen would help alot thanks for the great content everyday . keep it up
I still think putting in at least 1 Shadowcaster, would be nice for them late game combo with Blade of c'thun, or more n'zoth spawning and such, cuz the druid game(1st druid), having another blade of c'thun at 1 mana still retaining its effect would be amazing. Cause who does not want a 1 mana assassinate c:
Kripp.. i usually dont comments on your decks because i never have something to say except now. I've been trying to do the same, even just with C'thun alone, but trying to include also shadowmaster (my favorite card). I've create amazing combos like filling my entire board with the twin emperors, but it lacks substantial in the early game and board clearence. I dont have Xaril, nor the second blade, but i will really like to inclde shadowmaster to your deck list, or try to create a deck based on both. Its been hard, but i love the card so much, and it has given me so many fun moments i mean, its just amazing. What would you do?
Won 3 out of 10 games at around rank 15 (usually I reach rank 5 at end of season). Most losses way before turn 8. N'Zoth was always strong, if I could play it. C'Thun and Twin Emperors were dead cards most of the time. Apothecary was very underwhelming - either not needed at all for the win or just delaying the inevitable loss by 1 or 2 turns. I don't see how this deck can be accelerated enough to be competitive, while still keeping the 2 Gods.
+Alex Rodriguez that one is entirely preference. Fan of knives isn't always enough to curb zoo decks so I wanted another taunt for them to work through and sons insurance to make sure C'thun hits 10/10 before turn 7.
+marcogb13 there are more important things in life to care about, have you ever done anything to help other people? If you keep yourself busy helping others, then trivial things like these won't bother you.
Might not be tier 1, but it damn sure is an intense deck to play. Hilariously close games happen and your opponents are just looking like wtf is this. I've already killed 2 warriors by blade of cthun on their grom, then next turn lethal them with their own grom dmg xD
+GullibleHS Y'Shaarj is a piece of shit. Also, because he plays minions from the deck, their battlecries don't even trigger. Hate that I opened a golden version of him but didn't get N'Zoth or Yogg.
Personally I think this deck could run with at least one less loot hoarder. Just with n'zoth I find it takes up space with n'zoth that could be better used
What is a deck other than N'Zoth that's currently really strong in standard meta? I tried kripp's murloc deck but i only have like a 55% winrate with it and such a mediocre winrate makes the grind to big for in lower ranks.
I always wonder who I'm watching, but thankfully he lets me know in the first two seconds that it's Kripparian here.
+IWubYooz I always wonder whether or not I'm being watched in my apartment and he lets me know he'll see me either tomorrow or "next time".
I actually always thought he would say "hey, how is it going companion?"
+IWubYooz I always wonder "Was that play bullshit?"
It always is

Double Old Gods, for when even "overkill" just isn't enough.

It is amazing how every time I play a couple games, I play against exact copies of the decks you show off.
Found good success with the N'zoth, C'thun, Reno deck, managed 3 renos in one game
damn it kripp, i was crushing unsuspecting noobs with control rogue and now everyone will be watching for it

"I think nine damage is a lot for a druid to do from nothing."

R.I.P the holy combo
No Shadowstep in a Rogue C'thun deck is wrong on so many levels. It has insane synergy with tons of the big C'thun cards and the old god itself
I agree
+YoshipPL Xaril can give you a shadowstep so it's not that bad
+YoshipPL If they have a big C'thun in hand shadowstep can cost you the game though I discovered but it usually owns
Yes, but this isn't strictly a C'thun rogue. You mostly just want C'thun because it's an insanely string card and gives access to twin emperors
been trying to improve the nzoth deck for rogue, i really like this one
My deck is also a rogue with the same 2 old gods, but different in many places. I don't have a Xaril, so I added a journey below. lol that "kill him" at 16:38 is definitely going to be in the next hearth funny video
Thanks for the video, Kripp.
I think, that second blade of C'Thun would be really expensive so what do you think about replacing it with shadowcaster?
I would love to see some Wild Decks!
I'm trying a 4 God Deck in Druid. So far it's working pretty well.
I play a C'thun deck with 3 C'thun cards, Standard Dragon Paladin + 2x Disciples + C'thun
Maybe -Tirion and +Twin emperors
It's a nice finisher for how controlly my deck is.
I use something similar to this but just with one blade, one pandas and one 4/2. Oh! And it's a Reno deck! It's not that hard to make it, most of the cards in the deck can be replaced for a similar card and you can add Reno.
i really really like this deck. looks pretty polished and well thought through
I've made a deck very similar to this. Didn't include squidface or apothecary but I think that I like your reasoning for them.
flattered that you came with the same concept haha.
This is similar to my rogue shadow caster deck but I work for more combo synergy instead of death rattle
+xGisbitus I don't run N'Zoth. I put more emphasis on battlecries and use the shadow caster to get cheap copies. Ideally I can shadow aster bran and get a one mans bran that can be combined with hand of cthun to ramp it up by more than +12/12 in a turn
Didn't have Xaril, replaced with Cairne. Seems to be working out okay, but dropped consistency early on. Considered replacing for SI:7. Thoughts?
I used Blade of C'thun against The Ancient One, opponent conceded.
Kripparrian should make another update video on the status of his dust collection and close he is to pushing the button with all the new cards released.

