  • An inquest into the death of a teenager at University Hospital Limerick has heard harrowing accounts from her parents about the hours leading up to her death.
Sixteen-year-old Aoife Johnston died at University Hospital Limerick in 2022, after contracting sepsis.
The first day of the inquest into the death of the schoolgirl also heard how other patients begged staff to treat Aoife ahead of them, such was the seriousness of her condition.

Dude .. those people could work 24/7 and still the condition in European hospitals wouldn’t improve .. go after the people who work it now.. and you will ALL die .. that is what happens when the government runs healthcare ..

I know the HSE is a disaster zone and that heads need to roll in leinster house. I can only speak of my own experience in another hospital. The thing I noticed most was the amount of immigrants presenting in the ED. The second thing I noticed was that almost all the hospital staff were non Irish. Ireland's population growth is out of control due to mass immigration. The foreign hospital staff are used to these thirld world conditions. Import the thirld world, become the thirld world. Our FG and FF politicians prefer to spend billions on unvetted migrants than spend it on Irish medical staff in our hospitals.
