Same here; I had mine sitting in my garage for almost 3 years before I found a shop to rebuild my engine last week. As soon as I get it back, I’ll be moving on to the rear suspension, and I won’t be stopping this time around. I will get her done! I believe you'll see me at a car show soon.😁
For sure man, got to get creative with these cars. Check my playlist I have the full build from start to its current state. If you enjoy it please Sub!
She sits low, nice. What every Z should be. Thoroughly enjoyed watching all previous episodes. Gained a lot of knowledge from this build. Just can't wait for the next episode.
Nice you didn't panic when you had the rub! I had coilovers on a 2nd Gen Q45 and ran into the same thing. My 84' Z31 is on conventional springs and shocks aleit replaced with Eibach and KYB
You sold me on the powertrix coilovers. I've heard nothing but good things about em, going to pretty much copy your suspension build, and eventually look at perhaps maybe thinking about slamming a VG30DETT in it. (I heard it fits without too, to much trouble.)
They are ok, I just like full adjustment in my suspension. The springs didn't allow me to do that. I also love to be able to have multiple dampening choices. These coilovers allow me to set things just the way I like them.
Soo 11mm from the bump steers and 15mm spacer up front that is 26mm mmm doesn't make sense..that rim should had clear the coilovers..pastpower also makes bump steers, you should look into it..great job man.👌
My thoughts also but I was looking at the video and noticed that the coilover body is larger in diameter compared to the stock strut housing. Also the tire is a 225 width and is just slightly touching the spanner nut. The 11mm offset bumpsteer spacer doesn't effect the rim backspacing just camber but sticks the wheel out 11mm. The 15mm spacer will allow me to clear coilovers no problem and flush things up with the fender. I know on the video I said I think it is the spacer but now I just think it's a combination of everything.
@@importmodify I had the same issue on my fronts. The coilover spanner rubbed a ring into my tire and I had to throw some 12mm spacers on. Looks great btw, flush fit stock wheels look like it was meant to be.
1 question?..I'm not into the SLAM look... rather the even stance with tire to top fender flush look..with the power trix can I achieve it?..soo can it be raised to stock and little by little drop it?..or rite out of the box is just LOW?..
@@turbofedz8997 it can't be raised to stock height but I have my car sitting at the tire to fender level. I can fit 1 finger in the gap. I think it's like a 4 inch drop or so from stock. Don't quote me.
Finally more people doing z31 videos!!! 👍🏼
Z31s will becoming more popular in futurr!!! They are getting harder to find super clean.
Bought mine, nearly clean for 5k. Needs TLC, but runs great
I bought an 87 for my 16 year old. It’s awesome and beautiful, but we are having a hell of a time finding parts
@@bravo2aviation tell me about it lol
@@bravo2aviation yea my control arm cracked I just decided to get it welded a lot cheaper than 250$
Love seeing the Z31 content man! This is a video all of the Z31 community will use.
Thank you for this video !
Brother you have encouraged me to pull my Z31 out of the garage and get it going again...I love your videos and the knowledge you share!
Thanks! Now pull that Z out and get it going!

Finally a video on the z31 I just bought one and trying to learn how to mod it is so hard without anyone to help guide

I'm glad you show your trials as well and admit when you run into a problem because we all do and it helps seeing you work through it
Yeah for sure! Nobody gets things done the first time every time.

Yes I agree these cars look beautiful low. Keeps the lines flowing better when dropped. Glad you enjoy the channel!
Dito! I'm learning a lot
My welder just watched this to do my coil sleeves. THANX MAN! ❤️🤘
Your welcome
It’s looks so good man! I can’t wait to see it in person and feel the difference!
Yeah for sure man. It does look a different car now those coilovers.

Yeah I dont freak out on stuff like that. Just try to understand the reason why and fix it. Coilovers are the way to go with these old cars.
Another awsome suspension vid great music i liked the fade in and out before and after shots
Thank you! I'm happy you are liking the contents. I try hard to keep things interesting.

Awesome! Yeah I've seen some Z31s with the vg30de in them but not the twin turbo. It ought to be a ripper!
Looks so good with those coilovers
I just placed order Coilover for my Z31 🚙
Awesome 👌
Where can I get the headlights?
87 and newer have these headlights. Mine came with the car.
Who does the instrumental tracks? They're dope!
I get them from UA-cam's approved music library. I edit and pick the songs myself.
q45 calipers?
My calipers are factory 87 z31 turbo model
What rotors are you running by the way?
They are power sport. You can get them cheap on eBay.
I gotta 94 z32 slicktop. I love it and wouldn't trade her for anything. But man, your z31 is fuckin sexy. Can't wait to see it with the wheel spacers.
Thanks! New episode is out if you haven't watched it already.
Well done brother. She looks mean!
Thank you very much!
Were you unhappy with the lowering springs?
They are ok, I just like full adjustment in my suspension. The springs didn't allow me to do that. I also love to be able to have multiple dampening choices. These coilovers allow me to set things just the way I like them.
Where are you located? I’m in San Diego CA with a 87 Z31 turbo, would to cruise around when this Z gets finished.
That would be very cool but I'm in Texas.
Shit, I’m trying to get out to DFW or Waco when I’m done with school out here next year.
I'm in Amarillo TX
How much did these coilers costed?
I believe they are 1400 for the UL ones but they sell a cheaper one. Check them out @ powertrix.com
Wasn’t this in Facebook group chat? Or am I tripping?
Yes I share my links so other Z31 owners can watch if they like or just enjoy the pictures.
Awesome video! I drift a z31
Bad ass! Don't see many Z31's drifting. These cars are becoming more popular.
U sale this CAR or not I want to buy zx
Not at this time sorry. If I decide I'll let you know.

Ok thanks.
Coilovers don't fit with stock wheels that's why power trick sells spacers with the coils
Yeah got that figured out. Thanks
See if you love it when you become airborne and loose it . Very dangerous on road
Why would that happen?