When is kripp coming to VHS?
This looks almost identical to a deck I've been running all week.
Just a 9 card difference, I run finnly, hucksters, c'thuns chosen, journey below, and eviscerate instead of the sap, the azures, south seas, cult apothecary, and the 2 taunt givers.
Almost identical? 9 card difference?
Bro, that's almost 1/3 of the deck that's different!
+Brett Harrison concept, purpose, game plan, and 2/3 the deck are the same though.
N'zoth and reno is also a fun deck. Ive played that quite a lot...
05:37 to skipthekripp
Does Blade of C'thun give the killed minion's stats to C'thun twice if we have Brann on board?
yep
And he kills it twice lol
+Thatedvardguy
Would N'zoth or Kel'thuzad then resurrect that minion twice?
+Xqwzts no its meant more as a joke.
That means you can kill carine bloodhoof twice?
0:03 rofl.. that head bob in the beginning
I slotted a bgh for a Drake. seems to work as a backup plan before blade of cthun can be played.

Anyone would be able to guess it was rogue lol. Blade/disciple of c'thun allows you to have SOOO many free slots lol.
Just dissenchanted a lot of shit to craft two blade C'thuns, so hpefully this is good!
check out noxious' triple old god deck, its REALLY FUN playing with yogg nzoth and cthun
nice deck! but i dont know why you have here that sunfury protector...
Great Deck! Fun and very control.
Got legend with this deck today really awesome even if ur drawluck isnt that great ty for that
Man this deck looks fun! Can you guys give me some replacements for Thalnos, Xaril, Twin Veklor, 2 Blade of C'thuns, and N'zoth?
+Matt Last Huffers
Dog played Cthun rogue with 3 cthun cards (2 pandas + 1 blade)
Hey, Kripp. You ever run Blood of the Ancient One as a one of in your decks yet?
+Kaioxys DarkMacro Why don't you search: "Kripparian Blood of the Ancient one" It would take less time than it took to write that sentence.
+Kaioxys DarkMacro Yes he made a priest Ancient One deck
Wouldnt shadowstep be super good in this deck? Idk what you'd replace though
+uplm thats what I think too
hey guys Kripparian here, today I made a stupid deck and beat some noobs at rank 15, this is the best old gods deck
I have been trying high mana ramp druid with cthun and Y'shaarj, its good, but not better then this.
No Undercity Huckster? Seems better then loot hoarder especially with unearthed raptor, since it cant be killed with a ping.
+Rob Dillenger it's so he can get to the important cards in his deck. like the gods and their support stuff
Hi Kripp, will you make video about new Emperor?
I wonder, what's your outro music Kripp?
Personally I think this deck could run with at least one
less loot hoarder. Just with n'zoth I find it takes up space with n'zoth that could be better used
pirate Warrior for me is the best deck right now
+Luiz Ricardo Braga I'm loving me some pirate warrior too. Not as successful as my budget version of this Rogue but more fun
11:30 "I love sylvanas"
Sylvanas kripp Waifu confirmed
Why don't you add shadowstep for the C'Thun, Xaril, azure, cult, nzoth?
I hate Kipp cause I been playing a deck like this for weeks and now he makes a vid and EVERYONE will be playing it! :D Damn you Kipparrian!!!!
2:08 i thought that his toungue will blow up
I stopped playing rogue because of patron warrior. How do you effectively deal against that deck?
Never skipp the kripp
What is a deck other than N'Zoth that's currently really strong in standard meta? I tried kripp's murloc deck but i only have like a 55% winrate with it and such a mediocre winrate makes the grind to big for in lower ranks.
